Didn't we get a teaser about the Yahg in Kasumi's Greybox? In the Trophy room.

No.  That was an reference to Dragon Age.  An ogre, to be exact:

ARE YOU LISTENING TO THIS CASEY? Mr. "we're trying to get away from dialog".

Um, what the hell are you talking about?  I've never seen that quote before.  Got a source for it?

In the 3rd video archive sequence, is it wrong that I laughed like a maniac at Urdnot Torsk frying that guy with a flamethrower?

Wow, that's taking it well out of context.  He obviously meant taking it away from dialogue-only, talking heads style stuff and towards more cinema-like storytelling (something he specifically notes still has conversation).

I don't know if this has been asked already, but does anyone know who Fred Mazzei is (from the video archive on the Shadow Broker base)

He's Elias Kelhem's (sp) Lawyer from the interrogation.

That's who that was.  Driving me nuts.  I think we now know how he got delayed in traffic....

I thought it was perversely funny to see the salarian's arms flailing about too. :?

The only thing that bugs me about it is that it doesn't really gibe with the way things are if Wrex is in power, but you can always just say they're not as recent as that development.

Only I think that Shadow Broker's VI ia actually AI? How can VI predict consequnces of millions unimportant on first look events and decide which of them could be important for current Shadow Broker?

So, I played this DLC post SM with male Shep. This Shep romanced Liara in ME1. He had since romanced Miranda in ME2 because Liara was quite cold toward him before this DLC. So, played LotSB and rekindled the flame with Liara. Afterward, I can still call up Miranda to my quarters and talk to her in her office with no knowledge that anything is different. Liara made no mention of me cheating on her as others have mentioned. Here's hoping this doesn't bone me somehow in ME3. Anyone else see this? Bug?

Just finished - have to say that was by far the best DLC I've played. Really great if you romanced Liara (as my femshep did) - wonderful way to continue the relationship. I didn't feel that Liara had "moved on" as somebody earlier said.

My femshep did a paragon interrupt when Liara tried to make this excuse -- I'm not sure, and it may just be a slightly botched animation, but I think she just bit Liara's neck, who promptly got all swoony! :D

Car chase - really fun, especially the Liara/Shep banter "Truck." "ISEE it!". The dossiers - loved them (Miranda...a dating service? hilarious. Her medical report - not so much).

My favorite is when Shepard asked "What weapon does this thing have?" and Liara said "It's a TAXI.  It has a FARE METER!"

After playing it once, there was just one thing that really bugged me about this. When the Asari Spectre took the hostage on Illium, I was given the dialogue choices, but both the paragon and renegade choices were greyed out. Renegade I could understand, I barely touched those, but my Paragon score was maxed and beyond. Is there something I'm missing here?

Did you play the first game? Did you save the council?

Depends on the Krogan. Wrex would definitely win.  Grunt probably would too.  Uvenk would get wrecked hard, had I not done that already.

I did and I did.  This was a character that was Paragon through everything.  But I don't see why that should matter in that specific situation.

So basically the Shadow Broker is a combination of some person who's in charge plus a really complicated bit of software for filtering and sorting stuff... though I don't think it has to go as far as being a full-blown AI.
(I'm sorta somewhere between agreeing with you and taking your idea in a slightly different random direction...)

What I particularly liked was the fact the the Yahg has a different dialog for each squadmember that is brought to the final fight. Actually, there are two dialogs for each squadmember. I took Kasumi with me before doing her loyalty mission and the Yahg mentioned that she "wouldn't be making it to Hock's party." On the flip side, I took Samara with me after doing hers and the Yahg said the her daughter "wasn't a proper challenge." With regards to Jacob and Miranda (both post loyalty missions)...the Yahg said that their deaths would cripple Cerberus. This has really peaked my curiosity because now, I want to know what he would say about all squadmembers pre and post loyalty missions. Hmph, I guess that I'll be busy for a while to say the least.

Shadow broker is basically the Dred Pirate Roberts.

I think the fact the Bartender is looking like she is likely Liara's father makes a lot of sense as to why an Assari Matriarc would be working at a bar like that. It's highly likely she took the job there to be close to her daughter... I like that. It also make sense the Shadow broker would have her on the watch list since Liara was on his tail.

Did anyone else pick the "I'm frustated" dialogue when talking with Liara? It pretty much summed up everything i felt about everything. I hadn't really been able to express my frustration with the council, with cerberus and my friends leaving me before this DLC. Was a really good piece of dialogue.
