*SPOILER ALERT*

Just finished it and all I have to say are two things: 1.) It was cool as hell and anyone who said that the SB was a race we havent seen yet was right. Fighting him was fun too. And 2.) In regards to Liara joining the squad: I....Told.....you....Sooooooooooo lol. False hope does NO one any good. You guys STILL have to wait for ME3 to get her back in the squad :P

Good thing i didn't make any bets on the SB being Liara's "Dad" which was my best guess.  The leaked audio file suggested she stays behind but it was fun to speculate anyways.  Even knowing this I don't feel spoilered at all.  The adventure is the journey, not knowing the destination.

Cheers!

Was damn fun regardless lol....

It's 5:46 in California right now. LotSB is still not yet released for PC users. I'm very disappointed.

Disappointed that they didnt release it 3 hours earlier than they announced?  Must be nice being the center of the universe!

What abou the new power that some preview talked about? do we really get them? are they like extra "Loyalty" power that shep can use as bonus power? Can anyone answer without giving some story spoiler.

OK, here come the spoilers!!!

*Spolers, you've been double warned*

Car chase on illium was amazing, but too short! More damn it!

I totally saw the other spectre's betrayal coming. The trailer kinda spoilt it, you could see her wrestling with shepard.

Was dissapointed that Tazzik didn't make an appearance, he would have made an awesome boss.

Shadow Broker reveal as a weird alien was surprising. I expected some reaper pawn to tie it back into the main plot. It wasn't too bad. I was a little dissapointed there wasn't a 3rd mission though. To manage to get to the shadow broker in 1 attempt seemed a little too easy with his reputation, I kind of expected the ship to be empty, then we'd go after the broker somewhere else. Maybe i'm just being greedy though.

Video terminal in the intel centre is hilarious. To see Khalisah al-Jilani get punched yet again! Priceless! So Priceless!

Liara complaining that i'd cheated on her with "a tatooed woman with anger issues" was fantastic! Loved that attention to detail with the specific mention of jack.

I also loved the Shadow Broker commenting on whoever your 2nd squadmate was. I had Kasumi and his little comment about her greybox was great.

overall, amazing DLC. So much depth in it, when you think about how many conversations, and different import possibilities have been accounted for, it's quite amazing what bioware have pulled off.

Basically: 3 cheers for the devs.

As you guys who have played it will know...... Is the mission set post or pre suicide mission.

I ask as I want to know if I should go get the IFF, do legions loyality, do the collector mission..

Or stay put in orbit around illuim and do the shadow broker before doing that.

People wondering when the big moment happens where they can move from speculation to spoilerrific discussion:Bioware plans to release the DLC for the PC at 10 a.m. MST. XBox will release the DLC for the console on their own schedule, which traditionally has been before the PC release.

Top of this thread, in fact.

sorry, I don't have a way to plug my xbox into a PC. You'll have to wait a few hours for the PC players to get their turn.

To stewie1974:

You can play it before OR after the suicide mission. I haven't tried before the mission, but there's alot of post-suicide mission dialog you will miss out on if you haven't finished the game yet. I don't know if they've added in extra dialog for people who play it pre or not.

Holy hell, that DLC was amazing.

I didn't romance Liara in the first game (waited for Tali) so I didn't get to see all the content, and I missed out on an achievement, but it doesn't matter, it was great none the less.

Bravo, BioWare. If this is what ME3 is going to be like, I look forward to it.

never mind... I just looked at the wiki and it said "The DLC can be played during the game or after the suicide mission, but the dialogue is "weighted heavily toward the assumption that the player had already completed it."

So I guess I goes and saves the galaxy again first.

And thanks matthra, didn't see your post till after I posted this.

Agreed with all your points. I also like to add that even better than finding out who the Shadow Broker is, was just chilling with Liara a bit on the Normandy (though my Shep never romanced her); much more priceless. Especially, as mattahraw mentioned, with the references tuned to your choices.

If you cheated on liara and after the mission I don't suppose that your new LI has any new dialogue?

Okay, since this is the spoiler forum, my post will have 'em. You've been warned.

It was awesome. Now I want one for Kaidan/Ashley as well ;)

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

I played it with a femShep who romanced Liara in ME and stayed faithful in ME2, and it was worth it. The chase scene was pretty priceless, even though I messed it up a few times, and the banter between Shepard and Liara was fantastic. More of that between party members in ME3, please! The Spectre betrayal was indeed clear from a mile away and I was a bit miffed Shepard didn't get a dialogue option stating that, but not a big deal. The Shadow Broker reveal was surprising, but not terribly engaging since it had nothing to do with basically anything we'd seen before. Still, for me that was a minor thing since I played the DLC for Liara and Liara alone.

The romance stuff was the best romance stuff in the whole franchise so far. Damn, make it this good for the other options as well! And give some love for those poor Sheps who just got the frigidly cold shoulder from Kaidan/Ashley on Horizon! I also thought the dossiers and everything else in the Broker's HQ was very cool. Wonderful attention to detail (for the most part, some nitpicking to follow) and it was great that all the other NPCs got some love as well.

All in all, well worth the price tag, at least for me. It's good to have Liara back, even if she's not on the ship. I'm not terribly fond of the "bossfight" type of game design, but they weren't very difficult and even though I had to replay the end fight because I completely missed the absolutely vital Paragon interrupt after it, it wasn't too much of a hassle (at least on Veteran difficulty). Special props for giving us the HQ to explore after the fight content was done with, and especially for allowing us to resolve the romance situation with Liara.

The minor nitpickings: Liara's makeover was not a success. She looked great in ME2 before the DLC came along, so please get rid of the goth make-up in the future. Also, a tiny mistake in one of the dossiers: Shepard was referred to as "he", although mine definitely was a "she". There were quite a few typos as well, especially in names (such as Serracino when it's supposed to be Saracino, etc.).

Great DLC, loved it. Even though I never romanced Liara in the first game, she was tempting me the little time I had alone with her at the end. The video terminal you have access to is pure gold. Volus shin kick!

Too bad about Miranda though ;_;

Beat it, got 3 achievements, gotta go back for the other 2 and see what I missed. Great job, Bioware. Easily the best DLC for ME2 so far. I didn't romance Liara in ME1(went with Ash), and I was kind of hoping for the chance to start one with her here. No big deal, seeing as how I've got a femshep who romanced Liara and I'm pretty sure my definitive ME2 Shep is going to romance Tali.
