W/ LofSB done, there's talk of an Ash/Kaiden DLC. Have to say that if they had a problem w/ Shep being w/ Cerberus they are going to sh*t a brick when they find out that s/he is shacking up w/ the new Shadow Broker.

Nah, gyro. Pure envy. Nothing else about it.

He probably wanted buns of steel like Jacob's; sitting in that chair all the time must've been rough

Nah. The true identity of the Broker remains unknown (as far as I know). That thing just took over what was already there a few decades ago. And as far as Liara is concerned... take away, personal = important, mutual possession-relationships are in high abundance in real life. (Which some people may find disturbing.) In ME you will have to settle for the life of a person who understands that personal is not the same as important, and that Liara does not exist to be his/her girlfriend, but rather that this is only her secondary role, and vice versa.
Aww... Life is complicated also in videogames.
In fact I had to break the relationship with her.
It was a very sad choice but the most realistic one i think. Besides the fact I play with a female character and I think a 30 year old heterosexual woman can't be attracted by an asari.
When I first started the relationship with her, in 2007, I was too much curious about the lesbo thing but now I have evolved the character to the max and see things in a different way.
I'am very disappointed for not having the happy ending but this was my choice and the price to pay for trying to role play a real FemShep.
I hope Kaidan will be still free in ME3. No threesome this time.

I guess he doesn't get much exercise, hiding away in there. Still, I like the idea of that thing just showing up one day outside the Normandy docking bay on Illium or the Citadel with a bouquet of flowers and a bottle of wine. Starts reciting love poetry. But alas such a perfect love was not meant to be.

@Dallas118: don't get so RealLife about this, huh? It is a game, no need to spoil it with something petty like reality.
Don't worry, I'm interested in story, character developing, etc... more than how much damage incendiary ammo does on armors or things like that. It's only a way to play.
... Now back on Gears of War!

I think he wears a Cerberus uniform. Kinda odd, to wear a terrorist organization's symbol on your sleeve on the Citadel. I don't think much more is known yet. The Shadow Broker will figure it out. I have faith in her. Anyway, check out The Flying Journalist. I'd say a certain cow got Kroginated.blackashes411 wrote...
Sorry if this has been addressed already in this huge thread: On one of the Shadow Broker's video files is one of Capt. Anderson talking to some guy on the Citadel. Who is he?

My Shepard actually refrained from punching her. She just gave her the verbal smackdown.

if you think about it, in the love interest case Shepard and Liara are now the ultimate power couple. The two most powerful people in the galaxy...and Liara is just waiting for Shepard to stop almost getting killed so she can have those blue kids she was promised.
Also, I did like the implication that the previous broker (not the yahg) was not nearly as malevolent as the one you defeat is made out to be. He seems almost fatherly towards the yahg, not to mention taking his task as info gatherer as "holy." That's about how I'd figure Liara to approach it as well.

I never punch her either. But today I first saw her *nudged gently aside* by a krogan and later kicked by a volus. Made me smirk.Meshakhad2 wrote...

Anderson is collecting info about Shep and is in contact with Cerberus for this. Pretty simple. He is not the good guy he want to appear and is not showing great personality in this sequel. Is something like... "He doesn't know what to do" instead of trusting is friend Shepard.blackashes411 wrote...

First off, I did enjoy the new "Lair of the Shadow Broker" DLC.
Second, I have not done any reading on this thread so I apologise in advance if I repeat something already commented on. I will say this does keep my beliefs honest, and gives me something to do when I finish this.
Some thoughts and observations about it from 4 play throughes so far.(Soldier, Sentinel, Adept, and an Infiltrator):
1.) Tela Vasir was interesting as a character to the player. The player enjoyed meeting another Spectre. She was a Vanguard I believe, but she had a couple of biotic abilities that did not fit. Spieces abilities maybe. I've seen Samara do the trick to arrest her fall as well as Vasir now. Unique to Tela Vasir I think is the trick that she used to repeatedly boost herself to the upper floor landing of the building we were fighting next to. I have yet to defeat her in less than ten minutes even using combined attacks (veteran difficulty) in the final fight with her. I had the idea she might have been beefed up a little bit there.
2.) Tela Vasir was also a disappointment to the Shepards I played. Tela Vasir is only the third Spectre Shepard has ever met, and none of them is still among the living. I am pretty sure Vasir's death will probably be back to bite Shepard in the bum in ME3. Whether it be from the Council or another Spectre, only time will tell the specifics. My adept, who was rolled up in ME2, could not even get the Council to talk to her much less reinstate her so she may find herself dealing with the authorities as well if she re-enters Citadel Space.
Another disappointment to Shepard was Vasir's inability to see the shades of grey in any position other than her own. It became obvious as the story continued that Vasir had already condemed Shepard for time spent working with Cerberus. Only as she lay at death's door did she even discuss the morality of working for Cerberus vs working for the Shadow Broker, and that was not really finished. The worst thing Shepard could do was judge Vasir on her "Shadow Broker" decisions. I found myself wishing for a paragon interrupt that never came that would allow an application of medigel to stablize Vasir. I really feel like that was a missed chance for Shepard to show he is not the bad guy here. I was feeling like Vasir really needed a chance to redefine what getting her hands dirty ment. After all, with upcoming events in ME3, the galaxy needs it's defenders.
3.) Fighting accross the hull of the Shadow Broker's ship was fun. A couple of things made this a unique shooter experience:
A.) Shoot the lightning capacitors in the base of the lightning rods to electocute near by Shadow Broker troops.
B.) Throw other Shadow Broker Troops off the ship. For a nightmare scene, watch them get carried off in the howeling wind until the lightning destroys them.
4.) I think it is safe to say I never would have guessed what Shadow Broker was. I'm certainly glad they did not forget Liara's studies prior to becoming an information broker.
I enjoyed the use of melee in the fight with Shadow Broker. Only ever had to do that with Husks or Thorian Creepers before, and that was mostly to get the achievement for it.
5.) In the after math, I was not surprised that Liara made a grab for the Shadow Broker's network. I've said before that was a distinct possibility. While I was sad to find out for sure that Liara would not be coming back as a ship mate and LI in ME3, I am delighted to see that some of my lack of recon issues and lack of intel issues that I had with Cerberus stand a chance of being answered. I made it a point to remain Liara's friend.
While it would be nice to use Liara's ship as a hidden base as well, it might be wiser for her to move it to make sure Cerberus cannot easily come in and take it from her.
The profiles are a hoot. Legion is a gamer, and Jack uses the Pen name Jaqueline Nought for her poetry. If any of the profiles are in error, it has to be the one for TIM. He smokes like a chimney, but yet reportedly still has the lung capacity to play skyball and gets laid way more than his share. When does he have time for work? Also concerned Anderson is reported to be drinking so much.
Almost forgot, be sure to see the videos in the back. I'm sure there will alot of speculation over some of those.

I think it's pretty obvious that Liara WILL be returning as an LI in ME3.

In my opinion, the video shows that just like Cerberus and the Shadow Broker have agents in all sorts of organizations, Anderson also has someone spying on Cerberus from the inside. That was a not so secret meeting between him and his informant.
