Wasn't sure if this is the same for all players, but when reading the Dossier of Admiral Hackett on the Shadow Broker's ship, did it mention that a new special-operative would be replacing his aide in two months? Given that the Illusive Man made a hint that Shepard was alive, is it possible that Hackett could be brokering a deal with him for Shepard's Services, does this mean there could be DLC involving Hackett or even Hackett will be a major character in ME3?

I am fervently hoping to see more of Hackett, and even the fact he has a dossier somewhat indicates that we can expect him to be back in ME3 in one or another form. Lance Henriksen VO ftw dammit!

Re: the pause after fight... there is a Paragon interrupt at that point if you previously romanced Liara in ME1. It is very short, I've missed it even when I knew it was coming (2nd playthrough)

Really?  I didnt even notice...

I hate that they make them so quick, it just makes me have to load the damn game.  I just wana sit back and watch the cut scene after all the fighting, it cathces me off guard sometimes.   I really didnt notice one right after the fight, but I did catch the other one a bit later.  I'll have to go back and check.

There is only one interrupt after the fight, so if you're talking about about a different pause before the interrupt you noticed, that's just a pause.

EDIT: I reread your description of the pause, that moment is just a bit of dramatic storytelling. You can read a few things into it, I quite liked it.

On my 2nd go at the bossfight on my 2nd playthrough I managed to click the post-fight interrupt, there's a screenshot of it upthread somewhere, a kiss with sparks and the ruined ceiling in the background.

Taking the interrupt alters how the subsequent conversation plays out - if you kiss her then Liara takes that to mean she is "taken".

Cant say I was to fond of the Yahg as a new race just to fit the role of a huge scary boss battle...not to mention they kinda emasculate the Krogan now. :(

All in all it was good to see Liara get the attention her character needed, belated or not its better then " here hack some terminals...Im kinda busy at the moment " heh, I like that Shep said something about that in the dialouge too.

Does anyone know if this DLC will be integrated into ME3, or will it just be ignored being that its DLC and all?

According to IGN in their review, This is the first DLC that will have an impact on any saves imported to ME3. But I don't recall if any Bioware Dev has confirmed that and if future bridging DLC will also have an impact on save imported to ME3.

In short: This DLC delivered what I hoped for, and more. Finally, a proper continuation of the romance with my favorite character. And finally, my Shepard shows some emotions and acts like a human. Easily worth double the price, if necessary.

And this time we must meet him and he must look like Lance Henriksen.  MUST!  No further discussion.  MUST!

Yes, well... I don't pay for pew-pew and "appearance packs", but if they offer high quality content such as this, there's nothing wrong with demanding proper compensation for it. Especially voice acting costs. But I'd rather pay more for sufficient voice acting to make it a good experience, than to pay less and have some meaningless content.

Some nitpicking and thoughts about the story.
Despite the fact that it's too much linear - to the point that Shepard's/player's choices have no influence in story development, unlike the somehow criticized Overlord DLC -, the writing/dialogue in LotSB was amazing. It was cool how the yahg were introduce in the universe, and it makes sense they're isolated, athough I think they were a little cheap in that race. I mean, a mix of krogan and salarian? How the hell reapers chose humans before them? But I think there's a possibility of them as an enemy in ME3. I don't think they created this race just for LotSB with such potential to be a big threat.

What I want to know, is that Blasto the first Hanar Spectre in the video archive (interview with Emily Wong and later talking to someone on the citadel)?

Bigger picture, my friend... they might be a problem in ME 3, but I'm thinking they'll be a future plot (ie, after this story when they get space flight.

About romancing Liara: I had a romance with Ashley/Kaiden in ME1, so is their a way to switch over to Liara, even though I haven't romanced with her in ME1? And if that's possible, should I do that before or after the suicide mission? Because if you don't hit on anybody in ME2 before the suicide mission, the game assumes you're staying faithful to your previous ME1 love interest.

Some Dossier wierdness:

I just noticed that if you have Morinth instead of Samara, there is no Samara entry in the Dossiers.

Both of my playthroughs have been female, but only one had the wrong gender on the Admiral Hackett email.

This was an AWESOME bit of DLC. Great job, Bioware!

Also, Liara's new drone pal is horrifically adorable. I want him for myself. Feron doesn't like him, so give him to ME

If you don't want to do another ME1 run, you can change character histories with the save editor and make it so you got lovey dovey with the blue one.

I reimported a ME1 character from scratch and ended up playing LotSB the moment I hit Illium.  Here are some things I noticed.

1.) I seem to be unable to complete her original pre-LotSB mission of hacking... I liked seeing her go after her secretary.  But cest la vie.

2.) completing the LotSB prevents all other romances from moving past the "I like you" scene.  I went that way with both Tali and Miranda, and Liara's picture was still up... why?  I was happy with having continued the ME1 romance and I wanted to see how the game reacted... it didn't.  When the final mission came?  I got the cheerleader doing her cheerleading routine.  So both romances appear to be 'silenced' and a ME1 Liara LI save that 'continue's' with Liara?  is forced to be faithful for the rest of the game.  Which I think is great and all, just found it interesting.

3.) When you return to Liara's Lair, the thing that is supposed to be her appears to be a V.I. and an exceedingly simple one.  Even after I "return" after killing another Reaper, she stares straight ahead and says 'thank you for stopping by'.  Which to me? says Liara is somewhere else other than there... and why no dialog after I finish the main storyline?  I was hoping for some sort of neat scene but was only left with the damn VI hologram... and there was no option to ask Feron where Liara was... :pinched:

on a side note, I still think Ashley is a liar... I have yet to play through with Kaidan left alive. but Ashley starts off saying she would have followed Shepard through hell itself... is she just stupid and doesn't know where the name Cerberus comes from?  However, I never really liked her anyhow... I am beginning to think I should have saved Kaidan instead... at least his character seemed to have more loyalty to Shepard than "Alliance Brass"

Yeah, both Kaidan and Ashley have essentially the same dialogue on Horizon (unless you romanced them).

Hey Jax:
1) Very interesting! Was the secretary still there?  If so, she is still working for Liara w/o knowing it!

2) Wow, that is strange! At the end of LotSB I rekindled my relationship w Liara from ME1, but it didnt seem to interfere with my ME2 relationship with Tali at all.  Maybe Tali didnt know about Liara? Or Liara still likes the idea of threesomes?

3) You do realize that the "VI" was supposed to be Liara, right? Bioware just didnt program her to do anything else...

With the asari when she takes a hostage? Or am i mistaken? If so, is this a glitch?

No, I'm sure I've heard Shep say, "I used to be a SPECTRE too, remember?" Something to that effect anyway.

False memory is a possibility I guess. But they sure thought about a lot of things, I would except this would be one of those things (whether you were offered and accepted reinstatement). ;)

That is unfortunate. Would have been cool to get a second special scene about that. What I am thinking of doing though is maybe doing LotSB before the SM but waiting to talk to Liara until after the SM to get the best of both worlds. I would be able to use the resources from the shadow broker, but I get to talk to her after the mission. Would work as a nice epilogue for the game, for now anyways.

I do hope that any future bridging DLC to ME3 includes Liara again, even if in a small capacity. Both because I like the character a lot and also to rectify that mistake you mentioned. Just seems silly to not take into account that scenario at all <_<

Also, Tela Visar says something like, "I heard you weren't reinstated, a shame, etc., etc."

Just thought of something...with everything that the Shadow Broker Intel Center is set-up to do (alot of that duplicating (or expanding upon) what you could do on the Normandy), will we lose the Normandy again? Whether as a result of a split from Cerebus or some other plot device - they seem to be setting up the Intel Center as the main base of operations for ME 3. Or will we simply see a much reduced role of the Normandy (just for transportation for example)?

I can tell you that the conversation with Liara post SB mission does change slightly depending upon whether you are post SM or not...without giving away too much, the question about how you are doing (and Liara's response) shifts focus from collectors to reapers depending upon pre/post SM.
