I have to say, this is one of the best DLC's I have ever played. I have played through it 4 times, and have heard all the conversations, I think. Answers to questions, and surprising answers. Mind blowing. I really love it. Thanks Bioware. Image IPBImage IPB

Could any1 give/link me a summarize to all "secrets" found at the SB crib? Would be really intresting to see what people made out of the video clips.

Uh, no: she's just reflexively using a common English idiom and not simultaneously considering possible connections between Christian and Greek concepts of the punitive realms of the afterlife in relation to said idiom and the current circumstances of Shep's "employment" while talking to a person she just found out wasn't really dead after two years of believing they were in the aftermath of a Collector attack in which she was almost abducted after being paralyzed but left fully conscious and aware by their creepy little pseudo-bugs.

Shorter, non-run-on version:  she didn't have the luxury of sitting on a couch and nitpicking people for not noticing trivial minutiae while under fairly extreme stress.

No, I'm sure I've heard Shep say, "I used to be a SPECTRE too, remember?" Something to that effect anyway.

You did hear something like that.  There are variant lines if you weren't reinstated, and "But you're forgetting something Vasir: I was a Spectre too" is one of them..

Awesome DLC. Played it soon as I hit Illium doing Liara's little data hacking missions first acting like I had no info on SB yet. Can't say there was anything about the DLC I disliked. Seeing Shep at end putting his rebuilt body to the test vs that Yagh was satisfying. Seriously who messes with Shepard willingly up close and personal. I still don't trust Feron he just rubs me the wrong way for some reason.

Now to do a playthru and play LotSB post SM.

Well, I have not waded through all 68 pages, of this thread, though I read quite a few.
Just my way of prefacing, in case it has already been noted, but Liara is probably now scoring at least mid-level on the renegade meter.

Not that I mind, my FemShep is Renegon, and I like that Liara now has a bit of an 'edge', and is not the innocent we first met, two years back.

I welcome the changes, in Liara, and see her as a more 'equal' partner for Shepard; which I believe was one of the goals the writers had. In ME1 it kinda felt like Shepard was 'robbing the craddle', even though that babe is a good 60+ years older than Shepard at 109. ;)

Interesting that someone was defending Ashley's silly choice of words;  and, I agree that there is a river in Egypt.

Graz73 wrote... Hey Jax:
1) Very interesting! Was the secretary still there?  If so, she is still working for Liara w/o knowing it!

2) Wow, that is strange! At the end of LotSB I rekindled my relationship w Liara from ME1, but it didnt seem to interfere with my ME2 relationship with Tali at all.  Maybe Tali didnt know about Liara? Or Liara still likes the idea of threesomes?

3) You do realize that the "VI" was supposed to be Liara, right? Bioware just didnt program her to do anything else...

1.) No, LotSB was the first thing I did and so I went back to Illium for the other missions anyhow, so did a detour to see if she was and no.  So apparently Liara flayed the secretary's mind while I was away.  I did get an email from Bekham saying thanks for helping Shiala before I actually did it too and that was a hoot.

2.) Judging from ME1's "scene" with Ashley/Kaidan, Liara seems to want whatever Shepard wants.  So maybe that is just a hint that Tali is the one who "may" have a problem with your setup.  :)

3.) I realize that you may be correct but given how much work they went into Liara for everything else?  It seems rather silly that they couldn't make her at least turn around to look at you.  So I think it is a VI unless ME3 or some DLC says "no".

Anyone else notice the vid in the LotSB of our favorite Asari Matriarchal Bartender obsessing over a ME1ish looking picture of Liara?  I thought it was kinda silly/creepy the previous SB had a camera there to begin with let alone that he was recording her.  Still, it seems to hint at who Liara's father is.  Much to my chagrin <_<  Aria had been my favorite.

I finally figured out how to reinsert my saved files from previous computer and so I look forward to seeing "post-SM" LotSB in a couple minutes.

Ok... so yes Liara is an Information Broker and she DOES know about your relationship onboard the Normandy... whatever that may be. That was a real h00t... half way tempted to play through the Lair and see if it ends up changing anything... hmmm...

Query: Has anyone taken a screenshot of Shepard and Liara kissing (as a result of the paragon interrupt) after the Shadowbroker is defeated? While the machinery is exploding? That would make a great wallpaper methinks...

Edit: Nevermind, found it on deviantart.

So what about for people who don't get LotSB? Hopefully there's some kind of in game explanation of why Liara is suddenly on a random ship in the middle of nowhere calling herself the shadow broker. Bioware really has A LOT of content to create for ME3. Just think about all the different stories each of us has created in our own ME universe!

Would someone be so kind as to point me in the direction of instructions on editing 360 saves on a PC? I'd like to flag my non-import ME2 Shepard as having romanced Liara if possible, I'd like to see the 'cheating' dialog etc.

I've already done a faithful runthrough with my main Shepard, and I don't find the 'just friends' dialog as interesting.

Not sure this is the place for that question but you can change your ME1 background quite easily, for full instructions Google is your friend or try http://social.biowar...3/index/2277020
The basic requirements are modio (or le fluffle) to extract the save and gibbed's mass effect 2 save editor - I think build 24 has the 360 version. ALWAYS keep a backup of the un-modded save.

Thanks for the link. Looks like background altering doesn't work until you start a NG+
I was curious, but not curious enough to start another playthrough for the sake of a couple of dialogue lines.
I will however, play through Lair of the Shadowbroker a few more times - I was heartily impressed with this DLC effort.

Yeah, sorry I think that may be the case, but if you ever decide to do a new run with a different class, you can start the new character and create a save (immediately you wake up) then edit the save to have your preferred history and that you've finished ME2 (this is a straight forward drop down list) this allows you to create a NG+ character from this one and there you go, new character with the new history you wanted.  Additional bonus is this segregates any modded characters from your other ones.  You have to watch the normandy get blown up twice, but it's that or driving the Mako!

PS. Once you create the NG+ you can delete the character you based it on to tidy up your saves or keep it to use as a basis for any other changes you feel like trying (you can change the class so that's not a restriction).

Ok
-- one thing is bugging me, apparently there are more videos to be
viewed, more investments to be made and more minerals to claim from my
investing in a planet. But the thing is I can't do it because for some
reason you need to go on a mission first. Well, I've got no more
missions to do :(

Never fear: You can view more videos right away by exiting then re-entering the stronghold, and the time-sensitive terminals are triggered by completing missions OR by waiting 24-hours.

EDIT: By 24-hours I apparently mean next calendar day. Christina's the one to listen to on this. :)

I've exited and re-entered the stronghold twice now *and* waited 24 hours... still no new videos. Is anyone else having this problem?
