I think that the only way you get the 'cheating' dialog on Illium is if you hit both the paragon interrupts.  I read a post where one or two seemed to have trouble seeing the bright blue mouse symbol in the lower right hand corner.  However, I played through and it still changed nothing... of course I had "ended" the relationship with Miranda.

One thing of note... I seemed to not get an message from Kellygirl and I think finishing LotSB had something to do with that but maybe not.  *shrugs*

on a side note, I still think Ashley is a liar... I have yet to play through with Kaidan left alive. but Ashley starts off saying she would have followed Shepard through hell itself... is she just stupid and doesn't know where the name Cerberus comes from?

Uh, no: she's just reflexively using a common English idiom and not simultaneously considering possible connections between Christian and Greek concepts of the punitive realms of the afterlife in relation to said idiom and the current circumstances of Shep's "employment" while talking to a person she just found out wasn't really dead after two years of believing they were in the aftermath of a Collector attack in which she was almost abducted after being paralyzed but left fully conscious and aware by their creepy little pseudo-bugs.

Shorter, non-run-on version:  she didn't have the luxury of sitting on a couch and nitpicking people for not noticing trivial minutiae while under fairly extreme stress.

she was still prepared for the meeting, she knew about the rumor no?

the river in Egypt.

is that supposed to be a troll? :P

I meant that ashley.kaidan was in denial.

denial of what? shepard being alive? shepard working for cerberus? She seemed to be pretty convinced of the two facts from my perspective :S

I believe one way is that Ashely is in denial that her precious Alliance military could be 'wrong'. *gasp*   That Cerberus could have actually had good and acceptable reasons for being willing to make the mistakes they made.  I seem to remember the Council was rather tight lipped in informing Humans with details about the Rachni;  Thorian and its creepers was new to the council and Exogeni, thus Cerberus went to find its own answers.

Furthermore Anderson was setting Cerberus up for failure by sending an investigator that had a known history with Cerberus.  Unless 'they' wanted Horizon to be hit by the Collectors too... and I say Collectors not Cerberus as Anderson claims because of Ashley having been a friend to Shepard means his "cell" of Cerberus likely would have avoided Horizon if they had been the 'abductors'.

What I want to know is why Bioware didn't include a simple check at some point in the game, that if you buy the shepard vi from mouse that you can "implant it" in the SB Intel Center VI...

I don't understand why anybody would want to do this.  Replacing a specially constructed VI (which, by the way, isn't yours) with a glitched VI of yourself, relying someone ( vorlus?) to regularly patch it.  Yes that seems the perfect way to utilise your resources, screw the galaxy, my girlfriend can talk to a rubbish imitation of me while I'm away though.

Sometimes it seems to take a while for new videos to pop up... I checked for a few days before giving up, then a few days later I came back and lo, new videos. None of the old videos were still there, that was too bad.

Anyone else notice Shepard was full of personality in this DLC? He applied a lot of sarcasm. And lol when he asked Liara about Azure on the Asari body - "where?!".

Can I just say...

The SB base was absolutely EVERYTHING I hoped. I feel you deserve major kudos for this, as that's damn hard to pull off, considering the SB is perceived as a legendary, omniscient figure and the base needed to live up to that.

It was every bit the information and espionage powerhouse that I thought it would be.

Dossiers on all major characters?
Secret video feeds - that update?
Resource investments?
Terminals allowing tactful manipulation of galactic events and politics?
A giant multi-screen computer interface with links to operatives all around the galaxy?

Wow. Just wow. What a treasure trove. I was glued to my screen for hours after I got that base.

Question: Since you don't have to do the Observer quest before you complete Lair of the Shadow Broker, what happens to Nyxeris after her boss is dead, if she's still alive?

The quest completes itself. Same result.

For all the schtick Meer gets for his ME2 performance, I have to say he really came up trumps in this DLC.  His lines in the car chase where flawless.  Likewise his banter while hacking entry to the base.

Man-shep's back on top, baby.

I just finished the Shadow Broker DLC! It took me about 3 hours, 1 of which was spent carefully reading the Shadow Broker's dossier information on all those familiar faces.

I loved the way it ended with a whimper instead of a bang; I'm referring of course to the conversation Shepherd has in his cabin with Liana. My character remained in a monogamous relationship with Tali, and opted for the "good friends" resolution with Liana, and the way that awkward arrangement was handled (my character had made overtures to Liana in ME1, but didn't go all the way, as Tali occupied his attention even then) by the writers was very tactful and touching. No cliched scorned and jealous woman seeking revenge formula, no fatal attraction immaturity, just a heartfelt blessing from a character who was once a romantic interest but had fallen into a more hands-off platonic state. I trust that the myriad other combinations of choices that other players have made was given the same thoughtful treatment; as for me, I think I've played this series of games correctly on my first try, so I won't be exploring those various outcomes firsthand.

I look forward with enthusiasm to the next sequel!

Yes it is sad that bioware has listened to the retards on this forum. Shepard is a military guy and ppl here want him to sound like an emo and start crying whenever something goes wrong.

I hope that bioware doesnt go further with this emotional crap- i would hate to see cutwounds on his arms afterall.

Great DLC, worth the 800 MS points!!....  Action, intrigue and suspense was just awesome.  Combat on the SB's ship was out of this world! (Ha,ha)  The romance with Liara was a fizzle..  The man died, and she mourned him for 2 years?  And all we get is "The Black Eyes of Eternity", when they finally get back together...   Come on..  Bioware.. turn up the heat a little more....   That ending was just sad.   I was really anticipating what was going to happen after the Collector Base was destroyed, and Shep returned to the SB's ship to see Liara..... Disappointment there also..  There isn't any extended dialog between Shep and Liara...  The man just did the impossible... AGAIN, and all he gets is  "It's good to see you again"...Please, come onnnnn!!     Other than the relationship fizzle...  DLC was great!!  They have got to be setting us up for something...  I can't see them just letting it go like this.....

Oh.. I don't know. I thought it was handled OK. Yes, the dialog at the end was lacking, but I think they locked in their relationship quite well.

I don't need to have my two characters jump into bed in order to establish the firm commitment they have to each other. They talked marriage, kids, and the future. I'm good with that.

Great DLC, was good to see Liara again, however, I can't shake the feeling that this should have been included in the game from the start, especially since it will be important for ME3 and the lead in was already there on Illum. It would also have made some more dialogue with squad members possible. I purposedly took Tali and Garrus with me, alas they stay mute once more (Okay, Tali said "Keelah" once when the building went boom, I'll give them that), I expected this, but it was still disspointing tbh.

And of course more non-recruitment related quests would have been nice (as would more content in general, first Mass Effect playthrough nearly 60hours, first Mass Effect 2 playthrough around 40hours, let's hope this isn't a trend ;) )

It was incredible, and I'm hoping Bioware will make ME3 up to this level of quality. Or better. Loved how much dialogue and banter there was.

It amazes me that Bioware has done nothing but improve the quality of the DLC with each and every release...all the do is get better and better...and yet people still find things to complain about. I agree my squad interaction would have been nice...more Liara/Shepard in general would be great...but come on people - this was an absolutely beautiful DLC and was fulfilling in so many ways - I just can't justify complaining about anything.

I agree. Kasumi was good. Overlord was good. But LotSB is BRILLIANT.

But there is complaining and then there is "giving one's opinion". The latter may seem like complaining even when it's not. For example, I could say that it would have been nice to have a choice in the end for how to deal with the Broker, but it always ends the same way (the Broker dies and Liara takes over). But I'm fine with that, I just hope ME3 still gives you choices (big and small) throughout.

Cyberfrog,

I see your point...I just wish that I saw more posts raving at how brillant this DLC was (despite what may be flaws in some of the mechanics, etc.).

Ladies/Gents

Not by any means complaining....  Mass Effect has been the most fun I've had with any RPG...   It's the only game I've played since last Dec.  Yeah, I know pathetic...  I just know what I like....   Every DLC since April has lived up to the hype...   This DLC,  action wise...., totally spectacular!  I guess since my Shep was Liara’s romance partner, I was hoping it would have been more than the fizzle.    With all she went through to hopefully bring him back….   I was expecting fireworks, that’s all…

Does anyone know of a way to restart or requeue the Shadow Broker DLC after having finished it and without a save before the missison? Something I can do in the coalesced?
