Quick question

I played through the DLC and the option to romance Liara never showed up. I don't have ME1 save data so is that romance option lost to me? I even broke up with Jacob before hand as to not cause any complications but I still didn't see it.

Unforunately, if you didn't romance Liara in ME1, you can't in this DLC.  It's been confirmed a couple of times in a couple of threads.

Sadly like Jamie says, default ME 2 Shepard is 'bonded" to Male - Ashley, femShep - Kaidan and Liara is just a good friend (perhaps with schools crush complex when comes to Shepard ^_^)... in other words ME 2 (core game and DLC) don't give any chance to start romance witl Liara for default Sheps...

I'm a bit confused, I heard this dlc was 3 hours, but took less then an hour to beat the SB.  Does this hours mean watching the vids and etc?  I know you have to keep coming back each 'day'. but is *that* it?

You can mod a save to give you a ME1 history (yes on the 360), it's pretty straightforward, details at  http://social.biowar...3/index/2277020.
I would point out that to get the history to have an effect you need to use NG+ so in you want to doit on a new character,  start the character and create a save (immediately you wake up) then edit the save to have your preferred history and that you've finished ME2 with the character (this is a straight forward drop down list) this allows you to create a NG+ character from this one and there you go, new character with the new history you wanted.  This method segregates any modded characters from your other ones.  You have to watch the normandy get blown up twice, but it's that or play through ME1 again, if you still have it.

Once you create the NG+ you can delete the character you based it on to tidy up your saves or keep it to use as a basis for any other changes you feel like trying (you can change the class so that's not a restriction).

Depends on where you got the "3 hours" estimate.  BW ALWAYS overestimates the gameply time, sometimes by more than an hour.  There are dossiers you can read, some w/ tons of info, other w/ barely any and then the vids, etc..  Last time I played, 4th time, I've played it in a little over an hour, but just did the bare bones.

Thanks. Was wondering why everyone was going ape **** over this dlc.  It's okay but not what I expected.

One little thing that would have been awesome: if we had gotten Liara's dossier. There could have been some cool stuff in that. The dossiers were great.

Great DLC, but as with all DLC's so far, there is little to no friendly-NPC dialogue besides Shepard and subject of DLC, in this case, Liara. There was ONE comment that your non-Liara squadmate makes when you reach the skyscraper, but even then it was just a prerecorded snippet from the main sound assets of ME2.

Presentation of the DLC was nice. I REALLY dug the music and how it meshed well with the dark elements that are usually associated from the Shadow Broker and Liara's ever-determined nature to uncover people's secrets. Gameplay was spot on and varied. This DLC should definitely go hand-in-hand with the Firepower Pack-- X-96 single shot assault rifle is by far the the best, followed by Geth Shotgun.

Who else thought that the Baria Frontiers building battle scene reminded them of Batman fighting in the skyscraper near the end of The Dark Knight?

This has probably been commented on, but I hope Liara plans to move the Shadow Broker ship to a new location quickly. With all the tracking and listening devices TIM has on the Normandy you know he wouldn't hesitate to send every commando he can get to grab that ship as soon as Shepard drives away.

Which is a shame because the ship is practically made for that specific planet. Still looks cool as hell though.

Don't know if she can really.

lol! I was thinking since Shep took out Donovan Hock... have her buy up his place and move there. Really big... out of the way... and large enough for the family when it starts to happen!Image IPBImage IPBImage IPB

Having finally finished LotSB (what a charming acronym) I can honestly say I liked it a lot. However, I do think Overlord was even better, story-wise. I was hoping to see more chances for role-playing in LotSB, but unfortunately the whole business of getting rid of the Shadow Broker was extremely straight-forward. No finesse whatsoever, not much tactics, just endless shooting against hordes of agents. I guess the new Liara is more of a Rambo than a James Bond.

I suppose if Liara hadn't been my Shepard's love interest, I would have gotten much less out of LotSB. The romance part, however, was really well done. Tactful, nothing over the top and awkward. Probably one of the most well-written and acted romance scenes in any CRPG (not that the standards are very high to begin with - for some reason, most romantic stuff in video games is ridiculously bad).

In short, I mostly like the way BioWare's DLC's are developing. The stuff we've lately got for ME2 has been quite good, DA not so much. But please don't diminish the RPG aspects of ME in the future - there's more than enough action in the game already.

Just a quick question:

I accidently selected the "no" option when Liara asked to come back to Normandy (I assumed, wrongly it seems, that I would be rail-roaded into a romantic situation). Is there any way of "re-inviting" her back to the Normandy afterwards? If not, anyone know if you can re-start DLC, lol?

Try reloading a previous save (e.g. restarting the Shadow Broker Base mission).

I never pick the No option but I imagine you can't invite her once you've outright told her not to.

I did, too. I think it was mainly because of the soundtrack.
I really loved the level design in this dlc. Overlord was cool, too, but somehow it was like playing Unreal Tournament again: We got grass, then volcano, then dark ship, then labs. And the Virtual-Reality-part was too short.

In LotSB, every level had cool and fitting design, mainly the SB-Ship of course. But what I didn't like there, was how it looked inside. When you're still outside the ship, there is this short inside passage with those lightning things, moving up and down. It reminded me of some kind of fish-insides. And I thought that was really cool since the Shadow Broker himself looked like some huge thing from an underwater world.
But the Shadow Broker Intel Center itself looks crappy, I am glad I can open the windows and look outside (or at Liara). The rest seems like the designers said: Oh well, I'm really tired and all the other levels look cool, so I'll just throw in some brown-rusty-look for that final part.

But don't get me wrong, I love this DLC and have just started my only ME1-Liara-LI-Shepard...

Don't think she can but she can relocate all the intel and stuff elsewhere which can be a bit time consuming.  Anyways, I doubt TiM will bother taking out Liara right now when there are the reapers to deal with.

I dont think TiM will go after Liara as it'll be the fastest way of pissing my paragon Shepard off.
