Hey guys, because of my busy schedule I could only play the (not so) new (anymore) LotSB DLC this weekend and play it only once.

It was awesome to see how the romance between my Shepard (why stayed loyal to Liara) and Liara continued.

But I have one question: How does the Shepard and Liara romance play out in ME2 when you cheated on Liara with a ME2 LI? Can somebody tell me that please? :D

Why is the SB in this deal at all? So, the Collectors can go blow up the Normandy, but they can't bother to pick up the body? They have to hire out? This question wasn't answered in the comic and it wasn't answered in the DLC. Did I miss something somewhere? Thanks.

Goodwood tends to be of the opinion that the Collectors' interest in Shepard's corpse came after they'd already turned the Normandy into free-floating hydrogen.

I can see that.  Thanks!

Though, I have my own theory now.

Harbinger: I told you to PICK UP the body, not BLOW UP the body.
Collector Leader: Cllllttttzzz.
Harbinger: *sigh* ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL FROM NOW ON.

I am just...wow. Normally, I'm so squarely in the DA camp I rarely venture over here, but LotSB? Holy cow, it was amazing. Just...just...

I mean, once I finished Witch Hunt, the first thing I did was b*tch. I mean, Jesus Christ, in comparison? It's just terrible. Just terrible. I mean, it was amazing for Liara to actually ask me about myself. Who asks about Shepard? Ever? Except Jacob when he wants to bang you, bless his stable soul? And then all of these little in-references (FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY someone mentions Cerberus and Sole Survivor Shepard! FINALLY!). The battles were far more interesting and new (Vanguard Charge!).

I'm sorry, the Strider thing jumped around. Wow. Dragons do that.

And then the Shadow Broker's base? That was amazing! All of the videos, all of the new stuff, the Dossiers. Seriously, I've always had trouble caring about my crewmates because we never find anything out about them. Reading those Dossiers made me like them, like, ten times more. Reading Legion's gaming skills, or Miranda's e-dating attempts, Grunt's schizo research on sharks and Hemingway and, oh my god, Thane's letter. I've never felt upset over an ME romance. Ever. Sometimes I smiled and mentally said "awwww", but it was rare. In DAO, I felt plenty. I ran the gamut of emotions over the course of their romances, but Jesus Christ they need to cure Thane after reading that letter.

Also, I actually like Liara now. She asks about you. She asks about you! She doesn't completely ignore and brush you off anymore! ...She still seems creepily in-love with you, but you win some, you lose some. I honestly feel like she's the only friend Shepard has. Tali and Garrus sort of feel that way, but, as I said, they're so disconnected from Shepard. It's like you're their mentor, not their friend.

Edit: Because the censor function is non-discriminating.

She mentions it but you can apologize you have your persuasion high enough. (For paragon at least not sure about Renegade) I just broke it off with miranda after and then had buttsecks with Liara

So no consequences if you "cheated" on Liara in ME2? Awwwwwwwww. I should have expected it though. In the end it really doesn't matter.

By the way, one more question: how big are the differences regarding if you play this DLC pre- or post-suicide mission?

Dialogue-wise, when Liara is in Shepard's cabin after you've defeated the Shadow Broker, she'll lament about losing Shepard as s/he will be going after the Reapers when they turn up, if you've completed the Suicide Mission. If you have not, then she says Shepard will go through the Omega 4 Relay.

There could be more, but this is the only one I remember.

Daily Shipments ? Ammount of resources you get this way is laughable. With 60 Probes I don't feel need for gifts other than tech :P

I've been kind of curious about this... What does Liara say to you if you romanced Kaiden or Ashley in ME 1 and didn't cheat? Or if you haven't romanced anyone at all?

I'm sorry if this question has already been answered, but 75 pages is a lot to read through.

Change language on ME site = you can buy it

Change registry line and one text file to change language to English = Liara works ;]

I have had a "daily shipment" of 160,000 Platinum.  That's not "laughable".

So, after I got notice from a friend that LotSB has appeared and continues the Liara/Shadow Broker story (and the romance with Shephard if there has been one) I obtained and played that mission. I join those people that are satisfied with this DLC.

As for the romance options I played the LotSB mission during a playthrough at a point when the suicide mission hadn't been completed. Miranda and Shephard were set up to get involved with each other. Liara's picture in Shephards cabin was taken down already. So I thought that Shephard was in the "cheating" state and expected any attempt to reengage with Liara to fail.

Liara's reaction on that was to show jealousy after the initial hunting of that SPECTRE girl I forgot the name of. There is a chance to get into talking with Liara by some paragon mouse actions. I missed the first but took my chance on the second.  Liara explicitly mentioned  "Miranda Lawson" and some part of her body that Shephard should stop to admire....

After defeating the SB Shephard got the chance to invite Liara into his cabin. From all I saw there I would say that Liara and Shephard got into romance again. However, Miranda still seems to be in romance with Shephard and the picture of Liara is still down.

Now I am curious whether there are other outcomes possible: May it be that Liara refuses to reengage (e.g. after the suicide mission to a cheating Shephard)? May it be that there is even more stronger reengagement if Liaras picture on Shephard's desk is still up?

And I failed to find an answer in this thread as I could not even imagine the keywords to search for. So I apologize in advance for restarting a discussion that probably has taken place already. Pointers welcome.

Was anyone disappointed with who the SB was? I was expecting it to be a massive plot twist, like a character we already knew.

Actually the LotSB plot crippled my theory of the Illusive Man and the Shadow Broker being the same person or the Shadow Broker being one other agent of the Illusive Man. If the Shadow Broker was such an agent he was unaware of it. Unfortunately (as it was late at night when finishing the mission) I did not pay that much attention to the after-mission screen to read the comments of the Illusive Man on the issue.

As far as I played, Liara and the normal ME2 romances go in parallel, except for if you reject Liara because of another romance. For example, I played SB after Horizon, and then romanced Jack. (I stopped playing then because I could not bear being such an ****^^)

My only real beef with LotSB is the duration of the interrupts. They seemed WAY shorter than in the main game. I missed a couple on my first playthrough because I happened to take my hand off the mouse and glance away from the screen for a moment. The wrong moment, apparently.

Anyone notice that in one of the videos in the SB archive, there's a Keeper walking away from a dead body up on the gantrys in the Citadel? Kinda implies that the Keeper may have killed someone? Bit sinister, isn't it?
