I am having a problem with this also, I cannot play this game at all due to my heavy use of DLC. I was instructed by tech support to post here so the company could help keep track of how many players are having this issue.
"Karl: Currently there's some temporary problem running with the game that's why you are facing this problem. Many other players are also facing this problem. Our engineers are investigating on it and hopefully this problem would get resolved within 24 to 48 hrs. So the Authorization trick worked for all my DLC I was able to download. I lost my Tomes of the Frozen waste and my Blood Dragon Armor at the moment, and I can't find a spot to download 'The Stone Prisoner' but otherwise I do have access to my 'Witch Hunt' and 'Golems of Amsomethingoranother' as well as 'Wardens Keep'

 Same problem... I tried changing requiresauthorization from 1 to 0... it allowed me to load my game but my dragon armor set and warden armor set are gone.. and some of the place in the world map..

I think the reason the Blood Dragon Armor/Tome/Wicked Oath/Etc etc isn't being added is because it's part of the Digital Deluxe Edition (As is the Stone Prisoner) and since that is all done directly through the DLC menu/Server which is currently screwing up, we're just SoL on that material until they fix it.

All of the contents are unauthorized for me to access.. I checked in the installed section in the downloadable contents.. All my contents were installed but unauthorized for me.. Yesterday, it was still working very fine.. I almost finished the game, but awhile ago, the problem started.. after i took a nap, it wont let me load my saved game..

Upon trying to import my newly created Mage Character into either 'Witch Hunt' or 'Golems of Amgarrak' it'll go to the import screen and let select him only to get the error 'Unable to Create Area' after trying to load the module.

I'm having the same problem--my DLC wouldn't work at all on Friday either, but using this FAQ page worked: http://social.biowar...26lf%3D8#542935

I tried to play today and ran into the same problem, but now those fixes don't work at all. It's incredibly frustrating when you go out of your way to make sure all your DLC is downloaded legally, and then get punished for it because the company can't keep up on it. This is crap.

Yeah.. I wanted to finish the game and try importing it in DAII... How long do you think they will be able to fix this issue?

Looks like the support techs are saying 1-2 days, we can hope for sooner but I wouldn't hold my breath. I'd say midway this week.

I'm having the same problem as everyone else. For anyone just finding this thread, I suggest NOT using the online chat help as they will have you delete the folders containing the dlc and THEN tell you it's a known problem being worked on, so check back in a couple of days. Now I can't try changing "requiresauthorization" because it's not there!

You can re-DL most of the DLC via your Registered Content in your profile (though you will not be able to download the Digital Deluxe Content) and attempt the Authorization trick, however it seems that even the Authorization trick does not work for accessing the content (at least in my personal experience, I can't currently access any of my other campaigns besides my installed Awakening Campaign)

I'm experiencing a similar issue. I recently reinstalled WinXP on my computer, and installed the Steam version of DA:O. I have over 230 hours logged with all my DLC and have the achievements for all the DLC I currently own tied to my account assuring me that I do own the DLC.

However all 3 of my DLC tabs (DLC available, downloading and installed) are empty now. It has only happened after I attempted to install my retail version of Awakening, finding out that its not compatible with my Steam version of DA:O, and redeeming both codes in the EADM for digital downloads.

Now no matter the source of my installation for DA:O (Steam or EADM) my DLC simply doesn't appear and if I attempt to DL it on its own it is all marked as 'Unauthorized'.

I've gone through all the old DLC issue FAQs and again, support has only told me that it's an issue they're working on and directed me to this thread.

I'm going to attempt the 'Authorization = 0' trick but beyond that it seems like my DLC is entirely removed from my account as far as the game is concerned. Almost like the server isn't contacting/isn't correctly reading what I'm authorized to have.

The same thing happened to me. Everything was Unauthorized so I tried to uninstall and reinstall.  Now all 3 of my DLC tabs are empty.  Hopefully they get this fixed soon.

@Thompsonmp I got the same problem, except my game is for mac.
When I spoke with support, they said that there is no ETA at the moment. They also said that I should post on this thread, because their developers still are looking at the issue.

Okay, I followed the recommendations to go into AddIns.xml and replace *all* RequiresAuthorization="1" with RequiresAuthorization="0". It worked as far as getting into the game again. But now Sten is in his underwear (was wearing bloodplate armor) and Shale is gone, huh. Under downloadable content it says both bloodplate armor and Shale are "enabled." Is this a matter of updating? Geez this is frustrating.

same issue here, wallet amount not showing up, all DLC is "unauthorized", tried the XML hack and can get in the main content, but DLC crashes with "unable to create area"

Despite the Authorization issue being taken care of, we still can't access the DLC. Until the issue is resolved you can't use or access any DLC Items or Content. Theres naught to be done about it, hopefully this is resolved soon.

I started the game, so excited i purchased it off amazon. Put my reedem code in, did everything i was supposed too. Ive had to reinstall it twice, still nothing. this sucks, i really dislike how i cant access anything. I payed for all this extra content and guess what i didnt get it. Please help, my reedem code says it doesnt work, when it really should. I just dont understand.

For anyone directed to this thread: There is nothing you can do. You cannot currently access your DLC. There are no FAQs or tricks you can do to currently enable it, the Authorization mechanic EA uses with the DRM for Dragon Age: Origins DLC is currently down, and until it is fixed we are out of luck.

Just started a Mage Origin. Gimoire of the Frozen Wates, Blood Dragon Plate are both in inventory. Sulcher's Pass appears in Codex Entry. All by using the following, previously posted, solution.

•Close out of the game. Go to My Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings.
•Find the Addins.xml file and open it with Word Pad, Notepad, or any XML editor.
•Press Ctrl. A to select all, then Ctrl. C to copy.
•Paste the copied text into a new Notepad, Word Pad, or Word document and save the file. This will be your back-up.
•Go back to the Addins.xml file and replace all entries that read RequiresAuthorization="1" with RequiresAuthorization="0".
