The only thing i got out of them with regards to time is that it will be a long while yet. Not helpful but it seems their DA2 system may have had something to do with the DA:O issues (my opinion not theirs)

Same problem here. Had the DLC but it sayed unauthorized. The engineer requested me to delete the DLC and try to reinstall it thru the game. The only problem is, there is no DLC showing up :( This is my 2nd copy i bought (1st was the original for Xbox360) so i've spend quite some money on this game now. Hope they are seriously working on this issue.

MM-Style, They won't contact you. I asked them the same question. They gave a link to this forum and just said to watch the forums.

Yeah. With no announcement here acknowledging that the problem actually exists in the first place (and thus preventing people to run amok on these boards), do you really think they will announce when they fix it?

I am having the same issue.  I am logged in but it says in order to resume a registered user of premium content must be logged in.  Tech support could not help so they told me to post my issue here.  Unfortunatly I cannot play the game now.  Great.

Got the issue to... I have tried this:
Setting all "Authorisation="0" in that file (forgot the name now)
http://help.dragonag...on age services
http://help.dragonag...7/accountType/1
I still cannot load my game, cause "I dont own the extras" that I was playing no problem last week :-(

I recomend everyone who hasn't submit a ticket on it as maybe them seeing more and more users experiencing it will spark them to prioritize it

Add me to the list with this issue.

Bought the Ultimate Edition on steam but noticed that I was unable to access DLC after doing a windows re-install. By the looks of it, the timing was a coincidence. Tried a number of workarounds with no success.

I spoke to an agent online and I got the same response:

"Some of the customers have reported this issue. Our developers are aware of it and are working for a resolution. We appreciate your patience while the issue is being looked into."

I am going to take the advice found in a post above. On to another game until this is fixed officially.

I'm having the same problem. Everything worked fine a week or so ago. Suddenly Stone prisoner is giving trouble. it's listed under registered game promotions. It is listed and enabled ingame under dlc.
Yet loading a save says I don't have it. A new game will not list it under premium content.

Tried EA support: The email part is a mess and I gave up after 20 minutes. Tried chat only to be told after about 40 minutes waiting that it's a known issue that should be fixed in 24 hours.

This is about the 3rd time with some major trouble. I'm getting more than a bit annoyed about all this. Especially combined with the DA2 issues etc.

Renaming that profile file only makes the game whine about ALL my dlc btw.

I am having the same issue with Dragon Age: Origins Deluxe Edition (Mac). I've tried the AddIns.xml 'fix' (flipping the RequiresAuthorization bit to 0), and while the Unauthorized tag goes away, and I get the starting quests for the new content, I am not actually able to travel to those areas.

Warden's Keep won't show on the map, even after accepting the quest from Levi, and neither will Honnleath despite accepting the control rod from the merchant. Both Levi and the merchant also continue to offer the quest, no matter how many times I accept it.

Additionally, none of the Feastday gifts show up on the Camp vendor and neither has the Dragon Blood armor shown up in my inventory.

The AddIns.xml 'fix', at least for me, appears to be merely a cosmetic one as I still don't have access to any of the DLC content.

So, add me to the list of 'affected customers' for this issue. Seems like it has been 48 hours since this was first reported. Can we get a Bioware official update on this issue?

this is why I buy stand alone games I paid you people for this game and all the extras yet our accounts say unauthorized Why do I need to be authorized evey time I want to play once I purchase your content I should be able to play the game without an online connection. I know your worried about piracy. But the only piracy I see going on is your company taking my hard earned money and now you want to tell me to post in a forum the forum didn't disable my content your company did. so who's the pirate? This was my reason for buying stand alone games because I didn't want to deal with someone else having control of the games I purchase I guess I'll just go back to my old games. And even though I know it will never happen Bioware and EA I want my money back I've spent over 100.00 dollars on YOUR GAMES for they don't belong to me if they can't be played nobody would but a car if you told them it was going to break down every 6 weeks and the only mechanic that works on that kind of car when it breaks down needs you to sent letter and if enough people have the same problem you might get an anwser sometime. I'm not saying it's not a great game it is but if it's not mine I don't want it and since I can't play when I want to or for that matter have time to what good is there to having it. You didn't sell anyone a game you sold the right to play your game if and when you choose to allow it lets face it when your company goes down and the server turns off nobody can play and the game disc becomes another piece plastic worth about .03 cents.if that. This sucks because I did like this game I do like this game But I'll never buy another and I'd really like my money back I believe you have misrepresented your game and for me ruined a game I've been playing since the release of Baldurs Gate all to check for pirates check your company first the guy who came up with the idea to check every time and now can't make it work that's the pirate if you buy content it should be authorized at time of purchase and logging in shoud have nothing to do with playing content you purchased once installed on a pc logging in should be a choice not a requirement and I guess until it is a choice I'm done I don't want to play something I don't really own Hope you all get a fix sorry for venting in your forum

If you can, try playing logged out of the servers. This has been working for me. It will not affect anything as the authentication for DA:O comes from the playable disk. I'm not sure this will work with the Steam version however.

Even if I am logged out, I am still prevented from loading up my saved games that were created prior to this issue and still receive the message that I need the content authorized. My game was installed after the DLC issue happened so maybe that is my issue.

I am playing as logged out currently. I know the one downside is if and when I try to migrate this DA character into DA2 I will need to be logged in and then have all that I had done to be uploaded. Just hoping by that time they will have the problem fixed so when I do get ready to play DA2 I will be able to log in to have my characters data uploaded.

Nope, still ongoing. DLC is still unauthorized and profile is still not updating.

Angry block of text isn't helping. Try to contribute with something useful or take a breath and go play outside. It's a game, it'll be back up soon enough.

Hey, andyjamison1. Through which link on the site did you submit a ticket? I'm having a hard time locating where I should put a ticket in.

guys, the engineer i spoke made me delete my entire DLC content. The idea was to re-download it from the game itself. All 3 tabs are empty. Is there anyway to get the content back without having to reinstall the game? I was also wondering, what if you kill the updateservice and just run the game local with the content enabled. Anyone tried this?

If you have purchased and authorized your DLC once BEFORE the Weekend of Doom, all you need to do is start the game. Then log out.

The game only asks you to log in when it's online. When it's offline, it checks authorization from information stored on your HD (don't ask me where, I think I remember reading somewhere that it's profile.dap). So your DLC is authorized and works when you're offline. (This is the method I've been using for playing the last few days, with all DLC functional)...

Once you've wiped your installation, however, there's not much you can do. There is a sticky post on PC tech board dealing with DLC, it's worth checking in your case.
