Yes, that is exactly your problem. As I said in my previous post, you need to have had your DLC authorized online once BEFORE this manure happened.gmf1111 wrote...
Even if I am logged out, I am still prevented from loading up my saved games that were created prior to this issue and still receive the message that I need the content authorized. My game was installed after the DLC issue happened so maybe that is my issue.
Premium Content is "Unauthorized"??

guys, the engineer i spoke made me delete my entire DLC content. The idea was to re-download it from the game itself. All 3 tabs are empty. Is there anyway to get the content back without having to reinstall the game? I was also wondering, what if you kill the updateservice and just run the game local with the content enabled. Anyone tried this?
If this was a true fix, then those who just purchased the game or just recently tried to install it, would not been having the same issue as the rest of us. Then if by chance you were to reload the game, there may be the issue where you may have lose some content of your saved games or charachters.

As I've stated or attempted to do so. That is working for me, only thing is, this mess still has to be cleared up. At some point I will want to be logged in, so I can have access to my content for DA2.
Or for those of us who can't play at all.

I opened a chat session with a tech who pointed me to this forum and said to watch it. I questioned they tech that it looks like this problem has been going on for several days with no resolution and he repeated the techs are working on it. I asked the tech, how will I know the problem has been resolved? He said, watch this thread.
So moderators, the techs are pointing everyone here. Hope you get an answer to us "soon".

However, I believe now that this was a bullcrap of a help session to make me go away. None of the DLC quests are working properly in-game, notably with places not coming up on the map. One example is Sulcher's Pass. That showed up in my game, and I met with the merchant who gave me the golem rod (except the rod never showed up in my inventory). The village I'm suppose to go to is not on my map, and the quest shows up as completed.
Another example is Warden's Keep. Levi Dryden is in my party camp, but every time I agree to help him, he remains there with an exclamation mark over his head. And Stone Keep never shows up on my map.
Yet another example is Return to Ostagar. I got the random battle, and Ostagar is big and yellow on my map. When I reach about halfway there, however, the game shuts down with a message, "Unable to load area". Then I'm taken back to the start screen.
I believe my issue is actually that I never got a promotional code to authorize DLC on my account. I don't have things like "Warden's Keep" and "Witch Hunt" in My Redeemed Content on the Bioware Social Network site. I registered my copy of Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition for Mac with my EA account using my Activation Key, but I got a bunch of random things for Dragon Age II.
I've e-mailed EA Support about this, and they keep giving me answers as if my content is unauthorized. His last response was another "sorry", and a redirection to post in this thread and watch it. I am seriously getting upset now. Has any other person whose digitally downloaded the Mac version of Ultimate Edition had this problem? Not being able to authorize DLC because of a missing code that EA refuses to give me?

I purchased the Ultimate Edition for Mac, and installed everything fine. However, I had loads of trouble getting everything authorized, and contacted EA support twice. The last person directed me to instructions to modify a file in the Bioware folder, changing values from "1" to "0", I guess bypassing the authorization requirement. All my DLC showed up as "Enabled" in my game then, with no "unauthorized" sign next to them.

If you took time to read this thread, you will see it is related to bioware server issue, as those of us who has had the game, can nolonger play unless we are logged out. Our content is also showing unauthorized, when prior to last weekend we were playing just fine. This is a known problem and engineers at bioware is supposedly suppose to be working on it. Has nothing to do with what operating system is being used.

I apoligize if I am repeating already posted info. I have been dealing with this issue since Thursday night and I didn't want to read through all 5 pages of this thread.
I will update this when I have finished with the dazip files.

DLC is no longer unauthorized, bioware points are showing up and newly purchased dlc will download, but now I'm getting an "install failed" error for the new dlc. I contacted support, and here I am again.
I had the same problem I cleared the addons folder within the my docs section and reran the DA and all was well from that point I had to manuly install feastday packs and blood armer found here http://dragonage.wik...ontent_(Origins)
It looks like they have all installed prprely now
edit note if you look at the wiki page you can find the actule folder to delete in the addons of the failed packages and just delete those folders for the ones that are failing for you.
hope this helps.
