Nice read, I found Stasis to be interesting though not integral for more damage focused groups like mine. I play an infiltrator But CC is always nice.

An interesting read, thanks for that Christina. I've not as yet played through ME2 as an adept, but i'll certainly do so now. It's been said elsewhere, but again - Lair of the Shadowbroker was superb. Best 800 points i've spent on xbox live by a long way.

Hello everybody, 1st post, wot.

I haven't played the dlc yet (PC user here), but after reading the diary and looking at the wikia it doesn't look like something that useful or different from what we already have.
On paper, to me, it just looks like a less effective singularity (as both powers stop enemies from shooting you) just with a different graphical effect and "WOW!" factor.
A quick comaparison, the stats are taken from the ME wikia

- Targets n.
Si 2 - 6
St 1
- Works on shields
Si yes (holds target and damage the protection too)
St yes
-Hold duration
Si 5 - 9 sec
St 5 - 12 sec
-Cooldown
Si 6 sec
St 12 sec

So you basically gain 3 seconds of hold duration over Singularity, but during all that time you cannot damage the target with weapons AND you cannot use a power beacause of the long cooldown??
Argh, i was really longing for a foundamental improvement to the adept class...

For the lucky guys who can use the new power, is there something i'm missing?
Can you warp explode it?
Is it insta cast, reave-like?
Does it really work on ALL enemies (Harbinger, scions... praetorians)
Looking forward to the DLC anyway

Amazing DLC, best money I've spent in ages, most fun I've had playing a video game... I think ever.

Enhanced Stasis: Increases the penetration of Stasis so that targets build up less resistance to its effects. Targets become immune more slowly.

I would like to know what we can do with an Enhanced Stasis that we can't do with Deep Stasis. Can we hurt a little an enemy during the Enhanced Stasis at the beginning of the Stasis?

Also, if we give to Liara "Asari Controller" (level 4) the description seems to be wrong in her profile because it says (in a french version of the game in french) :

Health: +20.00%

Weapon Damage: +18.00%

Power Recharge Time: -18.00% (it should be -25%)

Interesting insight. Can't say I had a chance to appreciate that custom AI you wrote, as I keep all powers on manual (I'm prone to constantly micromanaging power use). I was pleasantly surprised by the return of Stasis, however. I wondered at its absense in ME2 until this download.

Didn't know it also joined the ranks of the bonus powers you can add to Shepard. I guess LotSB does sort of count as Liara's "loyalty mission," though, so it makes sense.

I did get some use out of Stasis, but I admit--I spent more time using Miranda's Slam skill to send the Shadow Broker's thugs sailing through the air to their instant death. =D

I would love to use Stasis but Slam is too much fun. Especially in this DLC where you see them fly up then get thrown to the back of the ship by the strong winds. :P

Singularity does not hold shielded targets for the listed duration, the listed duration is for unshielded targets. When used on shielded targets it quickly consumes charges while causing brief "I got hit" reactions.

Christina I have a small question about the DLC. After I ask it I will interject with my time with Stasis.

I played the DLC. I beat it. I did another mission. I came back and checked the terminal where you can get free gifts. I was amazed when there was a sniper rifle damage upgrade in the terminal. So now I have 5/5 damage upgrades for the sniper but I haven't done the IFF mission yet (where the last one is). So my first question is, is this supposed to happen (I assume yes)? My second question is how many times can you get research upgrades from the terminal? My final question is, do you get research upgrades from missions you never completed yet, and if you do, do they not show up in said mission?

Anyway Stasis. I tried it on my Vanguard while doing the Save the Crates mission on Hardcore. I had Tali and Legion with me. I used the Cain to mostly destroy all 3, I then used Stasis on one, and explosive drones on the other 2. I was able to really easily save all 20 crates, and Stasis is such a wonderful power. I like how once they are released they fall and have to stand back up. I also love how eventually they become immune to it. It's a really good bonus power, and I am certainly going to make a new Adept Shepard and use it through the entire game. Thanks for such a good release.

I got the 6/6 sniper rifle damage there, cause I played post- Suicide Mission.

how exactly does immunity work? I picked enhanced because it looked worse on paper, so i assumed it would actually be better. that makes sense, right?

I'm guessing enhanced is better for large targets

I actually just tested it on a YMIR mech. It becomes immune slowly with the one that says it makes them become immune more slowly. I tried them both, I like them both but the one that makes it harder for enemies to become immune seems more applicable, because honestly you don't need the base 12 time for them to be frozen, since Shepard's cooldown is so fast with upgrades.

So we can spam more often an Enhanced Stasis on the same enemy with full effect because he becomes immune more slowly with it... That's right ? But Deep Stasis can't be very powerfull the second time on the same enemy. Isn't it ?

Very minor correction, in ME1 ONLY Shepard can use the Squad mate's Status from the Power Wheel, at least that what the game says.
ps. It was the last achievement that I got and it took me forever.

Is this what a dev posted about a while ago about waiting to play his adept on insanity?
