That 9 GB folder on your drive contains the largest database EVER of pre-directed realtime-rendered scenes for ANY engine. the scenes, in turn, make use of at least 4 different databases of intricate animation scripts, for lipsyncing differently shaped mouths in the most convincing way imaginable for realtime rendered CGI.
But I guess that a botched installer is reason enough to dismiss this tiny bit of trivia. And collectively declare "unprofessional"
I said DLC. Look, if you hire a contractor to build you a house, and he builds you a beautiful house, that's awesome! Then you ask the guy to come back and add-on a breakfast nook in the kitchen.
He agrees to do so and takes your money.
The 'breakfast nook' ends up being just some chalk lines drawn on the kitchen wall. When you complain, he says, "oh yeah, I'll get to that later".
Would you hire him to do any more addons to your house? Or would you say to your friends, "use this guy for your initial housebuilding, but get someone else for any remodels."?
Bioware has consistently had problems with DLC for the pc! This is not in dispute. Even the method by which you get the stuff is hard to figure out if it's not the one that's on the front page as recently released. It's not very professional at all! The game itself is pretty, but the mechanisms they have for their DLC (which is the cash cow, btw) are horrible.
Bioware charged you ~$60 for the game which had between 50 and 100 hours of content. They charged you $10 for DLC that reportedly has 1.5-3hrs of content. I'm not complaining about the price, I think it's fine. But this is their big moneymaker, you'd think they'd take better care of it.
