When the car chase begins I get no visuals at all. All i hear is audio. I tried playing it blind and using just her words for directions but that is impossible. Anyone know of any solution to this???

I know this sounds like a bad repitition, but did you check if the drivers for your graphics card are up to date ?
Without more specific Info about your system it's going to be hard to help, and even then there's no guarantee.

That is actually the one thing i'm envious of in regards to consoles, when they work, they just work. Pop the disc into the drive, load it up and you're good to go.
Though I never could get the hang of controlling a shooter with a gamepad

I'd rather deal with the driver/PC issues over console issues any day of the week. Its easier to replace a $20 DVD Rom drive in a PC than it is to shell out $100 for a refurbed console or $200 plus to get a new one. All because a console wont read a disc. ;-)

Just finished the DLC. Took me about 2.5 hours on Insanity. I died 4 times. Probably could have shaved a half hour off if I wanted to speed-run it, but I like to savor, not chug. Anyway, it's PURE AWESOME. It features the two best boss fights in the whole game, superb level design, and lots of great dialog with Liara. It's right up there with the best the game has to offer.

I’ve bought Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2 and the countless DLCs including this one THAT DOES NOT WORK WITH MY LOCALIZED VERSION and all the explanation given is:



"I wanted to give a bit more insight into the Polish, Czech and Hungarian builds for our fans.

Believe me, we tried to make it work for these languages. DA was able to release English DLC for these localized versions of the game, but that isn't the case for us. On the Mass Effect side, it isn't as simple. By allowing the players of these versions to use the English DLC, there would be large scale changes to the main-game player experience. We didn't want to sacrifice the quality of the main game, and tried to work around this in various ways. In the end, unfortunately, we were unable to come to a solution which allowed us to release this content in these territories and keep the same level of quality from the main game.

I'd like to personally apologize to anyone in these regions who are disappointed, and please know that it wasn't an easy decision to make.

A little elaboration on the topic would have been welcome with suggestions for possible solutions.



1, Was I to read the forums day and night to find this piece of info and not buy something that will not work to "keep the same level of quality "?

Could have included a text at the main page:

"Poor Sobs from central/eastern Europe do not bother to download the most important DLC for Mass Effect 2 IT WONT WORK FOR YOU GUYS!!! "



2, Why on earth does Dragon age's witch hunt DLC work, that’s also only in english?

Why couldn’t the subs just be in english since the audio is always in english?

At least we the option should have been left in the main game to choose original language that would have eliminated many inconveniences later on....



How come previous mass effect 2 DLCs work?



3, I hear conflicting rumors that we can download a digital English version through the EA download manager for free, apparently that’s also a multilanguage version, will it work with that version? will my save game files work with that?





Don’t get me wrong I respect your work and am very grateful for the countless hours of fun they brought me, but the way you handled this issue is just cruel and a major let down.

If you don't like this DLC, you probably shouldn't ever bother downloading a DLC again.

All valid points, and I'm not going to abandon my Rig for a console, I just said that they do have certain advantages
I know my system inside out, without having to worry about a warranty, which you simply can't do with a console.
Also, PCs can be upgraded to achieve better graphics, better speed and sound, something you can't do with a console

Any new weapons and armor with this dlc? Definitely leaning towards this one rather than witch hunt for DA, that one sounds too buggy. (big surprise)

I've heard you can continue your relationship with Liara with this new DLC, and was wondering if there was any word on whether or not doing so will earn you a paramour achievement?

I want to continue the relationship with Liara but at the same time I also want that bloody achievement since I missed it on my last play through and don't want to have to start all over again just to get it.

Apparently the PC version is full of crashes and doesn't even install for a large number of people.  Looks like you ****s still won't be getting any more of my money. Selling broken products while still refusing to fix outstanding issues (reproducible crashes with Mass Effect 2, dozens of game-breaking bugs in Dragon Age and Awakening) is unacceptable, and EA and BioWare should be ashamed for letting this absolute dog**** service continue.  This sort of idiotic mistake should not have happened, period.

Why would you even think a corrupted file would work?  It's broken.  That was the whole reason they took down the DLC for PC.  So, yes: you have to download the not broken one.

Wow. DLC was way WAY better than I expected. Not only did I get to have Liara as a squadmate but I got to scrog her too. Good stuff.
