You probably used the old link.  Use this one:

http://static.cdn.ea...hadowBroker.exe

ETA: Sorry. I just posted the old link. See how easy it is? It's now correct.

Best DLC I've played in a long time, Bioware. This is pretty much required reading/viewing for anyone who plays Mass Effect 2. I've already gushed all I can in the General No-Spoilers Forum, so I'll just go over it again here:

Amazing character development, great character interaction, stellar dialogue, amazing cinematic fidelity, thrilling plot, great gameplay, great creative elements peppered throughout, and freaking awesome banter between Shepard and Liara... everything UP TO PAR with the main game, and better. LotSB was so well done, and so worth the wait, that I'd gladly pay $20 for another of the same caliber (twice as long, mind you. :P ).

Also, the conclusion of this chapter of the Liara romance thread was pretty moving. Beyond Overlord's emotional ending. Well done.

I’ve bought Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2 and the countless DLCs including this one THAT DOES NOT WORK WITH MY LOCALIZED VERSION and all the explanation given is:

"I wanted to give a bit more insight into the Polish, Czech and Hungarian builds for our fans.
Believe me, we tried to make it work for these languages. DA was able to release English DLC for these localized versions of the game, but that isn't the case for us. On the Mass Effect side, it isn't as simple. By allowing the players of these versions to use the English DLC, there would be large scale changes to the main-game player experience. We didn't want to sacrifice the quality of the main game, and tried to work around this in various ways. In the end, unfortunately, we were unable to come to a solution which allowed us to release this content in these territories and keep the same level of quality from the main game.
I'd like to personally apologize to anyone in these regions who are disappointed, and please know that it wasn't an easy decision to make.
" -Michael Gamble

A little elaboration on the topic would have been welcome with suggestions for possible solutions.

1, Was I to read the forums day and night to find this piece of info and not buy something that will not work to "keep the same level of quality "?
Could have included a text at the main page:
"Poor Sobs from central/eastern Europe do not bother to download the most important DLC for Mass Effect 2 IT WONT WORK FOR YOU GUYS!!! :P"

2, Why on earth does Dragon age's witch hunt DLC work, that’s also only in english?
Why couldn’t the subs just be in english since the audio is always in english?
At least we the option should have been left in the main game to choose original language that would have eliminated many inconveniences later on....

How come previous mass effect 2 DLCs work?

3, I hear conflicting rumors that we can download a digital English version through the EA download manager for free, apparently that’s also a multilanguage version, will it work with that version? will my save game files work with that?

Don’t get me wrong I respect your work and am very grateful for the countless hours of fun they brought me, but the way you handled this issue is just cruel and a major let down.

I don’t want my money back for this DLC, I just want to play it :(

To those getting the problem with the language read above!

This is the correct one:

http://static.cdn.ea...hadowBroker.exe

The incorrect one has the "ME2_DLC" directory in the URL.

I totally agree best DLC to date and that is counting Bringing Down the Sky for ME1. But that is just my opinion.

Just saw that this DLC was re-added to the list of available DLCs to purchase, currently downloading the file using Internet Download Manager, it says it's 1.518 GB in size, currently 13 minutes left for downloading, hoping this works, I'm a huge fan of Mass Effect 2.

==EDIT==

Ok, finished downloading... WHOO!!!! It's installing!!!! The installer works for me!!!! Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit here.

Good, because I miss Liara :P

@didymost : new file still doesn´t work, i.e. no ME2-Icon, if I tell it to Start, nothing happens.

Does this DLC include any new gear/weapons? Just curious, from the feedback so far I think I will have to get it.

It doesnt but its well worth it for the story, action and temporary new squadmate

Damn.
So you're saying that she's only available for her quest then leaves you again? I suppose that makes sense since there really isn't anywhere else to store her on the Normandy unless she stays in Shepherds room or doubles up with Dr. Chakwas or something.

Ok, now that I can comfirm it worked, Win 7 64bit and all, though the bandwidth dipped badly, can't use the browser's download manager to make it work fast enough.

I copletely agree with you. Exepet that I want my money back. I bought BIOWARE points to download this DLC as soon as it realeased. But now it seems that EA-BIOWARE uses my money and gave me nothing for that. I am not just dissapointed but also very upset and sad. The worst thing that announcement did not said a word about it will not be avaliable for us in the region. Maybe EA-BIOWARE could inform us before in time, so I would not buy any BIOWARE points. :?
