By the way, here's a little something. Brought to you by Hungarian Mass Effect fans:
- Shepard, please, you must save the galaxy. Humanity is counting upon you.
- Ok, well... I will be needing a top-of-the-line space ship.
- We got it...
- I will be needing some of the brightest, the toughest agents...
- Here's a lot dossiers...
- I will be needing the correct vectors of the objective...
- Do not worry, every little aspect of your mission - a mission like which has never been ventured upon in the whole damned galaxy before - is being designed properly by a thousand of our most skillful men and women, who work on this subject day and night, over and over, some of them willing to sacrifice even their lives to achive the ultimate goal.
- Well, I will be needing some weapons, too...
- Ouch...
- What's the matter?
- Well... there aren't any.
- What?
- Weapons, we don't have. I mean, here you are!
- What's that?
- Well, we found it in a colony. It was lying on the ground.
- What?!
- Err... do not worry about the caked blood stain. It seems the Collectors slew its owner with his own weapon. He won't be needing it anyway.
- Yikes, it's disgusting... I won't get my hands on that **** that's for sure!
- You don't have to grab it with your hands. There is a machine on the ship which can make copies of any weapon in any number that you want. Collector weapons are unavailable at the moment.
- What?
- Yep, it's really cool, don't you think?
- So, you want to tell me that you possess the technology to make copies of any weapon using a cupboard-sized machine if you have the initial pattern, but you cannot send me a briefcase with some guns which just came down from the production line?
- Agh... well... if you would want to say this harsh... then yes... the brief answer is yes.
- Well then...
- Yep, you have to go scavange.
- But you have ammunition, at least, I hope?
- No, we use advanced weapons (if we found some) which don't need ammuniton at all. Just thermal clips. Thermal clips are universally designed so if you found some, you can use them on any weapon. Unfortunately, if you are out of thermal clips, you can't fire.
- Strange. Before we discovered mass effect technology, our firearms worked just like this.
- True, but the geth used their brilliant mathematics and developed thermal clips, so they can fire continuously. We had to adapt to their tactic.
- Hm, I remember two years ago I could fire with my machine gun for a minute before it started to overheat, if I installed the proper heating mod.
- Maybe true, but now we use advanced tecnology, as I said before.
- Ok, but if I'm out of thermal clips with my first weapon I can detach the thermal clips loaded into my other weapons (if I find any more), and reload the first weapon with them, I suppose?
- Unfortunately that won't happen.
- Great!
- Oh, come on, sarcasm leads nowhere.
- I'm a bit afraid to ask... do you have armor?
- Well... nope.
- It just gets better. So, I have to scavange them, too?
- Oh, nonono, what are you thinking? That would be disgusting, wouldn't it? Plus you will shoot holes on them, which makes them less useful.
- So what should I do?
- Go buy some on the black market from unreliable black merchants.
- What?
- Yeah, head directly to Omega, to the world's most filthy and crappy alleyway filled with vorchas, and there you will find armor.
- You are just kidding, right?
- Do not forget to wash them before you put them on, just to be sure.
- **** off, I'm heading back to the Alliance.

Last I checked you were given a full compliment of Weapons and Armor, with more armor available if you purchase DLC or have the bonuses. Plus you are given a full compliment of heat sink everytime you leave ship. It is only whey you want non-standard weapons and armor that you have to go buy or scavange it. The only time this isn't true is the first mission when you are basically in a emergency situation, where they didn't plan on having combat, but by the time you visit TIM you are given full load of weapons.
Pansy skit, you could always harken back to the good ole'days and be given a leather shirt and a dagger!!!!

Before ME3 comes out, make one edition of ME2 with all of the DLC-s and dragon armor! PLEASE! I would really like a collection with everything on my shelf! I'm kinda physical guy. I bought ME1 and I'm really happy to help financially, but I play ME2 illegally. I would really like to buy this game, but in Croatia, games are so damn expensive!

EPIC FAIL of a post. Hmmm, let's see, how about I just blatantly admit to piracy on the developer's forum! LOL!!!

Are you serious ?
Coming in here and admitting that you are playing a pirated copy of a game in the forum dedicated to it, is going to get you smacked with a banhammer.
I don't think that there is no work available in Croatia, so get a job and buy the game, almost everyone here had to as well.
Can you believe the nerve of that guy ?

Just bea this DLC in about 60 minutes on casual. The car chase scene was fun, and the Lair which calls for multiple visits is interesting. HOWEVER
I don't feel inclined to return to the Shadow Broker lair simply because I have no real reason to be playing Mass Effect 2. There are no other elements of the game that are unlimited. The lair is a good start in that returning there will cause new things to happen, but there's nothing else like this in the game. IF you've done all the missions, all you can do is explore the hubs and run around the SR-2. Maybe once more unlimited elements are implemented, the Lair will become more practical to visit.

I guess there is a practical reason why that this didn't happen: voice acting costs money, and obviously it was more economical to just not bring Liz Sroka, Brandon Keener, etc to come in to voice the squadmates again. But still, aside from the breathtaking environments and amazing story and richness of the universe, this made this DLC a 9.5 out of 10 instead of a perfect rating.

If Central Europe market is too small to bother with edited DLC then do NOT make separate version of the game for it!!!

Probably not the place for this question, but the hell with it, I'm stuck. I can't get my Lair of the Shadow Broker to start. I'm playing on the xbox 360, everything's downloaded and installed. No new messages or new galaxy map locations to start me on my way. What's up?
First question is did you download it while play ME2? If you did you just need to go to dashboard and load ME2 again and it will work. Make sure you save first before you quit.
Second Question is are you far enough in the game to access Illium? If not its not going to show up probably until you can access Illium.
If the above two don't work try redownloading the dlc on the dashboard and see if that works if not call M$.

Complaining aside, it was nice to see a Spectre again, their presence was sorely missed in ME2. And the flying car sequence was a very welcome change from the standard poor man's Gears of War mechanics. That's the kind of diversity I'd personally like to see flesh out ME3, hell, even full on cinematic space battles that can be controlled to a degree.
Still, a great piece of work overall, but overpriced, definitely. I'm having a hard time believing LotSB cost 1/6th ME2's budget to create, so the price really needs to fall back in line with what is essentially 2 missions (and the main game has over 30).

not good at all there is no choice to stop liara and 2 missions hardly justifys 1.52GB they should have tryed harder with this and it does not get good feedback from me also bio said more reasarch i found only a crappy pistol upgraed
You have to go back every(real) day for extras. My second day I got an AR upgrade, not sure about this but I wonder if the items that you collect on his ship are stackable meaning that they keep on adding everyday until you pick them up.

It's interesting the other DLC-s work, awesome strategy !! If I know that, can't get the full ME2 story, and I can't get the last DLC, maybe I would not have spent so much money on it to buy most all DLC-s.
I am disappointed
I know, who cares ...

I'm most disappointed. At first they remove English from Central Europe version of the game and then the most interesting DLC of all will NOT be available for us. Did anyone had any damn thought about distribution in Central Europe? ME2 is 18+ game and most of the people in here are used to play games in English. We don't need botched up czech/polish/hungarian version (Czech version is just horrible ... google translate could do it better!!!). Most of us need just damn subtitles for spoken word and everything else is fine.
If Central Europe market is too small to bother with edited DLC then do NOT make separate version of the game for it!!!
true, so that make me to think two version, find an illegal version or W8 for a miracle. And yes you sholud take ur money back coz cz version is baaad, not correct and unprofesionnal. its shame for ea that they forgot about ce europe players, there are lot of player here too. and i ask them this question on support, ummm 50 hours no respon lol fail.

Fortunately, we can change our crappy "versions" to English in seconds. Officially, this DLC is unavailable, but you can still buy it and install it. You just need to play with registry and one file in ME 2 folder. And that's the good part in the bad situation - we can play the DLC:) I'm just angry at EA that they decided and tried to take away one of the most important parts of the story from us. I bet it will happen again with every next DLC.
