I have to say this is some of, if not, the best writing for a video game I've seen.

afterall these are the guys that made sonic cool again

so should i start my game over then? cause i long finished all the illuim missions

That's weird. Normally you would get the email back at the Normandy after you finish helping Liara with her hacking quests.

Another: the nostalgia the game brought with it was worth the money. Whether you romanced Liara or not or even if you cheated on her, there is something for everyone.

I agree with some of the posters: hopefully Bioware still has some time and resources to churn out an Ashley/Kaidan or Wrex DLC. What made this DLC great for me is that Shepard finally felt like a person. BW was able to flesh out some emotions out of him and the banter between Shep and Liara brought back fond memories of ME1. If a miracle somehow happens and BW releases something about Ash/Kaidan and/or Wrex, that would totally blow the minds off a lot of people specially if the DLC is of the same caliber as LotSB.

And they definitely had sex at the end, whenever asari eyes go black they are either ready to do the dirty deed or ready to flay someone alive with their minds. I'm guessing the former.

So does that mean you already did "the dirty deed" with Shiala? I think not. You forgot exchange of information / melding (I think it's called so). And I don't recall ever witnessing your second example.

Any chance a proper add-on bundle will be released before ME3 with all the DLCs? Cause I won't be buying some DLC that is finished in an hour or so, no matter what.

Considering the context of the scene, I strongly doubt they were sharing information. :P

LOTSB is the best of all the DLC missions, although I loved Overlord. The story in LOTSB was definitely enjoyable. It has the most emotional resonance of all the DLC, which is why I think people like it so much. Unlike Overlord, and the other DLC, LOTSB does a good job of tying into and strengthening existing story arcs. I wonder why the other DLC was so isolated in scope?

LOTSB is the best of all the DLC missions

I'd say it's even better than the main plot of ME 2:D

Just finished it, and it's great! Best DLC yet, although the non-romance Liara ending was really sad :(

I've played LOTSB a few times now and I agree with those who say that it is quite good. The gameplay was of the same quality or better than the ME2 average.

I was put off by Liara though. Not to say that it was not well written, it was. I just wasn't a fan of things she said and her overall attitude. Though I did re-romance her in one of the playthroughs, I only did it because it was just dangling there at the end of the mission and required not additional hoop-jumping.

She was developed into an ambiguous pseudo-hardass in a manner that I think was not at all justified by the provided back-story.

tl:dr -- liked the DLC, don't really like Liara anymore..

What! Have you no heart? Lol

You know I'm not sure I could even replay it to do that - there'd be sleepless nights!!

Sorry for the stupid newbie question, but how do I download this new DLC. When I fire up ME2 and click the "New downloadable content" it take me to the Boiware web checkout page telling me I don't have enough Bioware points to purchase it. I have 1500 GFWL points that I want to use up, so how to I get the download from there? When I bring up the GFWL client I see no mention of ME2 anywhere.

Any help really appreciated.

Probably obvious but I should have mentioned it... I am playing ME2 on a PC. I looked at the Games->ME2->Oficial Dowloads page on this site and found the DLC, but when I click on the loink to pay with MS points it took me to the Xbox Live page and wanted to download a version for the Xbox.

You can't use MS points to buy the PC version of the DLC. If you want the PC version of the DLC you have to buy Bioware points (ie BW points). You can only buy the xbox version of the DLC with Microsoft points.

Is that a new policy? I bought the other DLC's with MS points but I just can't remember how I did it now. I hate GFWL anyway so would be glad to ditch it, but would like to spend the points I bought there first :(

If anything I like Liara even more than before.
She has seen trouble while being without the support of the one she loves (at least for people who stayed faithful) and had to deal with it with the help of a man she barely knew.
Of course that changed her on the surface, but I think underneath she's still the same Liara that people have come to know and love.

I find it hard to believe you were able to buy other Mass Effect PC DLC with microsoft points.  I think you might be a bit confused here, the Mass Effect series of games have never been part of Games For Windows Live.  You can only use your MS points on games that use the GFWL service, Mass Effect 2 does not use GFWL so if you want to buy the PC DLC you will have to buy Bioware points.

Okay, I admit my memory is crap, so you are probably right. Maybe I was thinking of FO3. Thanks anyway.

I finally had the chance to really sit down with LotSB and play it with one of my favorite Shepard builds.
I gotta agree this dlc blows Overload out of the water. Everything with this dlc was done rite.
Looking forward to the next dlc episode.

Finally got around to playing it. Played it on insanity and blasted through every mission with ease with my adept build (was damn fun rag dolling and warp bombing the hell out of the "shadow broker's assassin"). It had an interesting storyline, I like that this dlc acknowledged wether you already beat the game or not, what characters you have with you, etc. Liara's character has officially flipped, but it didn't bother me much.

It seems to make more sense to play it pre suicide mission with the massive benefits you get out of the whole thing. Also wish it was longer.

Definetly enjoyed this dlc. Hoping to see more of this caliber of dlc for other ME1 crew members.

So with all the compliments I assume this is worth the 800 points? It's either this or the possible Borderlands DLC coming.

i wish dear Liara had something to say to Shepard after finishing the LOTSB, her lover is entering the room but Liara doesn't even turn her back to his/her. this was the only downside of this brilliant dlc.
