Have anyone of you notice that Liara and Shepard said the same line by the end of thid DLC?

After the fighting with SB, once Shepard finished talking to Liara, she said, "Come back soon" when Shepard is leaving....

Then, when Liara finished visit Shepard on Normandy, this time Shepard said the same to Liara when she's leaving.....

I just found this is interesting as this kind of repeating same line have never happened before. (Ok, besides those "I should go" "I need to go" :P)

I got the feeling that she was so noncommittal and seemingly tepid simply because she had moved on, yet for some reason was unwilling to say so explicitly.

Every question choice you are given regarding the nature of her relationship with Feron is either answered ambiguously or outright dodged. I am happy for her, but I do not feel like my Shepards need treat her as anything more than a close friend.

So with all the compliments I assume this is worth the 800 points? It's either this or the possible Borderlands DLC coming.

It's worth every point, imho.

Seconded.
Best DLC yet and worth the price.

I HAVE to point out this. Localized versions of this DLC (I'm using Italian, but it's the same in French and German, as I have seen) miss a short clip after the combat with the Shadow Broker, where the third squad member gets again on his/her feet and Feron gets free from his torture chair. Why?
This is English version, complete, as you can see at 0:25.
And this is French version, truncated, as you can see at 11:15.
Videos are from YouTube; I didn't find any video about Italian version, but it has the same behaviour.
(There's another thread in tech help forum about this problem. I only repeated it here to give it more visibility.)
The missing clip lasts only 10-15 seconds, nevertheless its lack is frustrating. Why has it been cut off from localized version? Downloading 1.5 or 1.51 gigs would have made no difference.

but damn u bioware u have me pouting about how much i cant get a girlfriend again this DLC has so much emotional work it makes me sad at the end but also wish there was a choice to destrioy the base and have liara all to my self:wub:

We have Liara all to ourselves, mate. We exactly know where she is, and we can visit her whenever we want which is great News for ME3 because in the end Shepard and Liara will be together... if we don't get ourselves or her killed (which I will try to avoid at ANY cost).

In ME3 Ashley will come to you on the eve of the final battle saying that in order to avoid losing Shep, she must conceive a child with a Spectre.

You must go to Anderson and convince him to have the council make Garrus a Spectre, then convince Garrus to impregnate that seething alien-hater.  This will require a full paragon bar.

When Shep fires the shot that spills harbinger's circuitry all over the citidel, he will survive the release of energy since the taurian/human/bug/robot/god baby will absorb the blast.

You will thank Liara for keeping you warm during ME1, then promptly excuse yourself to enjoy ever-after with your true love.

Mordin's Immuno-boost 3000  will enable much merrymaking.

Bioware...ites...GREAT DLCs lately. Loved Overlord, loved the music played in during Overlord battles (please release the music!). Then we got Lair of the Shadowbroker. EXCELLENT. Well done.

Also: Love the new weapons: The geth shotgun is the most useful shotgun I've used in the game. Previously, I'd shun using the shotguns unless I was completely out of ammo for other weapons but now, the Geth shotgun actually gets use.

LOVE the new assault rifle. A semi-auto, the way the war gods INTENDED assault weapons to be made.

GREAT new sniper rifle. The 3-shot burst makes it a real contendor for the Viper anti-materiel sniper rifle.

Good work. Thank you. More like that please and I will be happy to pay to keep playing. Also, I know it is "old" now but could we MAYBE get a few more mission DLCs for ME1 too? I'll pay for those as well. I'll happily accept any reasons to replay the entire series...quick thought...after ME3 might it be remotely possible to rewrite the core code for ME1 using the same game controls and engine as ME2? If nothing else, the player controls in ME2 were MUCH improved over ME1 and I would actually purchase an updated ME1 using a newer game renderer/core and control system.

PLEEEZE?!

For the MOST part.  In ME1 you either got Ash or Kaiden killed.  No ways around it.  If given the option, however, I would have have fought to Kaiden's location to save him and his dudes.  As it was, I had to choose between the cyber-hot Ash or a dude...I'll choose the cyber-hot babe every time.

This might have been asked before, but for those that have already played LotSB, there is something I'm wondering. Bioware said the dialogue would be "heavily weighted" towards those who have already finished the suicide mission. Did anybody see any obvious signs of this? Would the DLC be a better experience if saved until after the suicide mission is complete?

Finally, if anybody is playing through this on insanity, how is/was the difficulty compared to the rest of the game?

I didn't know about the post-suicide mission bit from Bioware, I just happened to play it by resuming after having completed the suicide mission.  I'm not noticing anything that seems tied in any way to the suicide mission, and I am playing it on insanity level too.  On THAT, I cannot answer your question concerning comparison to the rest of the game (yet).  It is pretty tough on insanity (great bosses) and lots of enemy to deal with, especially later in the DLC.

I'll have to go back and play the entire game set on insanity level after this.

Highly recommend you get the new weapons pack if you don't have it already.  The new Geth shotgun, 3-round-burst sniper rifle, and the semiauto assault rifle are worth every penny.  The new sniper rifle is now comparible to the Viper in power and is semi-auto to boot.  The assault rifle is EXCELLENT.  No spray-and-pray nonsense.

The DLC is definitely worth the points.Image IPB

Without spoiling too much, there is a scene at the end where the dialogue changes if you've completed the SM. NOTE: I believe this scene only occurs if you romanced Liara.

Wait...is this true? If I were to play the entire game through on insanity level, it wouldn't really be harder than hardcore except that the bosses are harder? It's not harder to kill enemies in general? Your armor and shields are less effective? The enemy aren't more numerous?

I finally had the chance to really sit down with LotSB and play it with one of my favorite Shepard builds.
I gotta agree this dlc blows Overload out of the water. Everything with this dlc was done rite.
Looking forward to the next dlc episode.

I like ALL the recent DLC. THe new weapons (geth shotgun, semiauto assault rifle, new sniper rifle are all SUPERB), the new missions. The new armor is ok (don't generally like face-covering/hiding helmets, particularly when you can't take it off during non-combat). I very much enjoyed Overlord (great - GREAT - music) and LotSB is just f*cking fantastic. I will be happy to pay for more of the same in the future. I'd also happily pay for more ME1 DLC (though I would almost prefer that ME1 get a partial recode and release so that it uses the same control system and engine as ME2 - don't want the first one to become a quaint antique before or shortly after ME3 comes out. This trilogy is a keeper in my book.

Thank you Bioware. Outstanding work, even taking into account the initial glitches.

As always: I am enjoying all the DLC of ME2 ... Hats off to all the talented people at Bioware.
A question: is this to be the last DLC for ME2 before work on ME3 ramps up?

Cheers!

No, Insanity is a big leap from Hardcore. Your shields get stripped down much quicker, your health is much less, the enemies are more powerful and it seems as if they never miss.

On hardcore i'm still able to run around and have fun, with insanity your stuck with the "Take cover and shoot" mechanic if you want to survive.
