As always: I am enjoying all the DLC of ME2 ... Hats off to all the talented people at Bioware.
A question: is this to be the last DLC for ME2 before work on ME3 ramps up?
Cheers!
Bioware has confirmed there will be a series of story bridging DLC leading up to ME3.

This might have been asked before, but for those that have already played LotSB, there is something I'm wondering. Bioware said the dialogue would be "heavily weighted" towards those who have already finished the suicide mission. Did anybody see any obvious signs of this? Would the DLC be a better experience if saved until after the suicide mission is complete?
Finally, if anybody is playing through this on insanity, how is/was the difficulty compared to the rest of the game?
I didn't know about the post-suicide mission bit from Bioware, I just happened to play it by resuming after having completed the suicide mission. I'm not noticing anything that seems tied in any way to the suicide mission, and I am playing it on insanity level too. On THAT, I cannot answer your question concerning comparison to the rest of the game (yet). It is pretty tough on insanity (great bosses) and lots of enemy to deal with, especially later in the DLC.
I'll have to go back and play the entire game set on insanity level after this.
Highly recommend you get the new weapons pack if you don't have it already. The new Geth shotgun, 3-round-burst sniper rifle, and the semiauto assault rifle are worth every penny. The new sniper rifle is now comparible to the Viper in power and is semi-auto to boot. The assault rifle is EXCELLENT. No spray-and-pray nonsense.
The DLC is definitely worth the points.
Wait...is this true? If I were to play the entire game through on insanity level, it wouldn't really be harder than hardcore except that the bosses are harder? It's not harder to kill enemies in general? Your armor and shields are less effective? The enemy aren't more numerous?
No, Insanity is a big leap from Hardcore. Your shields get stripped down much quicker, your health is much less, the enemies are more powerful and it seems as if they never miss.
On hardcore i'm still able to run around and have fun, with insanity your stuck with the "Take cover and shoot" mechanic if you want to survive.
Ah...OK then. I thought I may have been hallucinating or something because on insanity with Overlord and LotSB it does seem my shields drop very quickly and I am seeing blood vessels a LOT

Meeting Liara again the first time, doing her missions and you ask her if she wants help finding the Shadowbroker and she gives you that 'duh, the universe doesn't work that way' speech. Having the LotS DLC and activating right after that made me laugh.
'The universe doesn't work that way .... '
'Uh-huh ... I pretty much know where he is, you wanna go get him or what?'

not only is this the best DLC i have played but
ive finally caved
after having bout 15 ME1 characters id given up trying different playthoughs as id lost track
of which ones which for imports i just used my original file as an arc
however afterplaying this i want to change things ive converted to one of those liara
lovers i dont know i just think the over all plot through out ME2 theirs nothing much too fight for
apart from the old crew shes the only one that you have a history with that has faith in you
everyone else u pick up is just there out of self interest
i dont know LOTSB just sort of grounds shep more like a reminder why to fight not in an overall sense but on a personal level and i feel the whole thing has more weight with a romanced liara
so now i have to start a new file from the start with the choices i like this DLC has changed the way im playing the ME saga looking back im now changing stuff
next thing u know ill be saving the god damn rachini

It is my first time I played this DLC and because of it I'm replay one of my Shepard's from all the levels ups from my first go and playing it on hard. It is a type of DLC that keep me on my toes.
I like both bosses fights (For now on I be careful with those vanguards) with the Shadow Broker he dose not like the Widowmaker. That scene with the space ship that is nice and fighting on it is extra nice.

I hope that future DLC's will be of this high calibre as the 800 points was definately well spent.

Liara is such a babe, and if you romanced her in ME1, your thoughts would be conflicting, hints of hatred, longing, and even despair.
Damn, I really need to romance my lady more often, hahaha!

Just wanted to put my $0.02 in here.......First of all, Thank you VERY much Bioware for making a fantastic DLC. Even though I didn't play ME1 to have a LI with Liara, the DLC was great. All six of my Shepard's have gone through LoTSB and not once was I bored repeating the game. I am getting a ME1 save file that does have a Liara Li, just to see how the game plays out.
I hope that future DLC's will be of this high calibre as the 800 points was definately well spent.

Note: Lair of the Shadow Broker is not compatible with Polish, Czech or
Hungarian versions of Mass Effect 2. We apologize for any inconvenience.
I've bought the game from online EA store and as far as I'm aware I have English Colletors Edition - so my question is: will Shadowbroker run with my version? Or the location is implemented even into this version?
Have anybody tested it or maybe can answer to my question?
I won't spare 800pts for something what I cannot run
Thanks in advance.

You CAN run the DLC even on the Polish version of the game(you just need to edit some config files and a registry entry). If you bought it on EA Store in English, then go get the DLC asap:)

I wasn't sure if I was just playing poorly or not remembering hardcore from the main game (this is my first attempt at insanity...now need to play the entire series through abjectly insane). I don't mind having to seek cover (sure go through medkits fast!) - that is much more realistic than some Gunfight at the OK Corral type fight where you are all facing down each other in the open and just blasting away. Real combat means taking cover and quick injury or death and I prefer the game to be as realistic as possible.
haha on insanity i can still run around and have fun in most battles for me insanity is not much harder that vetran and hardcore or is it because i am very skilled

First of all, i didn't buy the game on the EA Store,
Second, I got Collectors Edition
Third, there was error with distributor which caused that info on the box said that it contains both English and Polish version, but.... uhm... it didn't. There was no such option throughout the installation of the game and the only way to implement english version was to download english subs( if one wanted to ) and edit configs.
So the point is, i didn't install the game in English, becouse i couldn't. My game IS english, becouse of config manipulations.
(Not) Cheers.

Still, you can use the EA Downloader and install the English Version through it if you feel comfortable enough in English (i'm guessing here regarding your proficiency in english, no offense intended).Resheph_606 wrote...

That way it would be less of a hack-job with replacing files and editing configs.
Also, your Collectors Edition Extras would still be there.
