just wondering if the latest patch of ps3 firmware update 3.42 will give trouble again in dragon age origins and awakening?

Nope, no problems. I've installed firmware 3.42 and DA seems to run even better. Maybe this is due to the DA patch though.

My PS3 is seriously unhappy since trying to download patch 3.42--I'm getting a black screen/no video output no matter what I do or try. WTF.

played dao with firmware 3.42, seems ok, and much smoother this time, maybe because of the latest patch also for origins...

On the sony site hey are saying 3.42 messes w/ the HDMI outputs. You might want to try connecting with component cables...I was going to download Witch Hunt but I'm going to give Sony a few days on this one...hate these stupid updates.

well im 3.42 and there's no problem encountered, hdmi outputs is still ok... using old ps3 80 gig fat modell

The only thing 3.42 does is to prevent the new Jailbreak hack from working. It's a mandatory update and you will not be able to connect to PSN or accounts online before you update.

Running 3.42 and the 1.05 patch with HDMI and the witch hunt runs ok so far
