No offence to the guy at the support department you spoke, but I doubt he's really in a position to make that call. A glorified help-desk employee would not have information regarding a problem only the devs understand (and they haven't even found the cause yet, according to Chris). So, I hope to think you were just getting a generic answer, and that things will be resolved shortly.triplettt wrote...

Considering the current post-rate at this forum, I'm pretty sure it was just an automated mechanism to shut down under too heavy load. Besides, they wouldn't have to shut down the site to upload the new exe anyway (which, btw, is going to happen when exactly?).
When i talked to tech support they said wait 24-48 hours

It's not about being crazy or needing a shrink, it's about MONEY.
"Good" business practices should reward loyalty and investments, whether they're converted into "points" or not.
Are you saying you don't want a t-shirt? =P
I wouldn't mind an in-game compensation item, like a visor or something.
Yeah, when you turn it on you get to see the Matrix

I can't wait for the hilarity to ensue once these clowns are running a full-on MMO with the Star Wars name slapped on the box. I mean, you can't even deliver a single quest to a single player game without f*cking it up 5 times along the way. You're really in trouble once you do this with an MMO.

Seriously guys. You've screwed up almost EVERY SINGLE DLC YOU'VE EVER MADE. You would think that after - how many now? 20+? - you might have figured out how to place the actual game data in the file we download. I love your narratives, but it's plainly apparent you have no clue what you're doing on the technical front.

I don't get why some people are criticising others for feeling ripped off. It's money for no product, like when the kitchen takes 2 hours to make my steak I'm not a happy man and I'm even less happy when they don't even have the courtesy to acknowledge the delay. The difference here is they have my money already I can't just walk away as I could in a resteraunt
Are you really comparing computer programming to cooking?
If a chef screws up your meal it probably won't take too long to recook it and fix the issue. In this case depending on the error it could take hours. Just chill go download witch hunt and play that or play some other game. Alternatively just have a laugh on here and see the funny side. Laughter is way more fun than getting in a hissy fit over something that can't be helped.
