Hopefully this'll lead to Mass Effect 3 having a better DLC installer. The whole DLC setup for ME2 is just clunky and confusing, even when the DLC is functional.

You're right, i would prefer a better version of the DA dlc installer (without bugs...)

Nice to know I'm not the only one who can't get this DLC to work. Did Homer Simpson have the final approval to release this?

I never had any real issues with any Bioware game (and I own them all), so why don't we just relax a little, calm down and let them just fix it...

I can't believe that there are no infos or official statements from Bioware, I paid for this DLC and I am not playing right now.. This is such a shame, I mean come on, test things before release "null" files...

I don't get why some people are criticising others for feeling ripped off. It's money for no product, like when the kitchen takes 2 hours to make my steak I'm not a happy man and I'm even less happy when they don't even have the courtesy to acknowledge the delay. The difference here is they have my money already I can't just walk away as I could in a resteraunt

Are you really comparing computer programming to cooking?

If a chef screws up your meal it probably won't take too long to recook it and fix the issue. In this case depending on the error it could take hours. Just chill go download witch hunt and play that or play some other game. Alternatively just have a laugh on here and see the funny side. Laughter is way more fun than getting in a hissy fit over something that can't be helped.

Cheer up guys :D :

FWIW, I have the same issue on my Windows 7 64-bit system. I wonder where the beta testers were on this FUBAR?

Not to mention this should be expected on the Day 1 release of a DLC...

The rage is strong in this thread :) I suppose we*ll read about gunmen shooting people in the streets in the morning news...

Actually, that's exactly what's happening now on my computer. Since my LotSB download doesn't work, I bought the Mafia II DLC that was also released today. At least that company has their act together. Jimmy is going a little nuts out there with a Tommy Gun on the streets of Empire City righ about now, until he hears what's going on with this DLC.

I would think they alpha/beta test this before it goes out? I mean... WTF installer are they using to install on machines to test? Bad practices/policies etc.... Something else is going on, and we got the short end of the stick. I hope we get a good explanation soon... Cause dis some BS.

/me goes outside to play

It's just the installer.  They wouldn't release a product they've never tested before.
Patience kid.  At least your going outside to play.  Picking up an english textbook wouldn't hurt either.

How about go **** yourself?

I'm glad so many people are using 64-bit. The sooner everyone uses it the better.

Anyhow, I can also confirm I'm using Windows 7 64-bit and it doesn't work. I also opened the file in a hex editor and confirmed that the whole thing is null.

Why are people complaining about past releases? I've never had a problem with Biowares dlc up to this point. Problems occur on release days all the time and it happens to the best. Going all bloodrage over a DLC worth about 6 euros is just silly..

I'd agree with you if this was a Dragon Age DLC, but so far up to this recent DLC all the Mass Effect DLCs have been spot on.

However I agree about not freaking out about it.

No I am aware that the two are different my point is that unlike most other transactions DLC is purely one way, if I'm dissatisified with the service I cannot simply take my money back. The analogy is about the situation not how hard/easy coding is, again in a busy restaurant I can see there is a queue and I won't get served so I can shoose to join the queue or leave. Here Bioware haven't acknowledged the issue and are continuing to take money for something they're not actually selling. The decent thing would be to acknowledge the issue and suspend sales of the DLC, this way feels greasy "Cheers for your money, you can enjoy it whenever I get around to actually selling it"

I don't know what is taking BioWare so long, but the problem is obviously the fact that the DLC file on the server is filled with null bytes, they just need to re-upload it.

You should get some pills for that DLC rage and quit being a sulky sally.
