I would think they alpha/beta test this before it goes out? I mean... WTF installer are they using to install on machines to test? Bad practices/policies etc.... Something else is going on, and we got the short end of the stick. I hope we get a good explanation soon... Cause dis some BS.

/me goes outside to play

It's just the installer.  They wouldn't release a product they've never tested before.
Patience kid.  At least your going outside to play.  Picking up an english textbook wouldn't hurt either.

How about go **** yourself?

You're cute. You remind me of this one kid from high school who thought he was cool 'cause he knew how to use grown-up language.

You should get some pills for that DLC rage and quit being a sulky sally.

The kid needs some serious help.

I never had any real issues with any Bioware game (and I own them all), so why don't we just relax a little, calm down and let them just fix it...

Not to mention this should be expected on the Day 1 release of a DLC...

No, it shouldn't. The only thing I expect here is to pay BW my 800 carnie tickets, and in return I get DLC that works. If I came into your McDonald's and ordered a double cheeseburger. . . then you came out 2 hours later and told me I should just expect the delay, I'd probably punch you in the mouth. Repeatedly.

Now, I'm all for giving BW a pass, but this happens with every single DLC. Every one. If I gave the same "meh" attitude to my boss and continually handed in projects a day late, my ass would be fired.

Complaints about previous DLC just do not make sense. Previously they were clean and flawless.

Don't.  It's broken.  It doesn't work.

Don't bother downloading it again until there is a post by a dev. No need to waste your time.

ME2_ShadowBroker.exe

This version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computers's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.

So am I making contact, Mr. and Mrs. Publisher?

I should have known something was wrong with this installer when I saw that it was 500 MB smaller than the Xbox version.

I wonder if the upload to the content distribution mirrors got interrupted or some such. Whatever the case, there's no excuse for not pushing a new file up, verifying it, and posting an announcement.

Heck, I'd even be happy with an announcement acknowledging the problem, telling us what went wrong where and that they're working to fix it.

jkflipflopDAO is right. If people expected failure on day one, nothing would be bought or sold. I am willing to wait, but today is my only day off this week. I really want to play before i go back to work. I will be very disappointed if it doesn't work out that way.

Shouldn't you be in school? We're all adults here, or at least we act like an adult, nerd rage or not. You aren't the only one who is having to deal with this kid. So just finish your homework, drool over your current creepy teenage stalker ******-doll whose face you photoshoped onto Liara's body and call it a day. Hmm?

Why are people complaining about past releases? I've never had a problem with Biowares dlc up to this point.

Never had a problem with them either.

Problems occur on release days all the time and it happens to the best. Going all bloodrage over a DLC worth about 6 euros is just silly...

Gotta say, though, that it's pretty unprofessional that they bring something online and apparently no one ever bothered to test it. I also fail to see why it takes hours to just put the correct file online. Well, there's probably some issue with the distribution. But, as a courtesy to its customers, it would be nice if they at least disabled the link to the faulty executable.

I wonder how many people have done that since you said that. I bet at least one weirdo did it with Grunts face.

Much as this sucks, it could be worse. They will sort it. Are people really so impatient that they cannot wait a few poxy hours? They really ought to take the dodgy download down, though.

You mean like the firepower. . . oh wait we had to wait 3 days for BW to correct an HTML error on the website so we could download.  You must be talking about the Aegis pack. . . oh wait no that one had the all zero's bug, too.  Well. . . the appearance pack worked. . . oh schnapp I forgot that one had a corrupted installer for the first day.

Well, Zaeed worked flawlessly. Then again he was part of the original game before he was removed and placed in his own "pack"

A double cheeseburger doesn't require months to make and involve a lot of fine-tuning in which practically anything can go wrong right up to the moment they put it out on the counter.

I agree this sucks, but don't be a jerk about it.

Just trying to get a strayed youth back on track, that's all.

Sometimes you have to berate someone in order to see extreme results. Maybe he will acknowledge our words and learn from them, become a better human being and rage a little less.

Instead of killing someone with kindness we could kill them with education, grammar, and maturity.

I also realize my grammar is off too but English is my third language... so don't hate.

seems like a incompatibility between the installer and the operating system version.

I'm not saying it's a failure, just a bit of technical trouble. I mean jeez, think about a lot of other DLC's out there that've been released I'm sure a majority of them had at least a few quirks on the first day, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 being good examples.

So calm down, take a breather, go eat some food or something and take a chill pill? It's insane you make the developers put up with your complaints when they're hard at work fixing it and by god it will be fixed. So bah.
