seems like a incompatibility between the installer and the operating system version.

It is a 1.5GB file filled with zeroes.  It doesn't work for anyone, on
any version of Windows.  Redownloading will not help, it is broken until
further notice.

Complaints about previous DLC just do not make sense. Previously they were clean and flawless.

You mean like the firepower. . . oh wait we had to wait 3 days for BW to correct an HTML error on the website so we could download.  You must be talking about the Aegis pack. . . oh wait no that one had the all zero's bug, too.  Well. . . the appearance pack worked. . . oh schnapp I forgot that one had a corrupted installer for the first day.

Well, Zaeed worked flawlessly. Then again he was part of the original game before he was removed and placed in his own "pack"

Wasn't it the same with Kasumi? They charged us 560 points for a few extra files to add what was supposed to be there in the first place.

The real question now is whether they'll actually tell us when they go home for the day.

Why are people complaining about past releases? I've never had a problem with Biowares dlc up to this point.

Never had a problem with them either.

Problems occur on release days all the time and it happens to the best. Going all bloodrage over a DLC worth about 6 euros is just silly...

Gotta say, though, that it's pretty unprofessional that they bring something online and apparently no one ever bothered to test it. I also fail to see why it takes hours to just put the correct file online. Well, there's probably some issue with the distribution. But, as a courtesy to its customers, it would be nice if they at least disabled the link to the faulty executable.

Yeah that was the thing that got me is that it's painfully obvious that they didn't test it out first before release.  Hope it's a correctible error to the point that we don't have to wait another week.

Ok peeps, Please less flameing, Dont really wanna get this thread locked

Maybe it should.

With a message as soon as the file works fine. And lock all threads about it that'll spawn as a result. Just display a message like 'we're really sorry and we're bl00dy working on resoving it!!!!'

Less grief in the end for all involved.

Gonna grab some sleep now. Need some surplus stock of it when playing the working version. HAH! :D

This goes back to my previous point.
THe only thing wrong with the installer is that you downloaded 1.5GB of the number 0.
It has nothing to do with your computer.
It has to do with BioWare putting up the wrong install file.

Depends what the problem is. Lots of things can cause a corrupted installer file.

jkflipflopDAO is right. If people expected failure on day one, nothing would be bought or sold. I am willing to wait, but today is my only day off this week. I really want to play before i go back to work. I will be very disappointed if it doesn't work out that way.

I'm not saying it's a failure, just a bit of technical trouble. I mean jeez, think about a lot of other DLC's out there that've been released I'm sure a majority of them had at least a few quirks on the first day, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 being good examples.

So calm down, take a breather, go eat some food or something and take a chill pill? It's insane you make the developers put up with your complaints when they're hard at work fixing it and by god it will be fixed. So bah.

I think we all need a chill beer....

Anyone ever think that the Shadow Broker did it?

I mean Liara did say he was pretty powerful so I guess he would not want to be found. Even by us player - *Hurk*

Beer is good for everyone.. just drink it in moderation.

Hopefully when you kids get older, you will realize that beer is the nectar of the Gods (good beer anyway). Do not start your drinking endeavors with light, flavorless beer.

Aside from that, I think we can all agree that most of the people in here raging about faulty DLC need to relax a bit. The solution will get fixed. In the mean time, I'm sure you can find something else to do aside from typing profanity and pretending to be an internet bad ass.
