I didn't think of that, but plenty of internet services have download limits.  BioWare is going to have pissed a lot of people off if they can't download the DLC for another month because they went over their limit.

Everyone with the same problem should demand compensation from BioWare/EA, maybe then they'd finally learn. But as it is, they've got our money, so what, just let the customers wait.

You know you guys should be wary of your complaints. Bioware is pretty no-nonsense and they'll end up sending these guys after you.

Weird that the download is still available yet no word from BioWare. If they know there's a problem, the download should be removed. If it's there, it must be fixed, but then why no word from them?

There has been word, not much, but there has been word. They are apparently "looking into it".

Actually, we could certainly demand compensation right now. Not making a DLC availible at the correct time is one thing. Making a blank file availible that doesn't meet the qualifications of what you promised, and what people payed for, is something else entirely.

My only rant is that the DL link is still there and still linking to a 1.5gb exe instead of redirecting to a page that explains the technical issue and some form of update on what to expect. Even an embedded twitter window or a link to a forum support thread would suffice.



Fewer people would be wasting bandwidth if the link itself was changed in the meantime and fewer people would be asking what's going on if the changed link's page gave information about it... at least assuming everyone who opened such a page actually read it.

I've downloaded the file twice thinking the first time was a DL error. that;s 3gigs of bandwitdth wasted.  The file should've been fully tested before it was released to the public.

 I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit

They should not remove the link (that opens up a whole different can of worms); but replacing it with a link that says "The DLC is currently unavailable" or some such would be nice. Of course, then people don't buy it any more. Motive, Your Honor.

yes I to have had same issue downloaded this like 5x so far today good thing I have a 50megibit connection too bad they don't have the band with to give me 5meg a sec I top out at 1.4meg on there server which to me is kinda slow wait for a 1.5gig file. I just hope problem is fixed I can't put mass effect 2 down when there is new content to play. I can't wait for a next large DLC for this game hope the next one gets a better release with no issue

Oh no! Bioware sold me a file full of zeros after faking a DLC and now I must rage about being screwed over, and all their other software was bugged and broken, and I'm gonna sue them and sh!t

Theres nothing wrong with the DLC. They were hurried this morning with two DLC's to deliver. One of which had a corrupt installer file that they did not catch on to after uploading it. It's not like anybody thought "Hey let's wind them all up and post a fake file"

Wake up, you claim there is nothing wrong with the file. They why does it not install on 64bit Windows Vista and 7, and the same applies to 32bit Vista, 32bit Windows 7 and Windows XP. It is also known that the file is loaded with a bunch of zero's, instead the actuall content..

I've seen enough to know they should have waited to put this out for the PC.
