Well damn I downloaded it twice thinking the first was just bad luck, so I check here and find this thread, damn so annoying I was totally looking forward to playing it.

Guess there ain't anything else to do but wait for them to upload a working copy.

I was just saying something similar in a post above. It almost doesn't make any sense. I can understand the first error, but now this is turning into a comedy of errors. It's been how many hours that the community has known of this problem yet BioWare is still (as of this typing) directing people to download the file.

I'm starting to think this is the correct file and it's doing something else...

But a lot of you are being absolutely ridiculous, technology will break and humans will make errors. Simple facts of life that no amount of money or ****ing will fix.

You seem to think Bioware doesn't care that we have problems here but I'm pretty sure they do. None of them want to inconvenience the fans, none of them are amused by having to spend more time fixing things.

Some of them are probably unhappy that they haven't got to play it themselves.

You accept that humans make errors.

Can you also accept that people complain when they don't get their way?  Especially on the internet.

Yes, BioWare screwed up.  Yes, it was probably an easy to miss, accidental error.

No, that does not mean we're going to shut up about it.  We are frustrated and bored, and to alleviate those problems, we are going to continue ranting and whining.  Welcome to the internet.  Deal with it.


EDIT:  Old download file pulled.  No more people will start downloading the empty file.

From the link ald0s posted (social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/103/index/4713002), it seems like BW is working on a fix, but it's just a bit sloppy to leave an active download link up like that with no explanation other than in a forum thread that has no ties to the download page. If I was still in school, my web professor would have ripped me a new one if I had done something similar on my project sites.

well you can buy witch hunt, just do it from inside the game, worked for me and i was able to play it

Sucks... Waiting isn't really a problem for me, although not being able to delete both downloads (did it twice to make sure not corrupted). Every time I try and delete the .exe, its keeps saying its being used by another program... its not, and I would really like to clear up 3 Gigs of space!



Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?
