You probably still have the old download in your Downloads folder. Delete it then re-download.

I'm encountering some problems. first, there are invisible walls on the platform before you enter the building when you go looking for Liara and her contact. Then, after leaving the building, I cannot seem to get to what I assume will be the skycar chase. I get a long loadingsymbol/frozen screen on a edge of a car, then just me, able to walk around the platform in front of the building with nothing to interact with and no Liara and no way to advance.
Any suggestions on how I can fix this?
Vista 32 bit.

Oh epic. I let it download overnight and came back this morning to have to download it again. 3 more hours now. That puts my Witch Hunt dlc on hold too since it wasn't out yet when I went to bed.
It better work. I use Windows 7 x64.

For those of you getting the "cannot communicate with Mass effect 2 server etc etc please login with account used to purchase DLC" Have you tried actually logging in? I was having the same issue until I noticed the little connect button on the right console on the starting screen, whereupon I logged in and the DLC now seems to be working fine.

Alright I've completed step 1 installing the DLC. Hopefully it doesn't crash my computer when I try running Mass Effect now.

I wish mine worked. The DLC has borked up the game so much that I can't get more than maybe ten minutes of gaming in before it freezes, disappears or crashes entirely.

Well I beat it. No glitches.
All I did was dowload the DLC, but I didn't download it on my computer. I just chose to "run" it rather then "save" it. After it downloaded I allowed access and then it took a little bit before it began installing. After the install I ran Mass Effect and my Cerberus connection had been severed. I logged back in and loaded up the latest save and it was there.
That's what I did anyway. Probably doesn't help, but that was my process through it.

Still seems to be broken. Just sits and uses 100k of memory, and I think I saw a 16bit error somewhere. Oh, and WinRAR is giving it a 99-100% compression Ratio, so I guess I have one with all the zeroes. >.>
Gonna try one more time, then I'm waiting a week. Don't have the quota to keep doin' this.

i think this incident should teach bioware a lesson, that not all their fans are friggin console douches... stop trampling on PC gamers for a change, thinking we're less important. god i hate this ****ing Consolism/Activisionism douchebaggery. it's killing decent gaming with ****ty console ports. so annoying!
I personally don’t think they will begin developing for PC then porting to console for a couple reasons. The main reason is money. Console games tend to sell more and at a higher price than their PC conterparts. It is more economical to satisfy the bigger consumer base. The other main reason is the hardware, software, and input limitations and differences of the Xbox and PC platforms. It is easier to develop a game for the Xbox because every Xbox console has the same basic hardware and firmware. Games developed for PC have to account for the countless hardware and software configurations that are possible which takes a lot more time and money to test and work out bugs and support when things go wrong. Combine this with the fact that they sell for less than their Xbox equivalents and it is easy to see which one has the greater potential profit margin.
Don’t get me wrong. I too would love to see more and better games developed with the PC hardware and interface in mind, but the only way that is going to happen is if sales of PC games increases.
Oh and...DOWN WITH XBOX!!! LONG LIVE PC GAMING!!!

Eactly and good points. I don't know about down with console gaming as it does work better for many styles of games, esecpially fighters and the online component. The fact that the graphics window is narrowed also is a contributor. I expect the next gen of consoles to really take off with even betteer graphics. I don't see PC games slowly going away though, they will be around for a long time to come as long as there is a demand for it. While I prefer PC gaming, I like the consoles as well.
