I'm not too fond of the short hair however (unless it suits a character), so hopefully there are some longer options.

I know it's probably just the angle, but I can't get over that chin.
No angle makes that thing attractive.

If you are a straight man and didn't think "Man, I'd like to introduce her to Mike Hawke", you may wish to reconsider your priorities!
Er, she's not anything special dude, expecially given the fact all you see is a lousy angle of her face and that's it.
I agree completely, i can't figure out what the hell is going on with people on this forum.

Personal taste. That is what's going on.

100% correct. I'm pretty well positive any one of the critics of the look of the default female hawk could post what they think is just the best looking face on a woman known to man and some people would go 'blech'. For some reason a select few can't figure this out.

Bioware made the default Hawke for advertising. Remember how frustrated people were that they couldn't play the Blur trailer Warden...yeah that's why. So those of us who will play as female Hawke wanted to know how comparable in design would the she be to her male counterpart.

I'm an artist and when I look at her I know exactly what I will change, and frankly, it won't be much.

I figure that's maybe the best (or at least better) look for a warrior Hawke. Rogue or Mage? Customize as you see fit.

The important thing is we have a good starting point when it comes to her basic features. You want an example of a bad starting point? Just think of the character models in Oblivion.

omg..........the face models in Oblivion were horrid!! (well horrid compared to the ones in Origins....lol). and I played on the PS3, so no chance of using mods.
Lady Hawke's default model is 100X better than the ones in Oblivion.
If we can make changes to the default Hawke model, without losing the detail, or if the other in-game templates are just as good, then I'll be a happy camper!

Btw: A battle hardened soldier probably isn't going to look like a super model. She looks tough and like she'll kick your ass if you mess with her. I like it.

Well, when I posted about the unflattering angle and her chin I was called a troll. Now more and more people have the same impression. So, am I still a troll?

You were never a troll, but the "double chin" comment could be seen as inflammatory. I made a comment about her jaw the third post in and no one called me a troll.

Absolutely gorgeousOnly one tiny issue though and yes its a dumb one... i hope she doesn't have that tiny ponytail that was rumored to be on the back of that gorgeous hairt cut
I was just thinking the same exact thing.
She looks great. Not super feminine yet not super masculine, seems to be what a lot of people were asking for.
She just doesn't have the beard.
