Can someone explain to me what that metal thing in front of her is? I heard someone say a book holder before and laughed, I could seriously imagine that...

I want to know what the poofy thing beside it is. It looks kinda like a dead crow...

It's a fur pelt, same as Male Hawke has.

Miss Hawke looks great. :)

If that's an indication what you can do with the character creator then I am in awe.

Edit: Probably not. Still a very cool face. B)

I really like this first picture of Lady Hawke, its quite impressive! It really shows not just that Lady Hawke is finally getting the attention that she deserves, but that the whole graphics system seems to be really superior to the first game, where of course the female PCs can definitely be attractive, but nothing reaching this new level of awesomeness. Hopefully as time goes on we'll see plenty more pictures of Lady Hawke, a trailer, etc. Certainly she's much better looking than the male version! Three cheers for Lady Hawke!

Seems like hawke , without the beard, very manly, the jaw is definitevely a male jaw. I expect a female/female romance for that character, would make sense.

Well, from what I have heard & seen - we will still be able to change face, hair and so on, just like in Origins. And I don't see why people keep saying she looks manly...? Of course, she doesn't look like a girly girl, but that's just a good thing (bit like me). :) She has all my respect. I got nothing against the Male Hawke, but I prefer Lady Hawke.

My first impression of our default LadyHawke is clearly not as positive as that of most people posting in this thread. But I remember when I first played Origins I didn't like Morrigan's looks either and when I tried to change them with a mod, I had to go back to default because I missed her face. I will definetly go with a custom ladyHawke for my first time through the game. But I plan on doing one run for each class in each gender (3x2) and maybe I will give her a try as my female warrior and maybe I'll have the same effect as with Morrigan in Origins.

But for now I'd rather have a closer look on that Qunari screenshot, which I think is truly amazing, then on the one with default LadyHawke.

LadyHawke does not have a giant jawline. Whether or not you think the angle is the greatest, you might want to keep in mind that it is an angle-- you're looking at her from a sightline that is slightly below her chin level. Everyone's jaw would look similar from that angle, so I wouldn't read so much into it.

Wait, I forget who I'm talking to. Image IPB

I think she looks good, myself. Feminine without being girly. I find the blue eyes a bit mesmerizing.

As for those asking if you can edit her default appearance, I'm not actually sure. Our appearance customization options haven't come online yet, so I'm not certain what the plan is.

A lovely poll about how you like (or don't like) Lady Hawke's appearance.

GFT.

:bandit: Even the blurry Pax pictures show that she doesn't have a massive jaw.

Then why would "you" (I mean Bioware) publish such a screenshot? I mean the screenshot is specifically meant to show us Femhawke, right? Or are the graphic of the environment not presentable and that's the reason why you have to look in the sky with the camera? ;)

The screenshot is mostly like produced to advertise - not necessarily to show Lady Hawke in the most flattering angle possible.

Ah okay....WAIT, wouldn't I show something in the most flattering angle possible, when I want to advertise it? :D
That was exactly my point. ;)

I actually have to say the best part about the Lady Hawke picture is further proof that Dragon Age 2 will have better default hairstyles, and I mean that in the manliest way possible.

I did wonder why Bioware would release something which is obviously at an unflattering angle rather than the standard level shot or even the flattering above shot (oh yes such technical terms I'm using, but frankly I only remember the theory not all the names). But she still looks great, which just means she looks supercalifragelistic... no I wont degrade myself... so basically she must look totally beautiful normally. Least her eyes aren't like cassandra's..

My guess would be they wanted something cinematic, and with out darkspawn blood covering her face.

Finally! Some good looking main characters. Both Hawke's are gorgeous compared to the Sheps.

Vanderloo looks much more handsome with hair. The Warden's were always rather plain. Perhaps it's the art style

Likely the guy who took the screenshot for us isn't as fussy about jaws from an angle.

Honestly, in DA:O, it was very easy to get the male characters to look deformed.
