Wonder what Vanguard against Vanguard goes like.

I did that my first playthrough. Essentially, it's challenging but not impossible if you're using something like the geth plasma shotgun that can work at a somewhat farther distance than the claymore but with similar POOOOWWEEERRRR!
It really does give you a taste of your own medicine. You charge towards her and she charges away.

I had a BLAST chasing that lousy traitor around the battlefield!  Her taunts were particularly enjoyable, since I'd charge right into her face and smash her with the Claymore right after she'd say them.

Overall, it kind of felt like this... edited for clarity... a cookie to whomever catches the reference. Posted Image

'She tasks me! She tasks me, and I shall have her! I'll chase her round the Moons of Nibia, and round the Antares Maelstrom, and round perdition's flames before I give her up!

The end of the battle was pretty funny, because Liara caught her in a singularty and I biotically charged her right off the roof.  Suddenly, there she is in the cutscene! Posted Image

I loved sniping the SB with the widow sniper rifle LOLz it kept knocking him back and he would lower his sheild so I could snipe em again

very fun fight on hardcore with a infiltrator

Yeah, the shield he was carrying really showcased an infiltrators unique skillset. Lots of cloak flanking.

I cannot wait to fight her Vanguard vs. Vanguard. Ran it first on my sentinel. The SB was an easy fight by comparison.

Although I would love to have the arm shield he pulled out on me. Would rock on a Vanguard. Deploy shield, get into range, biotic charge then a shield bash melee attack to finish the combo.

To be honest, it feels like an overkill most of the time. But I'm okay with that! ;)

Best in ME franchise easy. Broker was disappointing although they had good ideas because it was too easy. He could use some combat drones to annoy us and make it harder or move himself around some more.

I played LotSB on Insanity.

Both bosses were fun but not really hard.
Oddly enough the only thing that gave me trouble was the guys before the Vasir encounter. Those guys can flank! Enemy AI felt much better in this DLC

Ahaha, I did the exact same thing. Thought it was fitting end for her.
It was a goo fight. Damm tough to get these barriers down. Loved the dialoghue afterwards, too.
Vasir ftw, though I do hope we finally meet a friendly spectre in ME3 (nihilous doesn't count, he was just in the tutorial mission).

Totally awesome !! In comparison, beating the SB was boring...

When the asari charged and sprayed me with the Vindicator I couldn't believe it...

No doubt, best boss fight ever.

Agreed -- with one change. The enemies didn't flank so much as the level designers. You'd find a safe place to hunker down and engage and some platform would land right behind you. Keeping your squaddies alive -- since they don't have the best programing and becasue pathfinding is stil a tough problem in computer gaming -- was a real challenge.

I think Christina did say something about improving the AI for both Liara and the baddies in her recent statement.

Yah I LOVED the fight with Vasir. She was frickinn tough, considering she was already wounded and lost like a million gallons of blood. I don't want to fight her when she's in perfect shape, lol!

Really fun though, I really enjoyed it.

I agree with Vasir being a better fight than Bowser. I always wondered what it would be like to fight a Vanguard, and going in I was totally expecting Vasir to be like Captain Enyala - just an upgraded "grunt" that spams Warp. Thus, I shat myself when she started charging.

It was actually a really tough fight - Vasir's Charge (instant shield strip) +Vindicator burst+Shockwave combination actually kills my Infilitrator on Insanity. From then on, I just med-kit'd everytime she charged. It blows that the tactical cloak doesn't protect you from Vasir's charge - I'd be running around cloaked and she would hit me mid-stride, which I thought was kinda bull.

But yes, here's hoping to fighting more enemies in ME3 that Charge/Adrenaline Rush/Cloak. Harbinger should have been charging in ME2, IMO...or casting singularities or something.

Yeah. I noticed that the enemy was behaving very differently this time.
And I thought there was few room for improvements in ME2 combat. Makes me wonder what to expect in ME3. :)

Cloak flanking not necessary if you're an engy.  Just power up a drone and it appears behind him.  Naturally he turns around to face the drone and his fancy shield is useless as I shoot him in the back.

Yeah, fully in agreement here.

Hmm I actually did not see her charging away towards me but *away* from me. Maybe that was why fighting her as a Vanguard was so fun. Total dominance on showing her who was the boss of biotic charge. :police:

Maybe Vasir's armor was the new iteration of Colossus from ME1 (Colossus XXI maybe!). But less disco looking. It was my favourite fight of the ME series so far, and certainly the one where using charge made the most sense. As someone else said, playing Vanguard made it into a crazy chase across the plaza.

Brilliant.

The near-death dialogue added to the overall excellence. I loved that she wasn't renegade, just Renegade if you know what I mean. And calling me out about Akuze and Cerberus was an excellent final dig.

The problem is that she does that even if you aren't a sole survivor.  (and even if you are a SS, it doesn't matter whether or not you've done Tombs' mission.)

Vasir is as much a traitor as Shepard is;

Shep. uses the resources of a terrorist organization for a greater goal , same does Vasir

Even if you cut all ties with Cerberus, you took their help (ship, crew, info) and used it

Vasir blows things up ? well some of us sacrificed lives to save the Council ship in a retrospective, same thing

The only difference , well she chose the wrong side and went against Shep.

I for one would want to WORK with a fellow Sceptre once, not kill them all the time

Yeah the boss fight was very cool, and like many said when she did the first Vanguard charge, my mouth was wide open. It was also great to finally meet another Specter, too bad we had to kill her. Please devs give us a Specter squad mate in ME3.

My friend and I had a disscussion and we both agree Garrus would probably become a Spectre half way in the ME3 game.

The only difference is, Shepard doesn't act like a complete and utter b***h. Or, well, at least mine doesn't...

I agree it's a good fight, but the main difficulty lies in her having a crazy amount of health/protection.
