I'm going for the "The hard way" achievement, and this is making it impossible for me, since every time I speak to her, although my game is set to hardcore, it always resets to casual as soon as I finish the conversation with Liara.

Well crap.

Thought I'd fixed it by toggling between hardcore and insanity - but as soon as I got out of the skycar - it set itself to casual AGAIN. AAAARGH, this is infuriating. I've restarted so many times it's turning my most longed for DLC into my most HATED DLC.

Okay - 100% confirmed even restarting and resetting the difficulty won't fix this.



Every time a new section starts it sets the difficulty to casual. Which is annoying as I went back and restarted each section from the autosave, resetting it to hardcore before playing it through, and still failed to get the achievement.

Any updates on this? I'd really like to get this achievement someday.

Any word on this being fixed? I just completed arrival and it managed to keep my difficulty on hardcore all the way through. But every time I reload any pre-shadow broker saves, the difficulty always switches to casual when I speak to Liara...
