Dragon Age 2 Hints from Witch Hunt

*SPOILERS FOR BOTH WITCH HUNT AND DA2*
When Ariane is telling you about the mirror that was broken, and about the clan who found it (I didn't play a Dalish in Origins so I don't know how that conversation goes), she says that after the two young hunters disappear/die, the clan left Ferelden and went north.
Does this mean that it is perhaps that same clan that Flemeth refers to when she asks you to take the package to a clan of Dalish?
I can't decide if I want to replay a Dalish playthrough because of that or an Amell playthrough because of Hawke's mother's maiden name.

I just...this is very...I mean...this just sucks for anyone who didn't romance Morrigan.
Pretty much. But Morrigan was the only one epilogue without real closure. Everything else had the Warden going off, possibly with a lover or friends, and doing stuff.
You're right--this does provide closure, and I'm happy for all you Morrimancers. But, at the same time, Awakening ends with this gigantic "And then you disappeared!", and now everyone else doesn't get any closure. Besides that, this is the last DLC. It's the end of the Wardens story, and it just sort of feels like a love story for Morrigan and the Warden.
Also, I'm grateful to find out why the hell Dog wasn't with me at Awakening. Evidently he was getting his freaky on.

Not really. There is still drunk Alistair.
DA:2, the drunken saga continues.

The good thing here is that there are no important decisions in Witch Hunt. So I'm just going to import from Awakening.
Walking into the mirror with Morrigan to be with my (bugged) child isn't important?
Not for DA2 since there is no save after you talk to Morrigan. /shrugs

I have always felt that it was made that way, even before the DLC.
Boy gamers come first. This is truth in Bioware-land.

this is weird. the first time I got my bugged ending, the ending credits riolled. The second time I tried to see if it "unbugged", not even the credits showed off. I appeared instantly at the start screen

People said the same for the Boon ending not registering and such, yet they did.

The way I took it was that witch hunt was an end of dlc for Origins and resolved one of the plotlines left over from Origins -- where was Morrigan and what was she doing.
I'm not sure what Bioware is going to do with the numerous disappearance epilogues in Awakening, but we can always find out in future games. I remember Laidlaw mentioned in one of the interviews that Hawke will continue to have a role in the world post-DA:2, I don't see why that wouldn't be the same for the Warden.

Yes, of course, but this is the last time we play as the Warden. It just seems like a bitter send-off to people who didn't romance Morrigan.

Except they didn't resolve it, not in the slightest. I'm sorry to keep ranting about this, but it really gets me that Mass Effect got a great, polished DLC on the same day that Dragon Age got this steaming pile of mabari droppings. You'd think they could've put more effort in.

That's quite lame if you ask me.
They supported the game, yes. But the DLC was rather lacking, most of it was over in an hour, consisted in recycled environments and had almost no dialogue at all.
Almost forgot:
Stupid companions. They die in a second. That's why the Harvester was difficult, not because it was an all-mighty beast.

And the sad thing is, at best we'll get answers to them in DA3 whenever Morrigan shows back up, seeing as she isn't in DA2.

Yeah, I don't even know how much this DLC sets up DA2 besides getting a new POV on Flemeth. Hell, I want to learn more about Mirror World- its supposedly beyond the Fade? I enjoyed the DLC, but it really didn't answer very many questions at all and really only heaped more questions on.

" The Warden heads into the forest to find out and tie up this last loose end once and for all."
That is how they are advertising this DLC. Tie up the loose end? Really, Bioware, really?

Actually, I've heard LotSB is extremely buggy as well.

Given the statements from Bioware about how Flemeth is important to the whole series I'm not surprised at that. I'm just happy we can get a happy ending for the Warden if you romanced Morrigan.Chaia wrote...
That pretty much sums up the DLC, which is kinda annoying as they made a big thing about getting answers answered on the website, and the only question I got answered is which gender is the child, infact I came away from the DLC with more questions (mainly about what the heck Flemeth is) then answers.
***SPOILER***
As craptastic as this 'epic conclusion' is, I hardly think walking into 'whatever' with Morrigan is a happy ending. Dagger to the belly and back to Leliana...now that's a story book ending. WTH is this gift of great importance anyhow? Or is this just a cliffhanger for those of us not out to bed the disembodied voice of Claudia Black to bite into?

But the walking into 'whatever' with your lover at your side and your child waiting on the other side, facing an unknown future? That seems like a story ending to me.

Well, according to the Easter Bunny...
I mean.
With Witch Hunt, I kept my expectations low, as I suspected I would be dissapointed, and it seems that it was, once again, false advertisement. Still, I haven't downloaded it, it's really slow, and still in 5% after almost four hours.
Do you mean Dragon Age 2 release dates, Saibh?
