That pretty much sums up the DLC, which is kinda annoying as they made a big thing about getting answers answered on the website, and the only question I got answered is which gender is the child, infact I came away from the DLC with more questions (mainly about what the heck Flemeth is) then answers.

Given the statements from Bioware about how Flemeth is important to the whole series I'm not surprised at that. I'm just happy we can get a happy ending for the Warden if you romanced Morrigan.

***SPOILER***
As craptastic as this 'epic conclusion' is, I hardly think walking into 'whatever' with Morrigan is a happy ending. Dagger to the belly and back to Leliana...now that's a story book ending. WTH is this gift of great importance anyhow? Or is this just a cliffhanger for those of us not out to bed the disembodied voice of Claudia Black to bite into?

While that's a little vicious, I still laughed.

Yes, for anyone who didn't romance Morrigan, this pretty much sucks. Maybe it's a secret ploy to get us to hate the Warden and only want to play Hawke, I dunno.

Spoiler warning.

So, there was no post game save for witch hunt. How will I import my epic Morrigan-slaying into future DA games. I can't, which makes me believe that witch hunt is the end of Morrigan as well as the warden. The Old God Baby may make a return, but this looks like Morrigan's last hurrah.

Unless Bioware are just being thick.

I romanced Morrigan (and did the DR) but none of the dialogue options allowed me to go through the mirror with her. Oh well, I was hoping my Warden would disappear into an alternate dimension forever.

Hmmmm...
Well, there was no save after Awakening, or Golems, and all the other DLC.

*Spoilers*

But the walking into 'whatever' with your lover at your side and your child waiting on the other side, facing an unknown future? That seems like a story ending to me.

It definitely worked for me. Obviously not recognizing the DR put a huge damper on it, but at least it still recognized the romance. I loved the last scene. At first I thought I wished he would have at least looked back at Finn/Ariane, and maybe gotten a reaction shot from one of them, or maybe have a chance to at least get Ariane the book before leaving, but in retrospect...I kinda like that everything else sort of fades away and he doesn't look back. He's got his Morrigan, he's done enough, he's out of here. That part of it was immensely satisfying.

Though I can definitely see why it wouldn't be to people who didn't romance her.

There were no major choices in Golems or other DLC, and Awakening autosaved after all major decisions had been made. Witch hunt doesn't even let you save after talking to Morri. The credits just roll immediately after the cutscene. It looks like you won't be able to import your decision there, which means it probably doesn't matter to future games. And if the decision to kill Morrigan doesn't matter in future games, she probably won't return.

*spoilers*

But you don't kill her, you attack her and she still falls in the portal (although severly wounded).

I guess, but why would they let you try and kill her and fail?

*SPOILERS*

So, about that DA 2 little beast...how was the fight against the Valterral?

Was it difficult or you can bring down the creature easily? The companions...do they suck like the dwarves and golem of Golems of Amgarrak or do they actually help you?

*Spoiler*
Oh, I romanced her and performed the DR on another char, ran him through really fast to see what the romance ending looked like (sad you can finish it in like 45 min if you space bar the dialog and know where to go...). At any rate, it was a little touching...and by a little I mean a mere shadow of what was concocted in the original. I'm not bashing it (well I am a little) but It just doesn't feel right...it sad when you are watching the credits and thinking "I think Black has about 30 lines of dialog with all the different options I chose...seriously? She got out of bed for that?  There were points that impressed me however, NPC's mentioning the ring I still wore, Morrigan bringing up old arguments...ect.

I totally see your point though. This DLC really only appeals to two audiences. The audience who really got wrapped up in the Morrigan love story and wanted a happy (if totally vague) ending. Or the audience who wants to gut shank Morrigan. I was on the fence before but after seeing this wholly rushed DLC I'll settle for the later.

You can follow her?! I tried my best to see if i can follow but she was like "You betrayed me you betrayed me!"

SPOILER.

My Warden was like "I'm not leaving you again." and she was like "You don't know what you're asking.." and I told her I would be with her no matter what. Warden / Morrigan kissed and walked into the mirror together.

And yet all I got was some lousy book.

You know that one Morrigan banner, "I romanced Morrigan and all I got was this lousy forum"?

I think they should strike it from existence and the rest of us should get "I bought Witch Hunt and all I got was some lousy book." :D

We will never play as the god baby. In witch hunt Morrigan identified the kid as "he". Bioware ALWAYS lets us pick the gender of the main character. The best OGB can hope for is a supporting role.

Oh, I know that god baby boy will never be a protagonist, but i'd definetly LOL if he was a romancable companion in DA3.

Ummmm I Wonder if Flemeth is realy Andraste???

Somebody said that Flemeth could also be one of the magaster's that tainted the golden city but i doubt that cause she state even the blight threatens her.

She's too old to be Andraste. She might be an Old God.

EDIT: Actually, I'm not sure if she is...when did Flemeth first appear in legends? Before or after Andraste? I think maybe after...?

But can you trust the Chantry's story? I assume the Tevinter Magisters did exist (and it's interesting if you consider Flemeth to possibly be one of them) but the whole story seems to be created to put mages down under the Chantry's thumb. It creates a bad image of magic as a whole and when the common citizen is against mages, who's to argue what happens to them?

I'm not sure what Bioware is going to do with the numerous disappearance epilogues in Awakening, but we can always find out in future games. I remember Laidlaw mentioned in one of the interviews that Hawke will continue to have a role in the world post-DA:2, I don't see why that wouldn't be the same for the Warden.

Gaider implied in one of his PAX chats that we haven't seen the last of the Warden in the series.

Not gonna happen. They would have to voice the warden, and importing their appearance into a future game with a vastly modified (if not completely different) engine would be a major issue. We might hear about the warden's activites, but don't expect them to show up as an NPC.
