I'm not sure what Bioware is going to do with the numerous disappearance epilogues in Awakening, but we can always find out in future games. I remember Laidlaw mentioned in one of the interviews that Hawke will continue to have a role in the world post-DA:2, I don't see why that wouldn't be the same for the Warden.

Gaider implied in one of his PAX chats that we haven't seen the last of the Warden in the series.

Not gonna happen. They would have to voice the warden, and importing their appearance into a future game with a vastly modified (if not completely different) engine would be a major issue. We might hear about the warden's activites, but don't expect them to show up as an NPC.

Why not?
We can expect anything from Bioware. I certainly hope that the Warden returns somehow.

If you romanced both Lel and Morrigan, does going through the mirror option glitch.

I don't see why either of these are issues. We never hear the Warden speak in Origins, and ME2 retext'ed our imported characters.

SPOILERS just in case

I'm glad I didn't get the bug a lot of people seem to have gotten. I am absolutely satisfied with this DLC I loved the ending because it is the exact ending for the Morrigan story that I wanted (well actually I wanted my kid back but gutting Morrigan was very satisfying).

It also did a nice job making me more hyped for DA2 thanks to morrigans words about Flemeth.

ME2's graphics were very similer to ME1. DA2 has a new artstyle and promises to be very graphically different from Origins. And I think adding a voice to my voiceless protagonist, especially if their an NPC,  would be very lame.

Why would it be lame?
I mean, Samus was a silent character, yet she finally got a voice in Other M, and many fans like it.
I would love to hear the voice of my Warden.

I guess thats a matter of opinion, but I would still be very suprised if Bioware pulled this one on us. It would be a polarizing decision, to say the least.

Uh, please no. You had to choose a soundset, but that was mostly for tactic purposes. I don't want to hear what they think my Warden sounds like--worst of all, to give him/her speaking lines is to give him/her a personality. They can't judge what you were like with personality trackers, as they're going to do in DA2. I don't want them to assume my Warden would say or do this or that in any situation.

I also just don't like it when what my Warden does is taken out of my control. Disappearing is fine, I suppose, but I don't want to hear exactly what they believed to be a worthy cause--plenty of people are selfish prats and would prefer to rule a kingdom.

Yeah, it wouldn't bother me if exactly what happened to the Warden after this DLC was left to the imagination.  Not all gaps need to be filled in.

By the way...does anyone have an idea about what does or does not trigger the infamous bug at the end of this DLC?  I was all set to play, but now I'm having second thoughts (as in, should I wait for a patch?) because having Morrigan not remember what you did correctly seems like something that's just too important to mess up on.  I mean...it affects what made me want to play it in the first place.Image IPB  I don't want Morrigan to kvetch about me betraying her when I never did any such thing.

No, it leads to the Baldur's Gate D&D universe! Expect epic confusion about stats, levels, and classes as the two systems combine!

So far it seems to me anyone who didn't romance Morrigan is getting this bug, by my understanding. Did anyone who did receive this bug?

I was under the impression it was the exact opposite. The bug is that Morrigan thinks you turned down her ritual even if you did it. No ritual, no bug.

I read in the other forum a claim that some people who romanced Morrigan got the bug (IIRC) although of course I can't verify that.Image IPB

I'm thinking I'll wait this one out a bit, until a patch comes or I get impatient.  I may just have to bite the bullet and listen to the game act like I did something I didn't do.

Samus was one character. The Warden is:
Dwarf Female.
Dwarf Male.
Human Male.
Human Female.
Elf Female.
Elf Male.

I also hated Other M's voice for Samus, extremely dull and monotone... she also happens to never shut up.

Still, the Warden seems important enough, considering he (can a female Warden go with Morrigan?) can go through the portal mirror with Morrigan and do who knows what with her. What goes on beyond that mirror, though, remains to be seen (basically, Bioware can say whatever they want because he is out of eyesight and they are "technically" in another dimension).

Technically, it would be EXTREMELY difficult to voice all of those options, but consider this: THE FINAL BATTLE AND YOU MUST CHOOSE BETWEEN FIGHTING AS THE WARDEN OR HAWKE!!!!!
*wishful thinking, I know!*

So this thread is no longer about DA2 hints?

Anyway did anyone else see the book in the library that mentioned the symbol on Cass's armor (the eye in the sun)?

It doesn't say a whole lot but I was excited to see it anyway. That and the Harry Potter joke and the Anders mention.

The Anders mention made me crack up. That was great. I wonder, did anyone get any different dialogue if they were a mage or a Dalish elf?

Anders is so great. So were Finn and Ariane (is that her name? I forget). I hope we see them again.

Of course, that simply means that the "Dark Ritual" flag is never raised for anyone--I call it a bug across the board because it always applies. It's like the King Alistair glitch--if you made him king, you don't notice that what you did is not particular to your instance.

The people who romanced Morrigan and did the DR seem to have it working--at least better than those who didn't romance her.

Mage gets a few extra lines and I'd say the Dalish Elf aswell.
