I brought it (PC) and now don't even see it showing up on my DLC page to allow me to download it... I hate the way there are no direct links to buying things - took me 30 minutes just to figure out how to buy it once I had my Bioware points upgraded (and now I can't even find that link again). What a mess!

just now from that same forum:

Chris Priestly wrote...

People using Xbox Live for the Xbox 360 can download and play Lair of the Shadowbroker. If you are an Xbox 360 user, please go ahead and enjoy the new DLC.

PC users currently are experiencing a technical issue with the downloaded file that prevents ALL PC users from playing the DLC. We are aware of this issue and have taken the following steps:

# We have removed the incorrect file from the download section so no further incorrect downloads will occur

# We are working on a fix for the issue and will get a working file up for PC users ASAP

More detail

If you downloaded the incomplete file (it is essentially 15 Gig of zeroes) this will not harm your system

You will NOT be charged again once the correct file is ready for download

We do not have a more accurate eta for the correct PC DLC, but when we do I will let you know.

As soon as we have more information I will post it here. We are sorry that this occured and we appreciate your patience as we work to get the fix to you.

FYI, Christina, as much as I normally love your posts (and I do, you give out tons of great info), this goes way beyond "issues".  Something we payed for has turned out to be 1.5 gigabytes of trash data.  And this time it isn't isolated to particular systems, it's every PC user.  That is much worse than mere "issues".

It's not just "trashed" data - it's 1,6GB of "zeros". That's why it doesn't work, and that's why the OS doesn't matter.

1.5 gig of zeroes is trash data.  It's not just no data, if it was, there would be nothing to download, beyond basic name and filetype.

This is actually using and allocating 1.5 gig of memory for data that is completely worthless.

Just re-linked to the purchase page and now I don't even see this DLC listed anymore (even though I see other ones I have and a few that I don't). Did they withdraw it because it wasn't working?

Still , that's all very odd. For one, they should have the PC_Main file (sans Installer) lying around. Second, how hard and time-consuming can it actually be to re-link that data to a functional PC installer and re-up it ?

Now, Cry Havoc let loose the conspiracy theorists !

Well it's not as simple as just dragging a file to an installer and done. They need to figure out why the install file was corrupted and then start over avoiding the same programming error. It all depends what caused the issue in the first place.

Yes, I skimmed over it as well because it had 64 bit in title, rather irrelevant to 32 bit systems, no?

The error message in 64 bit systems states that the problem is a compatability issue, hence the original assumption that the problem was with 64 bit.  In actuality, the problem is a corrupted installer file, and it doesn't work on any system.

Amen. lol

Does anyone see it listed on this ME2 DLC page? http://social.bioware.com/page/me2-dlc

Cause I sure don't - after attempting to buy it with my BW points... It was there before, then poof - suddenly gone (along with my money?). I have no idea if my attempted transaction went through or not? Looked good, then bounced back to this page after I confirmed the purchase - and the new DLC was missing form the page then.

Anyone seen any official announcement about the obvious problems that everyone is having with the PC DLC?. I'd feel better if BW at least acknowledged the problems and that they were working it.
