How are you supposed to open the door in the elven ruins in order to get the shard and find morrigan when yu are a mage? Any REAL suggestions would be welcome

There's a creature called the Key master. well I'm sure you can work out what you do with that. Looks like any of the other elves in the area. Also you can navigate the ruins by sticking to the right side because there's no locked doors there.
My Key master ran through the door that connects the first two chambers when he saw me so perhaps he did the same for you but you didn't see him.
