I'm sure you guys already have an idea of the bug, but I have played through several imports of the same character and I know what causes it.
It's from Origins, after the epilogue... when you guys let us pretend we are doing things before the final battle...
The bug is Morrigan doesn't recognize the Dark Ritual.
1. Loaded my character from awakening, in which I loaded from a post-epilogue save... bugged.
2. Loaded same character from epilogue save itself, the post-campaign one... no bug.
3. Then to prove it wasn't awakening, I imported the epilogue save to awakening, then to golems, then to Witch Hunt, and no bug. She reacted correctly.
The reason why so many people are getting this bug is because most people play after the epilogue, even if it's just to switch equipment. So that's what I think.

Yeah playing with my Post epilogue save now.

I miss all my abilities. Image IPB

Seems to me the place beyond the real world and the fade would be the Black City that the Imperium Mages invaded and corrupted(with these same portals maybe?)  So taking a reborm innocent god into the Black City to remake it somehow might be a good story.  The extra book she gives to nonromantic PCs might be Flemeths book, perhaps translated.  And also if she says Flemeth isn't blood mage, abomination or human what does that make Morrigan?

Witch Hunt...what a total over hyped waste of time. Even worse than Darkspawn Chronicles (and that's saying alot!). Very soon after starting this DLC, It all felt like padding: reused areas, half assed characters, useless looting, tepid fights. And WTF!!! Sandal's "Enchantments!!" has been revoiced???? Just...stupid...Bioware.

But all this boring slogging thru so so **** is going to be worth the meet up with Morrigan!! N.O.T.

Morrigan pimps for DA2 and skedadles. Total Morrigan time out of one or two hours of a DLC? Maybe 2 or 3 minutes...

Then: Morrigan into the mirror, my character collects book and 'item of interest', allies exit stage left, credits.

To repeat: WTF?

My assessment:

DA:O: 10/10.

DA:A: 9/10. (Beginning BETTER than DA:O, fell off at end.)

Leliana's Song: 8/10.

Return to Ostagar: 6-7/10.

Witch Hunt: 3/10.

Darkspawn Chronicles: 1/10.

I give WH a 3 'cause until the end it has the allure of meeting Morrigan.

I give DC a 1 'cause there's no point to it and it's just kinda wierd (OK, sick) killing your former camp mates.

That said, I will buy Dragon Age: Destiny on day one!!

Combat!

Wisecracks!

Hot Dudes! and r o m a n c e...

The Black city is in the fade. Morrigan said "Beyond the  fade"

Personally I think the ending of Witch Hunt answered all the questions it needed to... because the rest of the story will be filled in during another game. Didn't the final boss look familiar? I think it's pretty obvious Morrigan is travelling through time to raise a child... a powerful child... one who will become strong enough to defeat "the true threat", Flemmeth. And his name will probably rhyme with flock.

See my earlier post.  I complained about this yesterday too.  But Sandal's voice actor is listed in the credits in the role of Finn.  It's hard to believe, since they had him there, that they would use a different actor for Sandal.  He did look and sound different though.  Maybe he's growing up and his voice is changing?  Or ... something more sinister?  :P

I must admit sandal did sound different... they should have just used the same vo from origins... right? I would say that the Black City is beyond the fade, because you can't get to the black city in the fade... you know? Like it's deeper in...

But is the Black City actually "in" the Fade. All we really know is that it is visible to those in the fade. It doesn't appear to be accesible.

Yea i realized that too when i was trying couple of imports. I used my DAO epilogue save to enjoy the witch hunt. I am really sad that my awakening save was based on a character imported from post epilogue, i just wanted to change gear before importing.

This is not an issue if Dragon Age 2 doesnt import a save from DAO. but, if it does ... i dont feel like replaying my character all over again in awakening! I'd rather try out different characters in origins.

P.S: Can anyone confirm if we will be able to import an older save to DA2?

God this was just so wrong on so many levels, I don't even know where to begin.

First, WAY too short, in general.

Second, the end explained nothing. It was a total anti climax, and the story was about nothing, besides Bioware milking more money. Quite a disgrace for the company.

Finally, the ending of Originas was TOTALLY not covered. I had accepted the offer of Morrigan to have a child with her, even tho I was not in love but a good friend. Now she tells me, I turned down her offer, I betrayed her, and no child, nada.

Goodness, this is really such a letdown! Damn you Bioware for stealing my money like this!

I romanced her and asked her if I could come with her.

So I have to go through Origins in its entirety again so that I can play the DLC that was released after I beat it before facing the Archdemon, and then proceed to play through Awakening/GoA again, imported from a specific auto-save, before having the ending of Witch Hunt go the way I want it to?

****** on that, she can think I refuse her if she wants to. It's not worth 80 hours of fixing.

Do you still have the Epilogue save?

If you import a save where you have played after the ending, the bug occurs.
When i imported the exact ending save "Post Epilogue", i faced no issue in Witch hunt.

I did the same thing with my Awakening import...I'd like to go back and replay Witch Hunt with my Warden's actual story, but I overwrote my epilogue save, and can't find the memory unit that I backed it up on.

The Black city is in the fade. Morrigan said "Beyond the  fade"

According to the mages, beyond the fade is the Maker.  Wynne tells you this when you meet her for the first time at Ostagar before the battle.

Also, for HNF's who married Alistair -- maybe the Queen is carrying said Godbaby, and this is why Morrigan says you betrayed her.

Any female in a romance with Alistair could already be pregnant at the archdemon battle.  If you're already pregnant, they have now given all female players the option of stealing the essence of the old god yourself when you kill the archdemon, instead of Morrigan getting the child, thus you betray her. Or Morrigan still isn't as strong a mage as her mother, whatever Flemeth is. Image IPB

Could her sending you after Flemeth just be a distraction from her real purpose?

Did the Architect steal the HNF's godbaby in Awakening?  Was this the real purpose of his experiment on the female warden?  Or did the Architect also take seed from male warden's?  If you kill the Architect you'll never know.  Image IPB

During the game for HNF or any female player Morrigan is very opposed to any female that is in a relationship with Alistair.  She doesn't like the idea of the relationship that a female player has with Alistair, nor does Wynne.  Because Alistair can possibly get the female pc pregnant before Morrigan has the chance to sleep with Alistair/Loghain herself.

For the guys if you romance Morrigan and Lelianna, then Morrigan might view this as a betrayal as well.  You weren't true to her.  During her tale of Flemeth's she tells you that Flemeth became what she is out of revenge because Cormac had no honor.  It was test for the male warden all along of honor and love for her.  If a warden romanced Leliana she could be carrying said godbaby???????  Image IPB

Oh my, more questions.  Image IPB

Well after all of this crap it would be a ashame if they don't bring the warden back.  Image IPB

As for the voice of Sandal, why not use the voice files they already had, unless Sandal got changed at the arch demon battle for some reason?  Image IPB

I'm beginning to think the Godbaby is the maker.  Image IPB

Speculation sure is fun. Image IPB  Ok, how many babies were actually made at camp?  Might have been more going on at camp when the wardens were away on missions then we all realized!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Image IPB

Who all knew about the ritual besides Flemeth, Morrigan, and the Wardens?

Can you say cliffhangers!  Image IPB
