It was like the dev's were like "Well, this is the end of origins, deal with it."Aeowyn wrote...
The last scene was just anti-climatic to say at least. Ugh....Well it was expected

Morrigan recognized all my choices correctly and even acknowledged that I still had the ring.
Can you develop? How emotional was the whole thing, and what is the final boss like?
So it's not a closure in any kind of way that settles things with the warden... at all...?

I never got to the book, the game cut straight to credits.
Bug or not??

Same. I wasn't sure if that was a bug or an intentional cliff-hanger.
Supposedly there was a gift in addition to the book since my Dalish female was friends with Morrigan but.. I have no idea what it is/was. I have no new codex entries or items and no epilogue save (though I get the feeling there isn't supposed to be one). I've completed Origins, Awakening, and Golems of Amgarrak with that character so I have no where else to "import" her to see what the heck Morrigan left her.

I was just going to ask this. The area was sparkling like you would be able to activate it and then suddenly it cut to the credits. Did anyone get their "gift" and the book in the end?

That's the worst cliffhanger ever if this is indeed the "end of Origins" <_

I was thinking about complaining about how this was a total waste of money because it wasn't 8 hours long or summin but then I remembered that it cost me about £4 which is more or less nothing. I remember wasting about that much when I let some meat expire once. Needless to say I was not "seriously pissed".

I hated the basement in the tower, though. It was awfully dull. Not difficult, just dull.
I was a bit disappointed that you didn't really get any answers. Just Morrigan saying that Flemeth is the real threat, that she's not a blood mage, not an abomination, not even human, which seems to build up to DA2.
It also bugged me that she said that she'd left something with the book, but you didn't even get to see what it was. When will we know?

I was all "huh?"
Morrigan did get my choices right but this was a warden who refused the ritual.
I would like to play again with my baby daddy, just to see.
I also need to do it on hard. I play on normal usually and with a post-Awakening warden, you're never in any danger.
Stuff I did like:
The explanation of why Dog wasn't around (lucky dog!)
Books in the library and some of the banters (a couple of references to Anders and some other silly stuff).
Beyond that, it's really a lot of level recycling and minor combat. Reasonably amusing in places though.

Disliked:
- Total lack of answers
- Too short (~1 hour)
- Didn't recognize DR for me (Romanced Zev)
Liked:
- Party Banter was excellent with lots of little references.
- Dog!
- Finn was hilarious.
Overall: wasn't worth the trouble.

I thought the gift was the book.

All you get to do is a little talking of what happened, how she betrayed you, bla bla bla and you can choose to either go with her, say goodbye or kill her. Best ending ever *sarcasm*JL81 wrote...

meh, I thought it was fun. I liked the companions.
I thought as a DLC, it was good. Great companions, witty, abundant banter and fun atnosphere.
Cons: Pacing was too damn fast, the items, new talents were a little much (for someone who has not played Awakening
I felt in the last scene they should have featured tracks inspired by the main theme, or the camp theme. The Circle Tower was great though.

That's better, but I'm pretty interested in the "blah blah blah." You have one conversation with Morrigan for a couple minutes? What does she say? Where do you go or not go with her?DarkAngel225 wrote...

That said, the ending bug where she denies the ritual was a complete ****-punch. That conversation was the entire reason I bought the thing and they messed it up. Grahh....
