The reuse of old locations is something im used to with DA DLC by now, like with GoA we get at least a new mob model, the Strider was done quite nicely.
Ariane was a nice companion, Finn was a little bit over the top - some less comic relief, please, I'm not that fond of attempts at cartoony humor. However, they had lots and lots of banter, and Ariane (suprisingly, since Finn was supposed to be the funny guy) had a few lines that made me smile.
The worst about this DLC is it's ending. I expected some kind of closure, some answers, but there are just vague hints that lead to even more questions. How is my Warden supposed to "retire" like this?

That's better, but I'm pretty interested in the "blah blah blah." You have one conversation with Morrigan for a couple minutes? What does she say? Where do you go or not go with her?DarkAngel225 wrote...
All you get to do is a little talking of what happened, how she betrayed you, bla bla bla and you can choose to either go with her, say goodbye or kill her. Best ending ever *sarcasm*

Stuff I did like:
The explanation of why Dog wasn't around (lucky dog!)
Books in the library and some of the banters (a couple of references to Anders and some other silly stuff).
Beyond that, it's really a lot of level recycling and minor combat. Reasonably amusing in places though.
I must be daft but when do you get this explanation? Is it a banter?

I didn't mind the DLC's shortness or reused areas or anything like that. I'm sure some do, I just want answers to the Morrigan denying I ever helped in the ritual. That kinda peeves me off.
Though I still apparently knocked her up and had a son. Nice nice.
Exactly. The DLC was fun (if a bit too much money, but that's what VA's get you), but the glitch just pissed me off.

He was at the Denerim kennels. There was a shortage of mabaris after the Blight and dog licked lamposts in winter....lots of them

I mean in Origins, wasn't she a mysterious, rarely seen swamp lady of the dark?
And in the DLC, everyone knows who she is :x

I enjoyed the DLC. Finn and Ariele (sp?) were cool and it was neat being able to refer to the places you'd been before.
That said, the ending bug where she denies the ritual was a complete ****-punch. That conversation was the entire reason I bought the thing and they messed it up. Grahh....
I found the ending bug rather disappointing as well. It's not as though it was a great secret that the multiple flags used to track things could get a little buggy and the easiest way to verify things would have been to check whether either one of the flags was active (can't remember the exact one as it's been months since I've poked around in the toolset but there was one to indicate that she was still in love that was set at the same time that the active romance flag was toggled off). Again, it's disappointing that it was overlooked yet again despite previous posts about it.

At the end, after the concluding scene, my mabari went up to the camp and began digging.
I never got to the book, the game cut straight to credits.
Bug or not??
I was just going to ask this. The area was sparkling like you would be able to activate it and then suddenly it cut to the credits. Did anyone get their "gift" and the book in the end?
I thought the gift was the book.
but are you suppsoed to be able to read it?
bc if you are, then my game bugged out.
If not, then boo, cliffhanger
No, that was certainly a cliffhanger. It seems on several occasions now Bioware has said something along the lines of its not impossible your warden won't return for future dragon age(s). Which has always striked me as an odd thing to say. Who knows though.

Morrigan recognized all my choices correctly and even acknowledged that I still had the ring.
Can you develop? How emotional was the whole thing, and what is the final boss like?
So it's not a closure in any kind of way that settles things with the warden... at all...?
So you can actually chose to go with her to this other world thing I read about on Gamespot?

Well, she was one of the Warden's companions that ended the Blight. I'm sure that got her a little notoriety even though she left so soon.eucatastrophe wrote...

Here's hoping for DA3.
I must say though I felt a warmth flare in me seeing Morrigan. The feeling returned when she mentioned our son <3
