saved patch to desk top, and ran as administrator, and it finally worked. Don't ask why.

Update here. Just uninstalled Dragon Age (while saving saved games etc - uninstaller gives you the option to do this), reinstalled it, downloaded witch hunt, and whallah! installs and works fine.

For waht its worth, the freeing up of space on both my drives (had about 2 gigs availible on each) and i now have ca. 20 gigs free, did the trick. After i quit and entered the game againg, it installed.

I did nothing else.

I also had this issue, but running as administrator for Win 7 64 bit worked for me as well.

My Witch Hunt comes very close to being fully downloaded, then I get a "download Failed" pop-up. Really irritating...I tried both the stand alone installation and the manual one, no luck with either... Can anybody help?

Last night, I had an almost 4hr nightmare installing the dlc-s, but they seem to work now. What I did, was setting the localisation in windows to EN(US) (don't know if it helped, but many ppl suggested doing so) then installed DA:O, Awakening, and 1.04 in this order. After doing so, I disabled DA content updater manually (to do so, run services.msc, find the utility, and click disable). When it is done, manually download the .dazip (or whatever) files, and use the DOA updater utility in the game folder to manually install them one by one. After that you can reenable the automatic conent updater. If you do that, the game will probably download all DLC-s upon first running, even those you have already installed, but dw, once they have downloaded it should be fine. Hope it helps.

Has there been a fix on this yet?

Witch Hunt is acting very weird for me. I purchased it, I downloaded it via the in game store, inside the in game store it downloads but fails to install, I then downloaded the manual install, and it installed, yet when I go to play it's not there, and inside the DLC area in the game, under the "installed" tab, it shows that it is installed.

What is going on?

Is your game patched to version 1.04?

Ok so finally bought witch hunt and the other DLC's i missed.
All installed fine except witch hunt, original ingame download failed to download.
so i downloaded it manually, which also says failed to install every time.
when i goto downloadable content it still shows witch hunt as available to purchase, even though it already shows as purchased on my account on the web
im patched to v 1.04 using windows vista home premium, any tips/suggestions would be most appreciated.
regards

(I know, my english are awful)
I read this workaround and it worked:
Use the notepad to open the Addins.xml file, located in C:/(Username)/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings. Go to menu -> file -> save as...and look if the encoding. It may have changed to ANSI instead of UTF-8. If so, then (make a copy first!) save the file with UTF-8 encoding. Restart the game and try from the "Downloadable content" menu.

Once downloaded, try installing it as administrator - it will work
