Looking forward to the content, things happen. Hopefully you guys can get it up tonight, the one day delay on PC for Fallout 3's Broken Steel nearly killed me!

All these nitwit teens who are too impatient to wait a bit, maybe even a day, should be banned.

There you all go. Now you can use the time to flame me rather than **** and moan unnecessarily and have a little patience over a damn GAME!

Patience has a limit.

And apparently that limit is just a few hours, not even a day. What a ridiculous comment.

hmmm maybe i need to reload the DLC >.<

this might clear things up for a lot of people. have you finished the Suicide mission and survived??

its supposed to bridge the gap between 2 and 3 so you, by rights, should have to finish the game first to play it.....

DLC downloads from the link... So they still didnt remove the old one, or have uploaded the new one already?

That's not the point.

The problem lies in that BioWare/EA happily took my money WITHOUT PROBLEMS OR ISSUES for a product that was deemed READILY AVAILABLE and I did not receive said product.

Don't get me wrong, I love and support BioWare 100%; but this is just so utterly sloppy and such a bonehead mistake that it makes you wonder what in the frack they were doing when they uploaded this file.

Next time you go to your favorite fast-food joint, fork over your cash and then receive an empty box with no food in it and they tell you to stand there and wait until, OH, they feel like giving you your food that you paid for while they already have your money...tell us how that goes for you. Last time I checked, I plunked money down for a DLC, not to give BioWare/EA a $10 loan (multiplied by THOUSANDS of buyers, no doubt).

Very well said.

Pfff... how much worse can it get ???

We already got royally screwed, AGAIN !

If they don't find a solution and can't fix it soon, and were not prepared to the worst case, then they go back to work on an new file and test it extensively, it's mean creating new file for pc, then play it to be sure it's fine, then upload it, then test the link to ensure everything is working as intented.

It's mean a lot of hour.

At this point i'm starting not to give a **** anymore, and I want my goddamn money back.
I've put up with a lot of their more than lackluster QA, and I'm freakin sick of it.

I work in the ICT Industry and I have had things go wrong even though nobody really did anything wrong, its just the way it goes sometimes.

I just hope that Bioware can get it working before I have to go to bed.

Oh hell yea. The most epic failures happen when "nobody did anything wrong" and something just "fell through the cracks". I.e. everyone was just doing their jobs and everyone assumed it's someone else's job to do something in particular, and when the ****up is revealed everyone is busy shifting the blame instead of getting it fixed. Not uncommon for big companies too... like EA...

Come back when you know how Programs are made and what faulty code, Corruption, debugging and whatnot is.

Unfortunately, I do happen to know exactly how programs are made, and what faulty code, data corruption and code debugging is. I can imagine how a glitch can create a file whose size is 0 bytes, but I don't know how you can accidentally create a 1.5Gb file full of 00s, and upload it to production CDN without everyone knowing right away. But somehow it's not so hard for me to imagine someone deliberately creating one, so that EA/Bioware could claim they released it on time but need more time to investigate "compatibility issues"...

Its pretty easy, I havent been programming for long but any misplaced letter can just wreak havoc on your program, couple taht with people downloading before it was fully uploaded, it could have sparked the error and corrupted it. I love how people are so quick to lay huge amounts of blame on other people but if they were on the other side things would be different. Come on its the first ME DLC to give PC players trouble so shhhh, let them work at fix it.

Thanks for the update chris, hopefully when I get back itll be up:wizard:

Its disappointing. I'll wait but not patiently since I can't wait to play the DLC it also sucks that the console players get to play it with no problem because of spoilers...it also makes me feel once again that pc plays second fiddle to them.

this also happens when Q&A doenst do their frakkin Job or the company deems Q&A as unnecessary

I think it's too big to be the fault of the Q&A.

The realese was delayed about 1 hour 30 minute i guess.

May be they had to make a new file in hurry and uploaded it without involving the QA.

*shrugs* okay.. i paid for the DLC.. i downloaded it... noticed it won't work, checked the forums, found the reason.
where's the problem? hey... waiting a few hours longer doesn't mean the world stops turning... take some time and think about all the MMORPG's out there and how many problems they have with new content... patches over patches.. all in all over days.
waiting a few hours or maybe a day is no problem at all.
Even the biggest companys make mistakes... it's only human

For all we know it could take them DAYS... so stop this talk about "a few hours".

Well look at the bright side, at least you don't have to spend two years running around the Citadel trying to get a refund, just be sure to keep the proof of purchase.   (Just trying to lighten things up)

If this had to happen, I'm glad it was on the same day as new Dragon Age DLC. Saved me from a tough decision at least.

If someone from Bioware reads this, you might want to post an update on the announcement forum, since that's the first place I looked after seeing that the download had disappeared.

They probably just removed the reference, not the file itself. Still, I'm re-downloading now. In 15 mins it'll be finished.

Few hours? We were not told what time the DLC would be downloadable and then when it finally is it's faulty. And surprise surprise, we don't even get an estimated time on when it will be fixed. Not to mention that things like this have happened before with Bioware.

Also, I don't know why you're being so hostile towards me. Is there really any need for you to act like a jerk to someone you don't even know?

Yeah that's right, sell people a DLC full of 0s and then ban them for having the nerve to not be happy about it.

Yes it will be fixed but I can't blame people for getting annoyed.

That's right, you can't blame impatient nitwits for getting annoyed and posting such garbage.

Of course, I'm not annoyed because I WAIT when something is released to see if there are any problems with it? Gee, do you think that was a good idea?

mmm say i have a proposal for bioware...

the guy who came out with this file filled with 0s shoudl be paid with what he did... : (( 0.00$))

and well maybe bioware should take 10 buck out of the wages of the guy who messed up and offer it back to those who paid for nothing...

I have a limit on patience. Yes I understand that these things happen BUT this happens often. Its obvious that the download wasnt tested and this is a big well respected company. The ball was dropped.
