You'll get your $10 dollars worth when they fix it... you don't have to pay any extra to get it once that is done. And to paraphrase another forum member why be such a jerk to people you don't even know. How do you know it's a problem with an individual and not a technical error that they simply didn't know existed until someone brought it to their attention. NO ONE is perfect.

No one is perfect and I agree we shouldnt be jerks about it. Chris has apologised, but what ever kind of technical error this was someone didnt do their job. The computer made the file yes but who ever built it didnt check and who ever uploaded it didnt check. The could have known quite easily and should have.

I have no problem with waiting, I just find it disappointing that these problems seems so pervasive in the games industry, patch then release even on console now and releases without checking, crackdown dlc and this

To all that think BW are being jerks to us:

Do you think they meant to do this to ****** of their millions of PC users. Yes of course becuase that would be good business practice. How are they being jerks/dicks. THEY ARE FIXING IT. A jerk/dick would say, oh we have your money now bye. Seriously is it just me or have none of you ever had a big problem in your life. If this is the way you react to DLCs I would hate to see you react to an insurance company or the tax collectors. Chillax, its all going to be fine.

The only thing keeping my head from asploding is the fact that Witch Hunt is working and I have to play through DA:O, DA:A, GoA, so that I can play Witch Hunt (New computer, old one died unable to transfer saves)

So Im a bit busy at the moment.... but frustration is not the word for it.... its a bit like waking up Christmas morning after being a saint all year, to find the milk and cookies gone, and a neatly wrapped lump of coal in your stocking with a note from Santa saying:
Sorry ran into some issues, I'l be back in a couple of days, thanks for the cookies and milk!

Soooo, yeah....
While some on the boards are just trolling and being a little over bombastic, I do understand the pitchforks and torches sentiment... I downloaded that 1.5 gigs of zeroes myself, 3 times.

I almost feel like I got conned, I know I was not but still it feels that way for some reason....

I promise you, whatever is wrong wasn't intentional. I'm certain BioWare would not ****** off their own community by sabotaging their own work. You should appreciate that they're doing their best to help you instead of whining.
Stop acting like a douche.

A douche is a device used to introduce a stream of water into the body for medical or hygienic reasons, or the stream of water itself.

Ok, i'll stop acting like a douche and go look for hidden cameras while figuring out how BW are helping me by correcting their own mistakes....

That's what I'm saying. I would hate to see some of these people having to deal with some real tough situations.

We have reason to be mad Edam. If you went and bought a house which turned out to be only an empty lot when you got there how would you feel?

Good grief, the illogic of some of the members here is epic. YOU WILL GET YOUR DLC!

In the name of all saints, how much brains does it require to understand us? It was promised that we'll get it today. We got our hopes up. We got screwed up. It makes us feel crappy. Can't deliver - don't promise. It makes us mad, we rage in forums. It's not logic, it's FEELINGS.

U.N.D.E.R.S.T.A.N.D? Or still too hard? Sheesh!

Can't really imagine..... you guys don't have a QA? You never test your own installs? Don't know whether I want to laugh or cry... Never, never let an intern work on a final product :D

Is this the place I go to to nerdrage and make outrageous and unrealistic analogies or claims?

'Its like a fast food place that gives you a empty box then sits there and makes yo uwait for food even though its ready!'

'Its like buying a house only you get a lot without a house!'

 'They stole my money!'

They had an error. You can get a refund if you contact them. They aren't just sitting there with it and not giving it to you. Something caused a problem. Their fixing it.

You will get it eventually. Its a small delay. Its not the end of the world.

Might I suggest a life? Their free. All you have to do is walk away from your computer and stop freaking out that your fantasy game life is interrupted and you can't expand it.

Don't worry. Even your kind can go out into the world and find things to do. I even heard there is no release date for going down the road.

 Oh snap.

life.exe is incompatible with windows 7 64 bit.

Alright, to everybody worrying about it.

The Shadow Broker will be out, when, who knows, does BW have 800 of our MS points, yes, are they going to make us repay for it, no. Come on guys chill, relax, grab a beer, hang out with your gf/bf or just your buddies. Enjoy the waning hours of summer. Its a game, not a big deal. And the price is that of a lunch. Being a complete and total dick to BW wont help your case. Its going to be alright.
To anyone who agrees with this please quote.:wizard:

Agreed!
Chris, if you read this, try assuming direct control and things will be fine

Shhh! You don't want to attract the attention of those infintely our greater! :D

Good point I will go back and edit it out of my........ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL....Leave the corrupt files where they fall.....corrupt files are useless to me....my debugger will tear you appart...Releasing control of this post.

There should have been no fix necessary, THAT is what's bugging people out here.
But as of late, shoddy QA is obviously all the rage.

But it is ok for BW to be total ****s to their paying customers?

Understood <_<

Maybe they are doing their best. But as usual they seem wholly incapable of communicating this - instead deciding to hide behind vaguaries and guesswork, with absolutely no information about the problem and seemingly no excuse for sloppy, last minute problems. Why wasn't this file uploaded over the weekend?

The difference is you can be pissed off and feel the need to rant about it on a forum, or the opposite realise that ok, its happened and we will get said dlc when its fixed. Bioware hurry up PLEASE. I gotta say after this wait i will probably be more engrossed than before. I'd better be.
