We have reason to be mad Edam. If you went and bought a house which turned out to be only an empty lot when you got there how would you feel?

Good grief, the illogic of some of the members here is epic. YOU WILL GET YOUR DLC!

Exactly. And you're not buying a goddamn house, you're buying add-on packs for a game. :D

Ok seriously now. This is the first time Bioware "f"s up majorly. Don't be too harsh stuff like that happens! And come to think if it it's not that much of a problem we just have to wait a bit longer. Remeber when Ubi randomly shut down Assassin's Creed 2 copies? Now that was a major screw up, Bioware just messed up the upload along the way. No money or data or whatever will be lost. So just have a little patience

I'm surprised they weren't ready for this earlier.

Unless I'm missing something, is there a good reason for companies not to test their files at least a day or two in advance, to make sure everything will go smoothly?

It just strikes me as bad organization/planning and a lack of basic error-checking. They need to hire somebody a little more obsessive-compulsive about sh*t like this.

Whenever I wait patiently for a BioWare DLC to be released on the PC, I'm reminded of this:

...Just kidding.

Gah...while I appreciate the update, this is aggravating to say the least. You'd figure that someone would have gotten all of this QA stuff out of the way before it was released so that we wouldn't be sitting here waiting some more for bugs to be fixed that should have been taken care of sooner.

People are eager to hear more from their favorite character. Their fustrations are only too human.

But, nonetheless, whining about it isn't going to help either.

In the name of all saints, how much brains does it require to understand us? It was promised that we'll get it today. We got our hopes up. We got screwed up. It makes us feel crappy. Can't deliver - don't promise. It makes us mad, we rage in forums. It's not logic, it's FEELINGS.

U.N.D.E.R.S.T.A.N.D? Or still too hard? Sheesh!

The day isn't over yet................

Oh Em Gee. You promised we could have it today by saying it was the release date, then there was an issue and now we might not have it today. My feelings are hurt.

Chances are if you are so attached to ad amn game that it ruins your life to miss out on one mission chain for a day or so that you have plenty of other games.

For the love of god, go do something else.

But... Don't we need the DLC to get laid?

(only speculations)

Small problems are usually fixed in a minute. Somethin's fishy.

Might be that Bioware Server 9000 finally gained control.

You'll get your $10 dollars worth when they fix it... you don't have to pay any extra to get it once that is done. And to paraphrase another forum member why be such a jerk to people you don't even know. How do you know it's a problem with an individual and not a technical error that they simply didn't know existed until someone brought it to their attention. NO ONE is perfect.

No one is perfect and I agree we shouldnt be jerks about it. Chris has apologised, but what ever kind of technical error this was someone didnt do their job. The computer made the file yes but who ever built it didnt check and who ever uploaded it didnt check. The could have known quite easily and should have.

I have no problem with waiting, I just find it disappointing that these problems seems so pervasive in the games industry, patch then release even on console now and releases without checking, crackdown dlc and this

All I'm saying is that for all you know the file could have been fine in the beginning and corrupted during the upload to the server. May be someone hacked them and caused a problem with the file. There could be 100 different reasons the file is broken other than human error. Computers and computer programs are just as fallible as a human being after all we created them and god knows we're not perfect. Not everything goes according to plan. Unless you work there and know the specifics you cannot know for sure what the problem was whether it be human error or one of the many other problems that can and do occur.

Alright I have one thing to say about this. I completed the DLC. I did a mission and came back to check out the new stuff. I had 4/5 sniper damage upgrades and hadn't done the IFF mission yet. When I went to the console to pick up gifts in the intel center there was a sniper damage upgrade in the gifts. I went up to the terminal and upgraded to 5/5 before doing the IFF mission.

That's just... awesome and I wonder if when I do the IFF mission the upgrade will be there so I can get 6/6 damage upgrades.

Finally we have some information on the DLC, thanks for the heads up, Chris.

(Tip: Next time it happens, you should immidiately release a "PC version currently doesn't function" topic, it would spare a lot of moderation-needy comments from the Announcements forums :) )

I still hope we get a free weapon or something, after all, it's not the first time it happens, someone should've tested it.

are you that ignorant ? how is bioware being a dick to fans when there basicly updating every moment they can? i swear some of you posters need to seek some psychological help because if you really believe bioware is saying screw the fans than the problem isnt bioware

LOL, okay, I'll try to explain. It is a standard procedure to have a backup copy of installer. To test or AT LEAST launch it to see if it runs. To have a backup server to upload it to. To screw up LIKE THAT, oh yeah, you sure have to be a dick. This is beyond noobish.

Alright, to everybody worrying about it.

The Shadow Broker will be out, when, who knows, does BW have 800 of our MS points, yes, are they going to make us repay for it, no. Come on guys chill, relax, grab a beer, hang out with your gf/bf or just your buddies. Enjoy the waning hours of summer. Its a game, not a big deal. And the price is that of a lunch. Being a complete and total dick to BW wont help your case. Its going to be alright.

To anyone who agrees with this please quote.:wizard:

Thanks for the sanity.

You know I really hate how people are flaming bioware for this. Glitches happen all the time not game or extra content is free of glitches. Here is why I still buy from bioware despite issues like this. They actually give a damn and fix issues right away. It saddens me that people bash bioware when they are among a select few developers that actually care enough to tell us what is going on and trying to fix it asap. Many other developers wouldn't even bother. It saddens me that we have to wait but I'd rather wait and get a working product.
