I read something about firing someone :')? Seriously? Come on. Valve delays their stuff countless times. It is their right and people need to put things in perspective. People in Pakistan are having to drink fouled water. We need to wait for some DLC we are really anticipating. Boo. ****ing. Hoo.

We have reason to be mad Edam. If you went and bought a house which turned out to be only an empty lot when you got there how would you feel?

Good grief, the illogic of some of the members here is epic. YOU WILL GET YOUR DLC!

Exactly. And you're not buying a goddamn house, you're buying add-on packs for a game. :D

How, HOW to call this level of stupidity? Please tell me, I don't know anymore. It isn't JUST the file, there is such thing as a SERVICE. And what is a service? You pay, you get product AND service. Service was supposed to be a delivery of a product on the time specified. We paid for product and service. They did not fulfill the terms.

Availability of a DLC is an official statement, not some promise of a friend. YOU PAID TO GET IT ON SEPTEMBER 7. THIS is what you paid for. You paid. And you didn't get it. Normally, this is a violation of the agreement, though I wouldn't be surprised if BW has it covered in their agreement.

I'm surprised they weren't ready for this earlier.

Unless I'm missing something, is there a good reason for companies not to test their files at least a day or two in advance, to make sure everything will go smoothly?

It just strikes me as bad organization/planning and a lack of basic error-checking. They need to hire somebody a little more obsessive-compulsive about sh*t like this.

What makes you think they didn't check? There are many ways that a proper file can be corrupted after it is uploaded.

if it got corrupted after the upload they could just reupload the file it seems to be another problem

Something bad happened, that person is automatically horrible and evil! Let us torch him and take all he has and torch it to!

I just wasted more hours of my life waiting for it then it will take to actually play it! I don't understand that there is more then this mysterious electronic device that lets me live a life that is more entertaining them my suicide inducing basement dwelling existance!

Man. Everyone, calm the hell down. its ridiculous. you hit refresh and theres ten more 'Oh em gee I'm lame and am staying up all night/don't have a life and this is all I live for!' posts.

If people paid for it and delivery time was specified for a certain date, now it isn't their right. As I've explained in the post above.

Bioware is and will always be my favorite developer, this issue doesn't phase that at all, not a big deal... Go outside or get laid to pass the time.

this goddamnit
some of the only sense ive seen in this thread.
so much nerdrage its unbelieveable- almost feel sorry for the people who're making demands; the customer is NOT always right.

To be fair, this is the best piece of DLC put out by Bioware for either Mass Effect title or Dragon Age, so the nerdrage is understandable, IMO. :D

It is something which can happen. You paid for it and you will get it. Only wait a little bit longer. If you care that much, gaming is too much of a highlight in your life. Get help.

I am not trying to join the whiners and whatnot and don't think BioWate should fire anyone for this.  But the complainers do have a point.  It is like going to Best Buy and Buying Starcraft II and getting home and finding the box empty.  Pushing back the release date is one thing.  Having the release and having people pay and then not get the product is sucky.
