Guys, I bet they didn't have the PC versions done when they released that inflato fake installer.
They were running out of time to finish the DLC and put all their time in getting the 360 version done, so M§ is happy.
After that they started working on the PC version... And when the release came close and the PC DLC wasn't done, they just uploaded our 1,52 GB of 0s!
I seriously think that's true. Or why do you think they haven't explained to us what exactly caused the installer to be broken?
The conspiracies begin.

If that's true than they lied to us, and they are in for some serious trouble. But Bioware isn't that stupid.

For all we know one of the "Night Shift" guys is gonna walk in any second and say "whats everyone in such a fluster about??" (or something to that effect) and once its explained to him he'll just say "oh" push a button and BAM, problem solved......... lol

Do you need to have had a romance with Liara to get the catching up achievement? It's the only one I have left in the entire game.
Maybe you read the achievement wrong? I thought it said romance instead of reminisce until someone pointed it out, I'm pretty certain you won't need a Liara romance to get the achievement.

Aside from the fact that it could be any number of issues? I mean many things seem to complie properly, then you alter just one tiny bit of information and the whole thing gets sent to hell in a handbag. I know that from programming experience. Also they are far more concerned with getting it fixed that saying why it is broken

And I seriously think you're an idiot *rolls eyes*. For one thing, doing that would open to real legal issues in a way that simply failing to upload it wouldn't. It's pretty obvious they failed to properly plan the release schedule and ran into a problem with corruption somewhere, which is annoying. Your version, however, is ridiculous.

I am a appalled at some of the comments being made here.
Do people really think Bioware doesn't care about their biggest ME2 DLC? They prefer xbox users to PC? They are stealing money? They didn't follow through on their premise?
Everyone makes mistakes. You have, I have, and bioware has. I understand the process that is involved in creating something like this, and for and error like this to slip past QA is not uncommon and not the end of the world.
Most importantly, they realized their mistake, and they have taken the file down. People need to stop dwelling on the error, and realize that Bioware (a very PC respective company) is doing everything they can to fix the issue. I been anticipating this DLC, and having to wait a bit longer isn't going to kill me, especially if it means a working install file!
But if people did that they wouldn't be able to complain and trash them. And that's no fun. I mean I agree this is stupid people are going nuts over this. It really is not that big of a deal, it will be up and ready with in 24 hours I think, probably before then.
Don't get me wrong, it was an unexcusable error on Bioware's part. I just think that dwelling over the error and getting irrationally upset about it is nonsense.
Bioware is one of the few devs that care about their fans as well as their $$ figures. That can't be said for a lot of other companies. They will surely come through with a fix soon.

The conspiracies begin.
Better explanation: They churned out a dummy PC installer so that the pirate bay and the various torrent sites would be flooded with non-working junk versions curbing day one piracy, lessening average joe's faith in torrent files at being a viable means to attain working files, strengthening the notion that torrents and all piracy is inherently full of garbage non working and corrupted files - while still taking money from paying consumers.

EDIT: Also, I'd say it's excusable. Doesn't make it less frustrating.

Now it's inexcusable, it just keeps getting worse and worse. Again, it's still the scheduled release date. Apart from giving you a faulty download, there isn't really much to "excuse."
