But, Bioware, for future game releases please make english an option at installation, or don't localize at all. Every rpg gamer can speak english, and the translations are always garbage anyway. And don't do mistakes like this with the PC release. It's so unprofessional, you just embarrass yourselves.
Anyways, thanks for this awesome DLC - even if it was circumstantial to get it - And I hope we'll have another dlc like this soon (no more weapon dlc please, that should be free via cerberus network...)

It is very easy to choose your language when you install on PCs.Predi1988 wrote...
Just finished the DLC, and ...WOW. I hope the others will be this good, or even better. It worked without problem for me, the only real problem was, that I am hungarian, and I had to download the english version from EA Download Manager, and that was more than 10 GBs. But at least it's a solution thats free, and you don't have to tamper with the files...

When the Autorun Menu comes up where you can start the installation, click on the canadian flag somewhere in the upper left corner, then click install.
The Installer will come up in english, an the game will be in english too when you start it.
I know that the flag is small and easy to miss, but it is there (at least in my version of ME2).
Apart from Steam I refuse to use any kind of download managers, I always buy my games from GameStop or department stores with a game section.
And I always play games in english, as translations into my native language (German) are not up to par with the english original.

Easy for you to say, Germany wasn't affected by the "technical difficulty". For you maybe that version is there, but for us in the "void of Europe" its not there. I'm hungarian, and my version has flags too, but only hungarian, czech, and polish. I tried to install it not through autorun, but setup.exe first time I installed it. It was english alright, but without letters. I couldn't even begin a new game, because all the buttons were blank. It's sad because it's the same autorun with DA:O, but there if I installed it via setup.exe, it installed a perfect english version. I don't know why ME2 hadn't got that option.

It would be nice to have a proper explanation of how this happened, I don't want names just how it was allowed to happen.Failing that some sort of commitment to improving pc dlc releases The last mass effect dlc on pc was delayed and this one was delayed as it wasn't even uploaded and ready to go and then released broken. Clearly improvements need to be made to the precess no matter how good the dlc turns out to be.
Glad its in peoples hands and thanks to the team that got it fixed last night.

Many people are still having problems, just take a look at the PC technical support forum.

That means that you run cmd.exe as an administrator and type in chkdsk /f (note the space). It will tell you that you can't do it now and it will ask you if you want it to run on the next boot. Enter Y for yes and reboot your system, then download the file again and give it a shot. Worked for me.

I downloaded the DLC, and opened up one of my old completed games, and went to Illium. I did the terminal hacking missions that I get from Liara (I didn't do them before the suicide mission) and left. Apparently I'm supposed to get some message from Liara on the Normandy, but I just want to know how long it should take...
I went and finished Kasumi's loyalty mission, and stopped that ship from crashing into the planet. I got a message saying thanks for that, but still haven't gotten anything from Liara...

You can still start the mission if you don't get the email. Just go back to Illium and talk to her. Otherwise you have a problem with your DLC.

EDIT:
okay, well never mind. Apparently I had to shut my xbox off, then turn it back on. Now I've got the mission. Thanks for your help anyways

It's times like these that I am glad I play the majority of games on the XBOX, not being able to mod fully can be a real pain, considering the vastness of the DAO modding, but all the same, it's worth to encounter 0% technical snags, when i've already got a busy life
Yes because the X-Box NEVER has technical errors: http://www.wired.com...ge-origins-dlc/

And regarding the localizations, thanks God I ordered an English version from the UK. The one sold in the Czech republic offers only Czech, Polish and Hungarian when installing, eventhough it contains all other languages. Some things I will never understand...
