The reason I knocked it a half a point is because there is a few places on Illium where the FPS drops to 18 where otherwise I run 62 FPS anywhere else in ME2. This happens because of how they programmed the graphics and code for the DLC, and I'm sure they will patch it eventually. Other than that I feel this DLC is flawless.
Semi-facetious question here - what exactly do you mean 'program the graphics and code for the DLC'?

I think he probably meant "designed the Level Geometry".JaegerBane wrote...

I used to map in the Unreal Engine when UT1 came out and later for the UT2003 Engine, and in the latter (and the Unreal Engine 3.5 used in Mass Effect 2) the Geometry is mostly designed in Lightwave or other 3D-Packages, then imported into UE3.5 as a Static Mesh to be used as part of the level.
There was no "programming of graphics and code", there was only programming for the Shaders which take care of the effects on surfaces and effects in general (like the spark effects in the SB Ship).
Just a small addition: I never experienced any kind of slow-downs in the Illium Levels, and my system is not really top of the line.
AMD Phenom X4 9550 (4x2GHz)
4GB DDR2-RAM
ATI RadeonHD 4850 (512MB GDDR3-RAM)
so, not really that powerful anymore when you take a look at the systems currently available, but still able to run ME2 with maxed out graphic settings in 1680x1050 Pixels in fullscreen.

And, is it my imagination, or some asari vanguards while dying screamed in male voices? Anyone else noticed that?
The dossiers were real fun, and all the jokes between Shep and Liara were great too, thnx for a little fanservice there, Bioware )

Uh..."Shadownbroker"...? Lol, typo?
Anyway, loved the dlc. Even though I DID experiance my fair share of glitches. Audio cutouts etc.
Was sort of dissapointed with the whole shadow broker explanation. I feel this probably should of been dealt with in ME3, or even in ME2. Not in DLC. The shadow broker seems to be a too big a charecter for just DLC. Let alone just three hours.
I'm wondering how they will explain his death in ME3, for those that didn't buy the DLC. Assuming Liara does in fact play a large part as the "New shadow broker". It will need SOME form of explanation.
Especially for the countries where the dlc is not availible.
Though it DID include my favorite lines to date.
"Remember the old days...when you could just stick omni gel on everything?"
"Yes, that upgrade made a lot of people unhappy"
LOL.

Is anyone else having a problem picking either the paragon or renegade options on the first boss fight? I just maxed out the paragon and renegade points in gibbed and I still can't select either one...
I'm having the same issue. I tried it with two of my shepherd characters, one maxed out on renegade and my other maxed out on paragon and they're both still greyed out in the dialogue options and its bloody annoying.

I do have the same problem. I think you can select paragon option only if you have saved the council and rachni and have enough paragon points. If either one of those does not fit - you can't select it. Same goes for the renegade option.

Holy mother of DLC BioWare. If you guys build something like this for Kaiden/Ashley I will literally swap religions and start praising the ground you guys walk on.
I agree. Giving Ashley and Kaidan DLC similar to LOTSB would be a great experience.

Well my Paragade Femshep picked the paragon option and she killed both the rachni queen and the council, and she referenced it in her speech (which was pretty awesome). I played the DLC post game and I had the paragon/ renegade bonus if that helps.

I also really hope to see DLC where Kaidan and Ash get similar treatment with a great story and the possibility of continuing the romance--at least get back on the right foot again with them to start again.
The dossiers were a nice touch.JohnnyBeGood2 wrote...
I want to thank Bioware for providing the personnel dossiers. No doubt you really have been secretly reading these forums all along and know what forum lurkers love - material for gossip.
However, everyone seems to get a dossier or a mention except for Kaidan and/or Ashley.
Also, Liara will discuss with Shepard any of her love interests except for Kaidan or Ashley. There's the one renegade option where she mentions Horizon, but its the same if K/A was your LI or just a friend.
The continual glaring oversight of the other two ME1 LI's is grating after a while.

I've hated DLC with a passion until September 7th, 2010. Lair of the Shadow Broker is truly what DLC is meant to be, and what all other developers should strive to achieve with their extra content. If only the Dragon Age team could take some hints from the ME2 team . (Note: I have not played Witch Hunt yet, so the DA comment is based around everything prior to that.)
10/10. My only complaint is I wish I could play it for the first time again

Had to replay the "Hotel Azure" section, - after defeating enemies on the parking, Liara didn't suggest to climb to Vasir's car, so I stuck there.

Yes, I totally saw/heard that happen a few times with the asari dying screams in a male voice. I though it was on purpose & funny as hell

That's not it, I just gibbed in saving the council and I still only have greyed out options.
