*When* does it make the most sense to play this DLC ? Before or after the suicide mission ?

It's ok either way. The dialogue adjusts itself according to whether or not you completed the suicide mission.

I'd suggest post-suicide if you've already romanced someone else and don't intend to go back. That way the other relationship is already consummated.GreenSoda wrote...

If you want to keep Liara, any time is good. It might even be better to do it as early as possible.

Loved it.
However, is seems that there should be more? Once you "finish" you have new things at your disposal, that seem to have no purpose, without ongoing content. I would think that many new missions should be available to utilize these new resources. Am I missing something?

I guess that these new thing will be useful in the coming DLC's.BlitzPig_EL wrote...
First off, this is the best DLC ever done for ME2, by a large margin.
Loved it.

There should be at least two new DLC's after this one, as Bioware said that they probably will make three DLC's to bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3.

LotSB seems broken on PC's. After completing it and trying to start a new game stasis is unelectable as a new power.
Yeah, I've noticed that as well. Christina's answer:

Regarding the appearance of the bonus power on new game.
We
are still looking into this but it sounds like the current theory the
player base has is that you can pick the bonus power on xbox, but can't
on pc. We like to confirm everything ourselves, but I can say at this
point that that is possible. I won't get into the technical details but
pc and xbox dlc has to be packaged separately, and an error Iike that
could occur.
The work around is to play to horizon, and then use
the respec research option which should let you pick stasis. I believe
there are other non-endorsed-by-bioware but effective solutions as well
which are fully discussed in this forum (but which could void your
import into me3 warranty).
(except you only need Mordin, you don't need to wait until the Horizon mission)

You can start LOtSB as soon as you get access to the Ilium system, so the new resources can be utilized over the course of the main game if you wish.

Agreed, Silver! I may not have a Liara romance going with my main Shep, but I fully support anyone's choice for a LI.
On a side note, Liara has moved ahead of Ash on my list of "favorite girls from Mass Effect".....lol....

Heh, if I could have romanced Ash with my female shepard, I would have had a hard time choosing between her and Liara though (in ME1) as I liked the casual chats I had with Ash.Merlin 47 wrote...

I still always have a huge grin on my face when you end a conversation with Ash in ME1:
"Dismissed, Chief"
"Mam"
For some reason it always puts a smile on my face

Give it time. Presumably (HOPEFULLY) there will be more DLC and anything you acquire will be of use then.
Or, what happens if you play it earlier in the ME2 game...I would think you would have those items for use in the running game(?) I am playing LotSB right now (insanity level, battle outside the ship doors waiting for Liara's hack to work...quite a tough fight!) so have no idea about what you refer to yet.

I thought Lair of the Shadow Broker was great! I like the other missions DLC, Overlord and Kasumi, but I loved how this had a bigger impact on the world, and dealt with Liara whose fate was left open in ME2. With that, the little touches such as the Shadow Broker recognizing Archangel when Garrus was in my group, and the dossiers with past conversations that were mention throughout the games. And now I am curious to see how it plays out in ME3.
Concerning squadmates on the mission...do you lose your third person leaving it at just yourself and Liara to fight the Shadowbroker regardless of who you have with you?

This might be a stupid question, but how do you get the mission? I have installed the DLC, but I just can't seem to get the mission. The wiki says "A message is sent to Shepard's private terminal from Cerberus", but I haven't received any message. I've tried going to Illium and back on the Normandy. I've tried going from one deck to another on the Normandy in hopes that it would trigger something.
I'm having this problem, too. The achievements are listed so it's (presumably) all installed. A few times, Kellly has told me I have a message but there isn't one, starting right after I installed it. I don't know what to do now.
I believe that if you simply go back to Illium and visit Liara, you will be able to get the ball rolling.

What is an LI? I can't find anything on google, and I've beaten Mass Effect 2 four times now.
LI = love interest
Simply refers to which character you end up romancing, if you go that route.
