It seems its bugged if you use any other save but the post epilogue save that the game creates itself.
So the custom saves in the throne room, right before leaving the hall and talking to your companions, do not work?
Also, can anyone confirm that if you talk to Morrigan in Denerim and then don't give her the mirror in the post epilogue (because playing in the post epilogue would cause the DR bug!) then the romance with her will not be active in WH?

I used to have five characters, but my comp caught a virus so I had to reformat, and lost all my saves. Then re-did my canon run-through only to find he is bugged because I utilized the epilogue feature.
Help motivate me people! hehe. So this will be canon run number 3 now!
Unless they just do a checklist or something you can modify, then I won't bother.

Yes, but on the other hand you are loosing all the continuity, equipment, gold, experience, log entries and in general it feels just like a huge cheatShiratori wrote...
While not an ideal solution, you can use console codes to basically bypass the whole game (you can even do it in pieces to mark off each quest as "done" with appropriate choices as to not glitch anything else like picking who joins you in the final battle Mage/Templar, etc). It's what I'm doing here. About the only thing I'm not console-coding through are the discussions with Morrigan just to set the romance flags the old fashioned way.
Plus I don't know if anyone else tried, but I was going to see if having that romance flag set still makes a difference for the end of Witch Hunt.
Hopefully someone will find the real solution.
On the other hand, if we are getting save continuity errors between the game and it's dlc, the save import feature for DA2 is looking grim.
Yeah it is a cheat per say but, I wasn't doing it to have the full story. It was just to be able to play through and see all the possible endings (and if they worked, I know what to do for the "main game"). It's also just a workaround for anyone else who wants to see it properly and who doesn't have a correct save to do it with without having to replay the whole game. Besides, the console lets me have however much gold and exp I want, and there was a mod that let me add any item in the game to my inventory as well. So really, the only thing missing may be some codex entries (which isn't a big deal in this case).
Like I said, it's not ideal, but something that can be done in the mean time until it is fixed.

That is a good question, and I'm not sure unfortunately
They said they payed careful attention to import the correct Morrigan romance flags (unlike in Awakening), and they might have. Because if you think about it, the way they probably test imports is they get in their toolset and say "I want a character this level, with these abilities, and these flags ----- import". So that is how they probably missed the epilogue bug that is affecting everyone (because they never play in the epilogue), granted that's a big bug to miss.
Sorry mate.

Sorry mate.
That's why I thought they should get some actual players to test it, like they choose 20 random people who sign up to get a free copy of the dlc in exchange for reporting any bugs.

Of course then I will be starting WH/Awakening naked because I'm wearing warden commander armor /sigh.
This is indeed what happened to me - did the whole thing NAKED - since not one damn piece of armour can be found in the whole WH DLC (unless in a locked chest/room.... being a warrior I had no rogue with me to check). No DR bug though, so it looks like it's the Origins Epilogue save or bust!
This was my second play through as my first time was with my import after Awakenings and Golumns and therefore had the DR bug. :-(

The romance is active since that's the way my one saved that isn't bugged worked.
Haven't tried a save from inside the throne room.

Well, a dev has confirmed that there was supposed to be an automatic save at the end of WH. Good news, since this means they "only" have to fix the bug in the DLC to save also our DA2 imports...
Link to that, please

That's not what I'm seeing :/ I'm seeing more like 80% of people affected, but almost all now are able to do the fix (just have to play awakening again). I, on the otherhand, and some others still have to replay the whole game, wonder what fix they will do.

I no longer have a previous save, but this problem will be Fixed?
I'm mildly optimistic - BioWare put such an emphasis on the feature of importing choices from a game to the next one, the DR was such a major plot point, and so many people seem to be affected, that I can't imagine them just dropping the issue altogether.

guys, they are working on a fix... don't delete everything you've done, I doubt you will have to start over. However some of us will want to start over... like i want to do a dalish elf origin now...
I was one of the people that actually found the fix during the weeeeee hours of the morning. I had so many new "Devon" characters loaded in WH that I was going through and clearing them out and I accidentally deleted my Origins save, probably because I had no sleep. Last time I help everyone
So all I have is my awakening save, that's why I have to replay the whole game
But to others, yeah, do not delete your stuff, the fix is probably coming. Unlike other bugs designers and developers have been quick to state they are working on it, so I have faith, just hoping it's something that means I don't have to do my canon game again.

Er... why so? If they fix WH and allow to import from it to DA2, and you import Awakening to WH, wouldn't all your choices be saved?

Because it isn't WH that needs the fixing, it is the epilogue save nonsense. I used the epilogue save on my current Awakening character, so my awakening character has the bug.
Now, if they go through and provide a script of some sorts where you can pick your flags, such as:
Romance: Select one: (Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana, Zevran)
Game Ending: Select One: (Dark Ritual, Ultimate Sacrifice, Warden Commander, Redemption-orwhateveritiscalled-)
etc.
Then that would be fine. I could do that in awakening, then import to WH, then import to DA2.
However that could potentially give away free achievements, and I don't know if X-box (or even BW, for that matter) would be too keen on that sense they take achievements so seriously.
So more likely BW is just going to fix the epilogue-save flag resets and make everyone replay through awakening, or in my case, replay through origins and awakening (since I don't have an Origins save to import into awakening to redo). If that makes sense.

I use morrigan resto patch and a few cosmetic mods).
Got the ring/regret in Origin, stayed in Denerim (and returned to Denerim in Awakening epilogue), and Morrigan doesn't seem upset about the ritual.
edit : The save I imported to awakening, was done just before crossing the door leading to the epilogue sliders, in the post coronation "room"

Thanks for taking one for the team. If nothing can be done about it, I'm basically looking at another playthrough of Awakening with my modified coronation save (I used the DA epilogue editor to play around with a few flags with a save branching from my original playthrough). Luckily enough, I'm somewhat paranoid when it comes to my saves so I have another save at the door right before the final battle. I just hope that there's something resembling the ME1-to-ME2 import summary screen I mentioned earlier in this thread for DA2 as an early detection system for any other import/export bugs.

Jiks, you apparently happened to import the right, non bugged save (=not post-game) to Awakening. Lucky one...

However, Morrigan's choice does fall onto a default because a post-Epilogue save is chronologically supposed to be before the Battle of Denerim happened. It's possible that not only are we supposed to pretend it did, but the game may also be designed to pretend it did as well. Since this, chronologically, would have fallen before the Dark Ritual was even optionable, its possible that the choice automatically went to a default setting.
I don't know if this is actually what happened, but surely someone could have come up with a better way of handling how DAO operates after you have already finished the game. The programmers could have easily just done it the same way ME2 was done with the option to continue side quests after you have beaten the game. Of course, this would mean Morrigan would be gone from camp, but I think that if this is the actual cause of the glitch then this would have been a better way of avoiding it.
