So the WH "issue" is not tied to the romance bug in Origins/Awakening ?

Apparently it is fixed if you don't talk to her after the Dark Ritual

So if you want the DLC to not be bugged, you cannot get the ring epilogue. BS if you ask me. I have a save right before talking to her so I will go try it. But now I have to decide if I want to bother replaying Awakening. Granted, there are no auto-save or post-campaign save after talking to her, so you can't import it anyway.

Same here.

Human Mage Orign

1) Did not romanced morrigan, but was her friend.

2) Did the DR

3) Alistar on the throne, Anora imprisoned

In WH she says I denied her. PLEASE HELP!

DarkSeraphym: I refer to talking to her in Denerim. That's what makes the difference, apparently.

Kyneris: no, giving her the mirror doesn't avoid the problem! I (and apparently also Dave, and Aphetto, etc.) did that and still got the bug.

People said this about the boons in DA:O but it clearly had an impact in Awakening.

I got the same bug. I imported an Awakening character (who'd been imported from Origins to Awakening). The (male) character was in an active romance with Morrigan, did the DR, and didn't talk to her after it (except with the part at the Denerim gates where you talk to everyone because the game makes you :P )

Yeah, I was very WTF when she started saying I betrayed her by not doing the DR. I was looking for a "BUT I DID!" dialogue option. :(

Is there even a way to avoid talking to her in Denerim? I'd like to set up a playthrough that does everything right so that is why I am asking. I've played through the game multiple times and never have been able to avoid talking to her in Denerim.

Do you mean not talk to her during the Battle of Denerim, or do you mean in a post-game save? Because I dont have the ring epilogue and and I still have the bug.

The boons? How would it impact anything? It is a standalone game (in other adventures) and no way to import it out, so how could it affect anything when you can't import the Witch Hunt adventure (and choices) into DA2? You would only be able to import Origins, or Awakening, or Golems saves.

Mike,
you got the bug even if you didn't talk to Morrigan in Denerim after the DR? (when she begins with " You have something to say, do you?")

He was meaning battle for Denerim. I will go play through it all as fast as possible and see.

Be right back with hopefully a positive answer, just need to do Archdemon and WH, but I'll put it on easy to cruise through.

did anyone not get this bug?
I
-didn't do any work arounds for the epilogue
-romanced Morrigan, got the ring, gave her the mirror
-let logain live
-married anora becoming the king-consort
-did the dark ritual myself
-imported from the end of awaking

she said she had a child, but not of the soul of an old god variety. Seeing as how meeting her again was kind of the point of the dlc (at least a very large part of it) this is kind of a ridiculous bug.

This bug seems like it could very well be the best contender for "World's Most Chaotic Bug" in the gaming industry. How can a bug have such varying consistency in who it effects? I truly don't understand that. If it's a bug, it has to have a cause from some kind of design oversight. How is it possible that this thing only seems to effect some but not others?

Which leads one to believe that the DLC was not tested properly.

The bug seems to impact the large majority, I assume QA should have found it.

I spoke with her in Denerim when she was in my party. She didn't say that though. She would begin with "What is it? Why do you linger?" or something like that. My warden could say stuff like "Cant we just talk?" and she would basically brush him off.

Even so, that shouldn't effect whether the DR was flagged, right? I still got the epilogue where it says she headed towards the mountains with a child and stuff.

I'm not a computer science major nor a computer progammer, but is this issue a cross-platform problem? As in, are the vast majority of people finding this problem using one particular platform over another?

The fact that BioWare still hasn't fixed epilogue bugs from the original should tell you how much of a priority this is.

Well i did not romance her, and got the same thing. I played as a fem Cousland. So the dlc is just fu**ed up...

1) I romanced Alistair and was Morrigan's friend
2) I killed Loghain and put Alistair on the throne with my ass
3) I did the DR so we both survived...

I guess i will just import from Awakening as well...as i just got a "goodbye" from her and her grimore? Or what was that...

This is what I did and I got the bug too. I played with my Awakening save so I don't know if it makes a difference.

Bugged for me- my Warden romanced her and gladly did the DR, yet acted as if I denied her the Ritual. Its a great little DLC but the bugged ending, just like Awakening, really kills it.

I can't speak to where the majority is, but I got it on the PC, and I know console people have gotten it too.

In a way, that's a relief - it greatly increases the chances this will be fixed, at least by a mod. I was terrified by the idea I was the only one who got this Image IPB

I'm wondering if maybe it has to do if you directly did the DR or if you spoke to Alistair or Loghain about it before deciding to do it yourself anyway?

I don't think it makes a difference what save you import. I was floored when it didn't recognize my choices. I hope this gets fixed. If not then this would be called a canonized ending.
